Since I have too many in-laws on Facebook, I've got less avenues to complain about the wife anonymously, so figured hey, a bunch of gamers with endless girl-blog problem seem like as good a place as any to vent. So here goes!

I'm now eating a gluten/wheat free diet at home/weekends because that was her new years resolution. I didn't know this before, but I love gluten! It's delicious. I used to like spaghetti and hate whole wheat spahetti, but now.. i get some quinoa mash as meatballs and squash strings as pasta. It helps if I don't chew.

Leaving electronics next to cups of water my son likes to spill. Ipads, laptops, remotes, active power strips... you name it!

On the topic of electronics, this woman does not answer the phone. I have to keep a computer on with skpe configured to auto accept calls with the speakers on high to say "WOMAN ANSWER THE PHONE". Then I get the call saying "You woke up the baby!"

Wasting baby wipes. I open the diaper, massive shit. I take 2 wipes tops to clean the butt real fresh, and another to apply some baby oil if needed. She takes like 8, then puts the dirty wipes in a fresh diaper and not even wrapping the smelly crap up to contain the shit.

Parking skills as noted in my Civic Blog. Also I told her to only use her fingernails to scrape the civic black plastic smear off and of course come home to "I used the steel wool because that was the only thing that worked". /facepalm

Being forced to comb my hair on the weekends. I admit to no longer realy grooming myself nearly as much after getting married. I used to do this really gay M-part down the middle of my hair to looks super-sexy but after a few months into our relationship (before we got married obv) she told me she pretty much hated it and made me look like Long Duk Dong from 16 candles. So after that I kept is spikey/messy. But on Satudays when all we do is go out to grocery shop with the kid, I don't really care to look nice for Walmart. Sure Whole Foods is different because I may see some co-workers there.

All that being said, her list for me would probably be 12 times as long, so I am glad she decided to settle ^_^

I don't mean it to belittle or make fun of your grievances, but I couldn't help smiling at all this. I hope you meant this all to be as lighthearted as I read it.

I feel like it would be SUPER hard to bring up solutions to these problems without starting a fight, right? Isn't gluten free diet not all that healthy? (Maybe I'm thinking of some other ______-free diet) I don't really know, but it's clearly disgusting. Maybe attempt to introduce her to the paleo diet. Sheth recently started it and from what I've read it's pretty delicious AND super healthy. I might try discretely getting her a book on proper diaper changing or something? Do those even exist? They have to. And possibly make her repaint whatever she scratched up with the steel wool so it's clear WHY you didn't say to use that in the first place?

:/ I dunno man, maybe I'm not helping haha.

All that being said, her list for me would probably be 12 times as long, so I am glad she decided to settle ^_^

I lol'd. You could try to get her to write up her list for you and blog it. It might be funny, and a good growing experience to share it with her/us at TL. Or it might just be a terrible fight-starter and a bad idea, so maybe just don't do that.

[edit]Too many maybe's, edited to not sound like a moron.

Dong....where is my auto-mobile?!

Some things are tasty like tofu or portobello mushrooms or black bean burgers, but I'm with you. Don't give it to me and try to tell me it's meat...or in your case wheat. Also, why no gluten? There's nothing specifically bad about gluten unless you have an allergy; like Kommatiazo said you can just stop eating grains.
I'm not stupid, a marauder just shot my brain.

Heh, I'm not really being too serious, just making a sort of historical reference to look back to years from now to laugh at since I can't use Facebook timeline or whatnot. (my old xanga / livejournal are emo-girl-blogs >_>)

My tactic is to eat the chocolate chips/chunks she has for baking. Mini-M&Ms are still M&Ms! As for the PIlot with the sexy wool scratches, I buffed it up a bit with some compound and touched up the spots that needed it. I'm not a big car-guy, so washing my vehicles twice a year on average heh.

