Hi guys I am a Grandmaster zerg player on the North American server Blade. No i'm not in sPs I get asked this alot so I'll throw that out there right now just can't change name due to Blizzard.
My first replay pack seems to be gone forever can't find the file and the place i uploaded it too doesn't exist anymore sorry
Description: This replay pack will show case my new zvp style banelings into ultra and show casing some good usage of the style I am winning a lot with lately. This should have some zvz ling/infestor into ultra but probably early stages of me developing the build and not as refined as my guide, I could be wrong though.
Description: Korean replays, 100 exactly with some GM's and no idea who they are due to not reading korean. Has a lot more high level play then before and hope you guys enjoy
Notes: I will say this replay pack is 135 korean server games which isn't as much as it should be, and contains a little more rage then it should but in general has some pretty good gameplay and my recent games in the taiwan tournament (me vs mvptails and ogsvines are in there).
So hope you guys enjoy it and if a bit of rage (mainly vs toss :D) bothers you then don't download I guess? I don't know why I warn you guys of a little bit of rage but whatever lol.
Notes: This one has a little bit of raging so if you are easily offended don't watch? I don't know why I throw this in there but I do, also only from korean server as usual
Some notes: Pre patch has confirmed pro's FXOLucky and Clide, those are the only two I know for sure, clide is in korean but a friend was watching and told me it was clide, lucky's is in english. I don't read korean so if I have played others I wouldn't know. Played quiet a few GM's though
Korean: http://www.mediafire.com/?jwq73ja6z13yj6b No NA as I don't play on the server, this one has a bit more rage then previous so if that offends you well don't watch?
No NA again but starting to again next month. This one is released a little early due to me not going to be playing to many more games. This one is imo best korean replay pack I have uploaded in terms of game quality as I played a lot of high masters and about 5 gm's in this replay pack where the ones I win are actually 20 minute good games. Lots of good games so hope you enjoy!
Sorry guys no NA replay pack again as again I barely play on the server anymore 99% of my games are on korea but these provide better games anyway so shouldn't be much complaint!
Sorry guys no NA replay pack I have played maybe 30 games over there and almost all the games were not very good so no point these are much better anyway :D
Notes: This should have most of my ladder games from may 2nd on. There will be some shitty games, some good games, most should be more macro focused, and yes there is some rage as well. If you get offended by the occasional nerd rage then I guess don't download even though its not that bad. This does have me vs top players and has some pretty epic games. Hope you enjoy!
Notes: I Have some very good zvt's in this replay pack I uploaded (one vs everize, rangegirl, kyhol are 3 that come to mind that I would recommend anyone to watch all good games ^_^). Has all mu's but I think this one has a little more zvt then zvp/zvz enjoy!.
notes: This is every single game I have played on the korean server from losses to wins every single one so lots of zvz/zvt/zvp lots of cheese/macro. Enjoy! I went 5-0 on placement got gold then got promoted to platinum, diamond and masters.
Should have some notable names on there with more wins then losses as I tried to mainly pick macro oriented games instead of short games .
Has all Match ups zerg based of ZvT, ZvZ and ZvP.
Some information is I am a master league zerg for those who like to know rank, points are at about 3200 (3197 precise) (as of second replay pack) as I don't ladder too much do more customs them laddering. If you have any questions or comments I will answer them.
I will upload more replay packs in the future and i'll just edit this thread to add it rather then make a whole new one for those interested of course.
For those interested I do stream at www.justin.tv/blade55555 and all the vods of me streaming should be up I try to stream about 2 hours a day.

