I have had short hair my whole life. I want a new hairstyle.
Something longer than a buzz, but not too darn short. I know that many people here have experience with hairstyling. I am getting a haircut tomorrow, and would like any advice possible. Here are the images!!
Any advice? I think my face is diamond shaped. Am I right?

Any advice would be most appreciated. I want to change up my hair, and the generally awesome and goodlookinghairpeople at tl.net might be of huge help.
I shalt post when I get the haircut.

oh goodness.
when the picture loaded i only saw the top portion of your head
and i thought you were Pauly D...

Use a "one" on the sides and back, and tell them to leave about a finger width on top. Since it seems like you've always slicked your hair back, once they are done, just leave the top flat.

Omg this.
Anyway, I shall let guys give advice on guy haircuts because I don't pay that much attention, BUT what I do notice (and most women will notice) is that hair product. Find something less... noticeable. Shiny plastic heads are not attractive to any woman I know. It's sort of the equivalent of caked on makeup.
And yeah, diamond shaped it is. A hair style that covers part of your forehead and compresses your face a bit may be flattering.

Wish my bathroom had an under the sea theme =[

That is one high-definition picture, jesus.

There are three acceptable haircuts: High and tight, crew cut, buzz cut.
|
Wasn't their a hairstylist on TL sometime back. Hopefully he can give you some awesome advice.
My only advice would be. Don't get a bowlcut. Those things never leave you.

Not trolling.. I think you'd look pretty darn good without any hair
|
You have some nice hair if I were you I'd just get it trimmed a bit and just let it all messy and free. can i have your hair

I'd consider shaving it, just cause.
And yeah you can't really beat bisu hair
|
Shorten it a bit then ask them to style it by texturing and thinning it so you can style it how you want with product.
|
bring it forward bro and then just have it messy

loooool, this reminds me of when i was young(er)... terrible hairstyles with too much gel. honestly if you're looking for change then like most people you'll want something more modest before you grow the confidence to go something like all the koreans (yes i know some of you guys out there will think those haircuts are tame, but for a kid that age, having short hair all his life..). anyway it really depends on the style you are trying to fit e.g hipster, wannabegangsta, redneck hillbilly... you get the drift... really you should just lose the gel and go for something less slick? just google a bunch of images and pick one that suits you, then take it to your hairdresser. dont get it done by some old dude though, he'll screw it up. actually thinking about it, thats the best bit of advice i can give you... if you want something trendy dont go to a "barber shop" where theres only a 70 year old guy who has for his whole career only cut a short font, sides, back style.
the girls love trendy haircuts (or at least where im from :D)

Go for a shorter faux hawk.

this!
I have curly hair unfortunately, but if i had straight hair, thats how my hair would be!

You realize that they straighten their hair, yeah?

I just brought my hair back like that so length is apparent XD

Gawd, am I seriously the first girl here to post in a haircut-advice-blog?!
All right, here you go. Yes, your face has a diamond shape. The slicking-back-the-hair thingy is not so great in that case since it only emphasizes the forehead and makes your face look smaller compared to it. Also, whatever that long hair behind the ears does there - just cut it off. Looks too much Di Caprio for my taste.
So I`m going to agree with GTR and root for the Bisu-style: By "hiding" the forehead, it brings balance into the face and also structures it by slightly emphasizing the cheekbones.
Good luck tomorrow!

Remember the cleaner and simpler your hair is, the better.
|
I must agree with most of the previous posts: Bisu's hairstyle would look damn good on ya. Go for it!

Good luck tomorrow! Well, I just put it back so it was clear. In the imgur album other pics are what my hair actually looks like XD
Here is normal hair

Go for Bisu
And tell your mom to stfu (well, make it polite please <3) - if you go to a 6$ place, you could as well do it yourself. Invest in this bro, you're still young enough to justify good looks
|
Bisu's hair looks like a helmet, but nice anyway. :D

But yeah, it's gonna be a pain. I can afford it, but for a woman who is currently wearing pink sweats and a purple t shirt, and frequently does so in public she really doesn't give a crap about appearances.
Hardest thing is going to be finding a reasonable place.
Haha bisu...

What is he in the military lol?

How about a change and grow it out? :D
I used to have short spikey hair up to age 13 and ever since had it long and spiked (i'm now 20). Then again it depends on what type of girls you want to attract.
If you put in effort people pick up on it. I get girls coming up to me in town 2/3 times I go saying they love my hair. It's such an 'AWWWW YEAHHHH' feeling!
Alternatively, find a pic of a hairstyle you like online and show your hairdresser (they prefer this as it's easier for them to understand what you want) ^.^

I once had an english teacher wearing curtains wrapped around her because she was into India a little too much - was fun in winter^^
And you're younger than me, so don't tell me about age *coughcough*

that's how I run mine.
Keep the front bit longer, back short. Lay off the mullet (i think it'll work better, the girl is right, by pulling all your hairs back your forehead is even huger) Lay off the gel (I think it wastes a lot of time. It gives you "consistency" cuz no matter what ur hair naturally do you can always force it to look a certain way with gels, yet I think it is not natural at all. One should find a look that looks great w/o gels)
But you look young, your look is not yet fixed. You'll grow a lot and your head/hair shape will probably still morph quite a bit before it settles down. Don't worry too much hahaha, wait until ur around 21,22-ish when things settle down more before try to go for "the one look" you're going to keep for a while.
alternatively, just keep growing your hair out and keep geling it... + Show Spoiler +

Rofl.
Yeah, I just slicked it back to make length apparent. Normally I just comb it to the side, it lies flat, all is well.
