Any information that the enemy gives me could be the difference between winning a fight at a boss or engaging in on a split team. Its so important to have awareness on what the whole of each team is doing.
Moving onto the subject of Walls. I find walls to be especially important in the mid game. When a teams forts are down most of the time the walls that were at the gate are still up. Sure they provide no defense and sometimes these small remnants of a fort could stay up for the duration of the game; however one thing that these walls provide is a small amount of vision. It is not much but I've seen many times teams give away their position just by this wall.
For example: I was playing a Hero League game on Black heart's bay. The teams were neck and neck but one small error sealed the fate of the enemy team. Our team had just won a small fight and were planning to do our knights when our walls (that were still up) on the bottom fort spotted an enemy hero with 12 coins running up to the turn in point. It was almost for a split second that we saw the hero on the map but we did. Immediately me and an ally mounted up and headed to the turn in point. Sure enough the enemy hero was alone and trying to turn in their coins. It was a decent move on their part. Get the coins in when there was a bit of time between fights and get a bombardment. The enemy would have succeeded to if it were not for those walls.
Now I'm not suggesting that either one of our teams play during that game was stellar but the small vision that wall provided meant we were able to snowball the rest of that game. I think walls were a great addition to Heroes. They are non attacking, non priority structures that many players seem to ignore. Taking out the walls of the enemy provides them with just a little bit less vision that may just help a team win the game.
As always thank you so much for reading. I promise that I will continue to write posts about Heroes of the Storm so that I can improve my game as well as yours. :D