lol I was indeed. When I went to the third and saw those 4 orbitals surprised me as I thought when he was sacrificing those scv's he was going BC's. Imagine my surprise to see all those orbitals at the third ^_^.
Hey bumping this to let everyone know I uploaded a replay pack of all my games on korea. Got a korean account a week ago about and have about 100 games and decided to put them all as this replay pack.
hey blade I thought I would look for a zerg replay pack as part of my ongoing efforts to learn zerg and I stumbled upon this haha, thanks so much! very excited to watch these replays : D
I am in GM not master like the topic title says. Enjoy and no these aren't sorted just all the games I have played in the past month so there will be some bad games, good games, some rage, etc. Hope you guys enjoy .
I do plan on uploading replay packs every month so yeah!
Also trying to keep my replay packs in one thread so this is why I bumped this instead of creating a new one I imagine thats what the mods would want anyway so again enjoy guys ^_^
awesome!!!!!i love these non-filtered replay pack i can learn alot not only from the uploader too!! keep the good work up my good Sir!! love your guide btw^^
Awesome, thanks. I like a lot of the ideas you have in regards to slight adjustments to "standard' zerg play. Your replays are all very interesting to watch.
hey guys I'm releasing my monthly replay pack a week early this month. I have a vacation planned for next week and I will be gone for a week so I won't be playing much so just thought why not release the replay pack now before the patch hits.
I don't know when the patch will hit but I know how much of a pain it is to go back to watch old replays so I figured i'm going on vacation soon, patch will probably hit in 2 weeks, might is well release it now!
I also organized it. I have 2 replay packs you can download. 1 is organized with known players that i had good games with (or what I found hilarious games).
There are 17 in that replay pack. Some names it contains are catz (we had a pretty good game I would say ), minigun, machine, sterling, and some others. They are macro oriented games, except for like 1 or 2 so there should be about 14 macro oriented games in that section.
The other part of the replay pack is all my ladder games i have played on the NA server. so yes there is some flaming, some good games, some bad games, sloppy games, amazing games, etc. If you get insulted by a little bit of rage then don't download it I guess.
On my next replay pack next month I plan on containing replays from all 3 servers na, eu, korea and will split them up and have them together for the convenience of you guys! .
Thanks for the replays, that's a lot of games =) lol. You may not be the most well known player but definitely a pretty damn good one and worth watching
Thanks for the support guys really awesome! I didn't plan on playing much this week but I have been playing some games and decided to add my last 4 for the month. These will be the last 4 replays I do and the one vs liquidtyler showcases a build I have been messing with (roach/ling/infestor into roach/ling/infestor/ultra ).
Hope you guys enjoy this tiny bonus of 4 replays added to the hundreds otherwise. Also sense I got to rank 58'th decided to as well! The 2 players in the 4 you might recognise are liquidtyler and linko. Enjoy!
And look for my next replay pack August 1st, that is normally when I upload them this is just a little early due to leaving on vacation and what not even though it got delayed 2 days xD.

Always nice to see some korean ladder <3
Looking forward to see more in the future, keep it up!

Ah i think I only put 1 Korean ladder game in this replay pack don't want you to think a lot of them are think I only put one. But next one will have a lot, I just started mass gaming on Korea again lately. What is even more awesome about it is for some reason I have like almost 0 latency it feels like I'm playing on NA :D.
Hi guys, uploading my most recent replay pack for august! This one isn't going to be as good as last months as I have been pretty busy this month so not as many games, so I didn't play many notable players. I played a couple but not going to create a separate section for the 2-3 players I played that were notable .
Also there is a korean replay pack of mine as well, not to many games as again, I have been really busy this month in terms of vacation and work so not to many games played. Well have a lot more for next month!
Hey guys, normally this wouldn't be for another 3-4 weeks but I know my last replay pack was really lame, not really many decent games so I decided to do one a little early!
This replay pack will have 110 games all from the korean server. I have played a lot of good games on korea a lot more then I thought I would. So hope you guys enjoy this as again, all from korea!
Well you probably wont' want to watch about 1/4'th of the games due to either him all inning and I fail to defend, or I defend and he loses. With a select few of me all inning.
One thing I will say, you'll see me using nydus's on big maps like taldarim but later in game, stole it from losira ^_^
Hello guys bumping this to release my new replay pack!
I have 184 games in this replay back from august 10'th to September 1st. All my losses, wins, etc.
I am currently masters with 720 points or around there. The only notables in this replay pack that I know anyway (because I can't read korean) is my game vs oGsTheWind which is a pretty good game imo.
Hope you guys enjoy and without further ado here it is!
Thanks for the upload! Your replays are fantastic! I wish I could watch your streams more, but unfortunately my busy schedule prohibits such enjoyment.
Thanks for the kind words guys! Now its that time for my next replay pack to be released!
All from the korean server and this one had in my opinion a lot more good games then the last one. Had quiet a few good zvt's especially off the top of my head. 133 replays for all of you! All my wins/losses that I have played this month.
Can't tell anyone if I played any notables as I can't read korean. So here it is enjoy guys!
Again no NA replay pack as I barely play on the server as 99% of my games are on korea and I can't really say when I will next release a replay pack from my games on the NA/EU server.
After watching hours of youtubes (http://www.youtube.com/blade55555) and replays I finally won a diamond player in custome games. It takes alot of practicing which is now fun as I know what to do or at least try to know ;-). Keep up with your replays, guides and youtube. Appreciate it big time. Thank you very much
All right this is a little earlier this month due to the fact that there won't be that many more replays from the korean server by November 1'st so just going to release it now.
Next month there will be both a NA/Korean server replay pack like before but this one is again exclusively korean replays.
About 8 MB's worth of replays or for those curious 193 replays of wins, losses, etc. This pack has a lot of good games as in this pack I faced a few GM's and a lot of high masters so this has quiet a few good games imo in both zvt and zvp.
So without further ado here it is and hope you guys enjoy it!

