I skipped work today because I was feeling a bit chubby. Taking a fat-day if you will. Bored, I listened to the H3 podcast in which TB makes an appearance.
I've always been a fan of the guy because I really respected his passion for Starcraft as well as his ethical, pro-consumer stance on the gaming industry.
As the podcast went on, I more and more felt like we were really lucky to have that guy in our (sinking) boat. Not only did he lead the Axiom team without the prospect of making much money - at some point he mentions barely breaking even without getting his time compensated - but now he's hosting a wildly popular tournament at a time where Tastosis on ASL get like a thousand views.
By the end of the podcast, the conversation turned to his medical condition. TB has stage four cancer, just listening to him describing that experience is kind of gut wrenching. 'If I have four bad days and ten good days, that's okay with me.'
Bad days aren't like my fat day. Bad days for him are days onn which he is zombified. On which he can't drink cold water or touch cold surfaces or he might die. And he's not even whining about it. What impresses me most is that despite his condition he's more productive and full of energy in his fourties than I am in my twenties. He travels to events and grinds out the content, and rakes in the money for himself and his family. I couldn't think of anything more badass and deserving of admiration.
I want to strive to become a little bit more like TB every day.

I want to strive to become a little bit more like TB every day. He is not in his fourties, he is in his early to mid 30s. That guy has a lot of going on in his life, sure as hell people like that have more motivation to fight and be positive than the lazy bum. He had to endure alot in his life to get to where he is right now. It is not that surprising to me how he handles all that cancer business. I also like the guy's stance on pro-consumer related things, but let's not go overboard.. he had his darker moments where he lashed out at people in our community for futile reasons. Nevertheless good luck to that guy and keep on fighting!

No he isn't, he has a teenage son.

Googled "Totalbiscuit age"
Instantly achieved the result "33"
In January 2013 he tweeted that he had a 6 year old step son, which would make him 10 now (or possibly 11).
This did not take super stalker skills to discover.

Sorry, perhaps due to his illness and baldness I always thought he was in his mid-late 40s. Anyways, that's not the point.

TB is a legend for sure. We are very fortunate to have him in te SC community.
And yeah TB is still very young, which just makes me respect him even more. I truly hope he keeps up the fight for decades!

Just do your research before making claims okay?

hey btw op did you know you were wrong about TB's age? just making sure in case nobody told you yet

Same here. Some people might not like the way he does things sometimes, but he has a position on many controversial issues (and has pushed great stuff at times), and you should respect him for it.
