If it's really "no reason" then they're bad employers and you can't do anything about it.

Hopefully you can use the money you earn to actually learn how to set up multiple sources of income (That don't require your physical presence) and you can become financially independent. Having a job is actually the worst way to make money. The wealthiest people in the world typically don't use a job as their primary source of income (There are people with normal jobs who are actually millionaires). Rather, they get their enjoyment out of their job/work.

I got my first job at 15 too (lied and said I was 16) It's really something to feel good about and proud of. I think it instills a decent work ethic and money is just more valuable when you appreciate the effort that went into earning it. People don't get fired for no reason. If you do the standard things like pitching on time, not calling in sick everytime something better comes up socially, work reasonably hard without being a wise ass etc you will do great.

I got 3 warnings before I got fired. 1, eating the icecream and feeding it to each other, straight off the scoop (OHS breach) 2, Wearing my pants half mast just to see if people would look down and see my underwear (indecent exposure) 3, repeating number 1 many times over. Got fired in the 1st month during my probation.

My musing concluded I will address practical issues: I don't think it matters whether you get fired for no reason or not. The income is big money for a kid and you will be getting some experience. If you don't work in the kitchen, figure out who can make food for you on the sly. If you do work in the kitchen, learn how to cook for yourself on the sly and then start making things way cooler than what's on the menu. Cleaning sucks and you will have to do it constantly if you aren't bombarded with orders, but being diligent and keeping up appearances will make your bosses like you and that makes everything smoother. You're going to be eating a shit ton of burgers until you quit. glhf.

Be prepared for the jerks, though. We had a war veteran with an eye patch who came in every single day and ordered a sweet tea. If the tea wasn't perfect, he'd go ape-shit. Also, on my first day of making sandwiches, I got an order wrong, and the guy called me to the front and repeated the order. Then he said "There, now is that so hard?" People look down on jobs like that, but that's only because they're pompous pricks. So enjoy your time there! And every time you close (which can suck pretty royally) just remind yourself that you have a nice, comfy bed at home and you're making cold, hard cash. You smell like mustard, but.... CASH!!

Someone actually being in college at 14 is pretty crazy stuff, that's skipping what, four or five grades? Congrats on the job by the way. While I never found working fast food to be particularly enjoyable it wasn't terrible either. It's work, but that's to be expected. As long as you keep up with cleaning and make sure you aren't careless you won't have any issues with being fired. That and take criticism well and be social. I really think that gets underestimated but if you work to be a personable person that gets along with everyone, managers included, you won't get fired. If you just kinda hang around in the background your much more likely to get fired for something.

I actually had a lot of fun, and the manager really liked me and put me in charge after three weeks, and I didn't even do anything exceptional/extra. Basically, just do what is asked, and be friendly with everybody (there will undoubtedly be an eclectic group of kids with various backgrounds); time will fly by and you'll have a blast. cheers squat the counter when no one's looking

I definitely am happy that I worked a lot during high school. It is really a good experience. It made me a lot more responsible, made me feel a lot better about myself, and getting money is naturally a plus. I always kind of looked down on kids that were still getting an allowance or asking their parents for spending money when they were in their junior or senior year of high school.

Yeah. I'm only now realizing how bad it looks that my teenage work experience is practically nonexistent, because I was ingloriously fired from every menial job I had (for not giving a shit with the same determination with which I should have been working), and that I would really be better off with a year or more's worth of experience at any position. I have a lot of funny stories of my total incompetence at grocery stores, but those don't play well in job interviews.