Thanks a lot Blade! I recently discovered your stream, and just watching it has already paid dividends in my own play. Your commentary is insightful (and sometimes humorous), and you always answer all the questions from your viewers. I hope that you gain more exposure and more people tune in. Until then, they're are a lot of people missing out! I'm sure this replay pack will help my play.
Hey guys releasing my november Replay pack. I probably will not release a December one as I will not be playing to much for the next few weeks due to swtor and needing a bit of a break from the game but there will be a january one.
This one has a little more raging then my previous ones I think idk frustrating month lol also all from korean server as normal.
All right fellow people of team liquid! For those who have missed my replay packs no more missing! I have 160 korean replays for all of you fellow good sirs. No I don't really know any notables. I know I played gumiho but he was off racing zerg is the only known one I can think of off the top of my head who's name was in english, dunno if I played any others.
Some things you will notice - no rage (ok 1 game I said lmao I think after I lost )
A better zvp (wtf Blade has a better zvp now!?!?!) still my worst match up but you will see improvement from this week anyway previous weeks not so much lol .
A new zerg vs terran build (the one from teamliquid strategy that I just wrote)
Uh same zvz for the most part!
Lots of macro games, the ones before 1/20 are probably not going to be as good entertainment wise or skill wise as the ones for the past week. The next replay pack next month will be significantly bigger because I have moved away from my 2 hours of practice a day to 6-8 so there should be a lot more replays next one.
All right guys I have 237 replays in this replay pack :D.
The pre patch replays has me vs pro's that I know I have played either by someone telling me or there name was in english.
I played Clide, fxolucky and some others but those two were the most recent in the pre patch. I can't read korean so no idea if I have played any others but someone told me about clide and lucky was in english .
This replay pack is probably the most solid in terms of gameplay from me in not just mechanics but decision making and what not. You will also notice my "slump" period rofl you'll know what I mean if you watch those .
I have 25 on the new patch which I have in a different .rar file to make it easier so if you want to watch the pre-patch you can, but I know the annoyance of having to relog, etc so I made sure the new replays were in a different file so it is easier to know .
Why thanks guys <3. Those replays are about a month old so now for this months.
I got a little busy with school and so only have 140 korean replays this time. Good news is all the games are current patch so unlike last set of replays which a patch came out right before I released no annoying quit to watch .
Again don't read korean so no idea if I played any notables and hope you guys enjoy (some rage to). Enjoy guys glad to see people enjoy it ^_^.
Hey guys was debating on not uploading this but I am going to anyway.

Thanks man. Been on the lookout for any new Z replay packs, and this fits what I'm looking for quite nicely. Appreciate you uploading these and hope to learn a good number of things from it, even if was just how to rage better .
Oh man sickest replays. Was following your stream quite a few days ago, probably one of the most talented players out there. I'll check out your ZvZ, really hoping to find some ultralisk play of some sort.

The only ultralisk play you will see well be zvt, after the broodlord into ultra transition ^^.
Fairly sad that I haven't been able to get to see your stream lately. Not sure if my schedule changed (daylight savings) or perhaps you started streaming at different times or not as consistently due to study as you mention.
Regardless, I still think your stream should receive far more viewers than it does. Your commentary and play are both excellent and you are by far my favorite Z streamer to watch. Everyone else is surrounded by drama, which is OK too, but I prefer just solid play with good commentary and you always deliver on that front.
Once again, thanks for the replays! They are much appreciated.

Yeah the past 2 weeks I haven't been streaming as much as I have been wanting to. I have been playing a pretty good amount, but wanted to get some good practice in before streaming again. Today is when I am going to start streaming again like before, just past 2 weeks have been a bit hectic in that department and expect to see me streaming a lot more (also my mic broke which sucked 3 weeks ago and took a week before I got a new one).
Always appreciate the kind comments and for those who miss my stream it will be back and a lot more of it! :D
I also like these replay packs so keep them coming please! Your old ZvT roach opener guide together with replays and stream helped me turn ZvT from my worst to my best matchup. Currently using your "new" roach opener so I'm curious to see if there has been any changes to it lately.
What hotkey setup are you using? I'm experimenting with mine a bit at the moment to try to raise my APM a bit, I keep having too look down to reach far away keys which kinda throws me off. Your replays make mine look like I play with one hand or something