As for all the food stuff, I guess it sounds worse than it really is. I'm in my early 30s so the weight is starting to tick up and my energy is not quite what it used to be, so I'm ok with being forced to eat healthier. Back when I was single my go-to meal was some sort of instant noodle with frozen veggies and fish balls. Or microwave dinners. My 3 methods of cooking back then were - microwave, foreman grill, or boiling (boild chicken breat, eggs with tea bags... because baking was too long, and stir-frying took away from my WoW-time)

I'm not married (way to young, in my opinion) but the one thing my Dad told (he and my Mom are still married) is that you can't live your whole life with someone and not find something about them that annoys you no how how much you love them. It's just the way it is and always will be, those things are part of the person you love so you just keep on loving them.

This also applies to friends in my opinion, even though you'd probably (hopefully?) spend less time with your friends than your spouse.

I've discovered through my time being married, the secret to a happy relationship is to find ways to spend time NOT together, too.

And yeah, bitching a bit about those silly little things is the best way to keep them from turning into big things.

And yeah, electronics and kids don't mix well, although at least my wife is a computer geek too, so she's a little more attentive about stuff like that.

I like to think that there are active things you can do to make your life happier with your wife. I don't know you or anything about your relationship, but these are things that immediately come to my mind in regards to your complaints. Someone once game me the advice that if you don't feel like you are doing more than 50% of the work in your marriage, then you are not doing enough.

*You can cook for yourself. Be happy and supportive that your wife is trying her best at becoming more healthy. Don't take for granted that cooking for you and herself is a lot of work.

*You could help her pick up electronics, and help watch your son more so he is careful around those things. Be happy that you have such nice things to share with her.

*You could understand that maybe she is busy and has other priorities than answering the phone. I would get rid of that ringtone, it sounds condescending. This is the woman that you love and is helping you raise a child.

*You could be happy that she helps change the baby. And you could not judge how she does it.

*You could have taken care of the scratch yourself.

*You could do your best to look your best. I don't think that is asking much. Groom yourself, cut your nails, smell nice, press your clothes. This is all part of being a man.

All in all it sounds like you have a really bad marriage. Maybe it isn't how you describe it. But I would think if you loved each other you would do everything in your power to make the other person happy. To be angry about such petty things as you have listed here sounds like you two aren't compatible.

I feel sorry for you and her and you child.

A good way to threaten somebody is to light a stick of dynamite. Then you call the guy and hold the burning fuse up to the phone. "Hear that?" you say. "That's dynamite, baby."

You should maybe try to speak some with her. Talk about all the stuff that make you feel mad and vice versa. Having a dialog and talk about the stuff you do not agree about is pretty much the best thing to do,

Don´t make a blog, talk to her.
You will still be here tomorrow, but your dreams may not

Agreed, its the little things that you love about your spouse, even if they annoy the crap out of one another. For example: apparently I grind my teeth at night and snore so she gets to wear the ear plugs and I get to wear the mouth guard! Super-attractive we are. "Can yew purnoff der wight?" "WHAT?" Of course I had imagined marriage as falling asleep in each others arms every night spooning... but in reality its too freaking hot to spoon and my arm falls asleep instead of me.

Mine isn't terrible per-say she just doesn't really care to know more than she has to send email, use hulu/netflix, or office. She does keep trying to throw my old gaming pcs up out though for taking up too much closet space... I plan to use them as backups for when she finally destroys her laptop. :-D My original Dell Mini was dunked into the toilet "by mistake" one day. It was never the same.

So just wanted to throw up some thoughts on the gluten free diet. I've been gluten free now for 5 years not by choice but because i'm allergic T_T I found out after my freshmen year of college and let me tell you going from eating pizza, grilled cheese, pasta all the time to not SUCKED. Now i've gotten used to being gluten free mainly because all the food you can buy has improved 100% since 5 years ago.

You can find some pretty decent stuff even at your local grocery store, which has helped out but the price will always suck.
I get some quinoa mash as meatballs and squash strings as pasta. It helps if I don't chew.

Just a suggestion next time you guys are out shopping look into getting rice noodles, they are much better than that squash mush you've been eating as pasta lol Also quite a few restaurants now have gluten free options, hell dominos even has gluten free pizza!

Keep on going strong and remember even though this wasn't your choice to be gluten free you can still go back to eating all the things you love soon ^_^
