Hey whats up? I'm not sure why I'm telling you this but I think I just need to tell this someone.
It's now one year ago that me and my boyfriend broke up. We'ven been together for 14 months, for me it was a quite long time. He also was my first boyfriend, we made so many experiences and I was really happy. But then we broke up.
A few months ago he wrote me a long letter. It was really long, almost 15 pages I guess. I really hated him, because the last two weeks of our relationship he behaved like an idiot. But in this letter he told me, that he loves me and wants me back. I was really mean, I just said: "Yeah, I don't care. I have a new boyfriend, he is not as naive as you are". (Now, I could slap myself for this stupid shit I wrote).
I really didn't care about him. Until now.
A friend of mine told me one or two hours ago that my ex has a new girlfriend and she looks like me (and really, she does. That's kind of creepy).
Whatever. It hurted me and I don't know why. I don't love him or something like this, I also had boyfriends after him but I dunno what's happening to me right now. It feels weird and sick.

What exactly is your problem? You're lonely and thought of an ex-bf? That's hardly a big problem. If it seems like it is one, go out with friends, meet people, have fun. =)

It's just a trick. You said it yourself, you don't love him. You're just feeling a sting of pride because you subconsciously thought he needed you and now you find out he doesn't.
Just take deep breaths and it will pass.

I think it's quite a natural reaction to have, but as you clearly state, you're in a better place with (what sounds like) a better boyfriend. Seems like the time has passed for you to be with him, but he doesn't recognize that yet.
Also, I have to say recieving a 15 page letter would freak me out. Back in HS there was a girl was really clingy and had a thing for me and would write me long letters (so long she'd loop the writing up into the margins), but never that long....

Sounds like a 13 year old girl problem to me. No seriously, that's totally normal. I also made this experience and after a week you'll be probably fine again.

You would be suprised at how girls do this and similar stuff 7 years and more later if my sorroundings is an indication.
To the OP, even if you did get him back now you would probally just "trash" him again somewhat fast, that is how most jealousy crushes work

it's your selfish acting up ... even though you break up with someone a part of your mind still believes that person is yours and and yours only ... it happens to many of us i would say ... you just have to outgrow it that's all ...

You obviously just miss him, noone forgets their first love. Some people get over this feeling and proceed with their lives. But some cant get over it and succumbs to the old emotions flooding back to them; up to you what to do tbh. Though i would not go back to an ex because there is a reason you guys broke up in the first place

I cant speak from past experiences (no gf  ) but heres a story for not going back to ex's
A friend of mine(H) had his first relationship, the relationship was going pretty well but H's bf wanted to move to another state and H couldnt go so they had to break up, afterwards H told him that he wanted to keep in contact and remain friends but he started to get a bit too attached to the hope for them getting back together later in life. H's bf wasnt really into the idea of getting back together they had a huge fight and broke off completely.
However after a few months later H's ex bf called him up and told him he wanted to get back together and he had dated guys that remind him of H. H at first was a bit confused but it was his first love and he was still attached (so basically a renewed "hopelessly in love" thing) and they agreed to get back together after a week H's bf (former ex) asked him to borrow $1G (1000) and so H gave it to him, and than H's bf broke up with him.
Which sucks big time, he basically conned him using H's feelings because it was his first love.
Not saying he happens to everyone (it doesnt) but just becareful Daeny, and i thought u like the other guy (from ur first blog) didnt u talk to him? What happened with that?

One could think that people learn how to deal with their issues after a certain amount of time. Telling yourself that it's all her fault and that girls "bring it on themselves" isn't exactly glorious. (Directed more at the first person, not the direct quote.)
15 pages means that guy either found his one and true love at <20 age and won't find any other person as awesome as the OP in his life again or was more or less bollocks with a few loose screws. Guess what's more likely. Defending something childish like that and shifting the blame to the girl isn't okay, you're projecting your own hurt feelings you didn't deal with.
PS: SHE said it was her first bf. We don't know what it was like the other way around. >_>

There is no 'one and true love', there are plenty of people that one could form their life with, it's just as some point people decide they want to settle down with one.
If a relationship ends, both people are at fault. This was a harsh way to remind the OP she was a part of that.

OP: I think this is just normal. If it was a long relationship, it was probably a good one (though not necessarily), and right now you are just reminded that you used to have it, but now you don't. Or more importantly, it is now someone elses, and someone else who you feel like could be you.
Just let it pass, you know you can find other people too. And even if getting back together with him is the best possible outcome, you probably want things to cool down first.