There is a little more refinement in the roach play I believe but nothing to new in that department ^^.
Hotkey set up, 1-4 units, 5 main hatch (this will normally have macro hatch as well), 6 natural hatch, 7 third hatch, 8 fourth hatch, 9 fifth hatch, 0 6th hatch.
If you mean by making units, whatever the defaults are. The only hotkeys I changed were f2-f4 to make them work like bw. My hotkey in setup is the exact same as bw except I can put more then 12 units in my unit hotkeys. I make them in separate hotkeys for flanking, muta/infestor should always be in separate hotkeys from ground army imo as well. I normally use 1/2 for ling/bane/roach half in each, 3 for muta, 4 for infestors.
All right guys, time to bring you guys my may replay pack. This one is a straight up 100 games, not as much as before but I played on NA more then normal this month to get my MMR back from 0 to high again lol.
Hope you guys enjoy, and it has some korean GM's (can't read korean so no idea what their names are if they are known or what not).
Hey guys june replay pack being released. This one is only 87 replays, a little smaller. Next replay pack I will probably start doing na and kr replay packs instead of just korea so next one will have both.
Notes: This replay pack will show case my new zvp style banelings into ultra and show casing some good usage of the style I am winning a lot with lately. This should have some zvz ling/infestor into ultra but probably early stages of me developing the build and not as refined as my guide, I could be wrong though.
So I noticed you tend to upgrade carapace first in zvp, even when scouting a fast +1 melee from protoss and going for baneling drops. It would seem the fast attack by protoss would guarantee they'd be up on upgrades until you get +3 carapace (if they upgrade continuously). Meanwhile, your ventril sacs finishes before your +2 melee, meaning you can't exploit banelings 1 shotting probes right away.
On the flip side, roaches remain to be the core unit for the most part, so do you find the carapace effective enough on both roaches and lings to prioritize it over baneling attack upgrading, as well as a quicker timing to 1 shot probes?
EDIT: On second thought, if you started it at similar times, the majority of the time you would remain on the same level. This means that anything besides the beginning parts of a very sharp timing will you be behind on upgrades.
Well, from what I watched, he's not using drops as a gimmick. In other words, he isn't researching drops just to kill probes and hope his opponent is under defended. Armor applies both to lings and roaches unlike attack upgrades and its better to have a more durable army to hold down the protoss balls while you hammer them with banelings.

Ouch.
Well I don't think it's gimmicky in the least, it's just a crisp timing that gives an opportunity for a ton of damage relative to the cost. Even if protoss is prepared, your banelings are probably the most pivotal part of the strategy regardless-- I think a baneling dropped in the middle of stalkers hits up to 6, and with +2 that's a substantial amount of damage. Ideally your banelings will be raining, therefor not taking any damage, therefor not benefiting from armor. So logistically armor applies to 2/3 of your core units: ling and roach. The melee upgrade also applies to two: zerglings and banelings. So the question more or less becomes is the lings and roaches having more lasting power against the toss army with less damage output better than having higher damage output and less survivability. This can be an entire debate by itself. The two turning points would be... In favor of melee: opportunity to 1 shot probes the moment ventril sacs is finished, and having that ability both at an earlier point and for longer throughout the game. In favor of carapace: mid game engagements aside from very crisp timings from toss you will be even or ahead on carapace, which is quite substantial. Also, if you're safe for a fast hive, you can continuously upgrade for very quick +3 carapace, which is great.
I think the attack upgrade will win a ton of games pretty easily just from probe damage and sloppy protoss engagements, but theoretically I think carapace should be a better choice if both players play correctly. Thoughts?
By gimmick I mean it is based primarily on your opponent not reacting quickly enough. This was only in regards to killing probes immediately after researching drops.
From the little that I watched, blade used drops for primarily banelings. Considering he was not fighting sentry heavy armies there is less need to drop an entire army onto his opponent and having a concave quicker than dropping units out is the faster, therefore better, choice.
As I am not referring to overlord drops as a harass/game ending strategy I would not favor melee first. Obviously you get melee upgrades but carapace first is not a poor choice.
Though it isn't unreasonable to expect your opponent to make a mistake pullling probes at some point, I do agree with you. This is what I was talking about when I said theoretically carapace should be better if both players play correctly.
I don't know what you mean regarding dropping an entire army on to his opponent, do people do that? Which part of my post were you referring to with that?
See Code S Group B (Symbol versus Squirtle, 5th set specifically) for that, yes. It brutally nullifies sentry-immortal based armies. It's difficult to forcefield away a metric shitton of roach/bane when it's falling on top of you.
