I'm so sad right now. It appears that I was invited to SW:TOR Beta, but I was supposed to redeem it by 18 November, 11:59. I found out about it just now, since I don't frequently visit Bioware forums.

This sucks hard, I wanted to check that game out

I signed up for the beta as soon as you could, didn't get invited till I was in China

. I hope the game is awesome, but I would honestly be surprised if it was. They are definitely trying something new for this game (as far as mmorpgs got that is) so while it could be the tits, I have a bad feeling it will tank.

That game was a huge letdown to me. I was so excited for it and pre-ordered it but then I got into the beta... Can't believe it was hyped so much. The graphics were terrible, the class selection was terrible, I would never play that game longer than a month at most. I cancelled my pre-order!

5.5/10 sounded like a good game, all the reviews are shit, I have a beta key for this weekend, but don't feel like playing because of reviews. Gameplay videos seem really generic.

Yeah, I like the feeling of novelty that comes with a new (mmo) rpg so as long as the UI is tolerable and the abilities are fun for the first few levels I'll be content =p.

just played it a few hours and could not agree more, kotor 1&2 were great singleplayer games, and no doubt the questing experience in this game feels very good for a mmo, but it is essentially WoW, and i have played that a lot, and would rather go back to that if i ever feel the urge...

I don't play MMO's but I was hoping this would be cool just because it's StarWars. Since it is still in Beta maybe it'll improve. SC2 kinda sucked when it was in Beta if you compare it to now.

As a huge Star Wars fan, I must say you are not missing out. The game has absolutely ZERO Star Wars vibe, seems like cheap copy of WoW (hate that game), the graphics ruin even that small part of the game, which coul've been at least bearable - the story mode. Combat is totally non-spectacular, slow paced & overally boring. You spend a lot of time walking from one destination to another, which is not even fun to look at, the enviroment is simply dull and empty.

So yeah, I'd not waste time and hope that they'll release a decent Star Wars game in the upcoming decade.

I think it is a great game, doing the quests in a group with a friend make it quite entertaining. I guess people are quick to call it a wow clone, because of the similar interface and combat. Their loss, I will definitely will be enjoying this game. The fact alone that when grabbing a quest means you have to wait, listen and make decisions will keep a lot of the kiddies and shit from WoW away will hopefully have a better community.
