I’m not normally someone to make an emo blog like this, but I’ve bottled up the aforementioned emotions for the better part of three years and at some point you just have to rant. The process of writing it and making up my mind to post it has made me feel a little better. This is something I would have posted on facebook but I realized I actually feel more comfortable posting it here, I think people here will relate to it more than my IRL friends.
I've been alone for the last close to 8 years. Yeah it can be like that at times but then again it has it's upsides too. I love doing things alone and hate noise and empty discussions. Think of all the time people spend on socializing that you can spend on...wait..what is that? ANYTHING Without no one ever criticizing, ever. Also most people are boring nazis.
You might be lonely now but loneliness is a passing feeling like love or happiness. Take it as an opportunity and you'll be out of it in no time. Being alone is time for yourself, and there is no one that comes even close to being that important in this world. (except me of course)
You can also go and talk to random people about random things, that's fun.

That's distinctly untrue, not many people seem to understand exactly how boring sitting around socializing is :/ I won't advocate it ALL the time around the clock, but knowing you have time to be alone is awesome

I'm pretty sure I understand your situation, I had the same thing until about a couple of months ago but without the friends, at all.Then something changed - a nice girl came into my life and understood me.She was sensitive, caring, I don't feel like that anymore.Someone will always pop up in your life, it won't be always lonely, not all people are identical, cold and superficial.I hope what happened with me will happen with you too, the sooner the better.Until then - don't give up. : )

Yea loneliness does suck. I generally don't mind being alone/by myself but I can still relate to how you feel. It is kind of interesting when you consider how important social interaction is to mental health. I hope you feel better soon.

I've recently gone through a breakup and yes loneliness does suck. Hell it's been more than two months and I'm still thinking of her all the time. Anyways, most of this thread is depressing so I'll leave with something a little more happy
I'm becoming increasingly okay with being alone 90% of the time. You just have to find fun things to occupy yourself with. I actually find having more than one social thing per week stresses me out. Plus I'm planning to move out into the countryside within the next couple of years for the peqace, quiet and nature.
Wow, I really like your post. Are you really that lonely IRL? If so, the TL community will always be there for you! I wish I could contribute by putting my own view on loneliness in this post, but all the ones you have are exceptional.
I feel fortunate to not be acquainted with that feeling. I can certainly count on one hand the amount of times I've felt lonely, and they've last no more than a few hours each time.
If it was me a few months ago I would've been like, what an emo blog... But I've gone through some things recently and I really can't believe how much the words in the OP touched me. Teared up going through the pages... Welp, at least we're not alone.
Loneliness is accomplishing something really neat and having no one to enthusiastically talk about it with.
Story of my life. And so, I accomplish things entirely for myself nowadays. Maybe it's not the right way to fix loneliness, but other people just don't make me happy anymore.

No it isn't. Loneliness only makes you feel like you don't have a choice. That's why it's horrible. The truth is that you could be doing all sorts of things to overcome the loneliness.
