core i5 760 is better than an athlon ii x4 640.
edit: 5770 is slightly better than gts 250. (sorry, thought I read 4770 =p).
|
-Computer 1 has better quality ram
-The 5770 is a little better then the gts 250 BUT
-I5 760 is way better (and newer) then the amd II x4 640
-SC2 Is more processor heavy and you will run SC2 better with Computer 1
conclusion: get computer 1
|
I can pay 50 dollars and get the 5770 on computer 1, instead of the gts. Is it worth it? Will it make a big difference?
|
Can you mix & match? I prefer Intel chip, Radeon card, and corsair mem. If not I'd go with #1
Though with computer bits which is "best" is often dependent on what you're doing and up to personal preference.
|
The 5770 will have DirectX 11 and probably last longer than the GTS as well as perform moderately better. If the 50 bucks isn't a big deal, I'd go for it. The i5 processor is definitely the one to get, though.

You get what you pay for, but one important thing to note is that the 5770 is a dx11 card while the gts 250 is not. If you have the money go for it.

Yes, it's a webpage where they customize a computer for you.
Here is the base model for computer 1: http://www.komplett.no/k/ci.aspx?sku=10274
Here is the base model for computer 2: http://www.komplett.no/k/ci.aspx?sku=10180
I've upgraded both to get 4gb ram, and the first one to get the i5. I don't have much money, so I can't upgrade too much, but if the 5770 is way better than the gts, I will consider upgrading it. Also, if there is anything else I should upgrade, please tell me and I will consider it!

CPU 1 > CPU 2 GPU 1 < GPU 2
They are both solid middle level computers. Tbh i like both but i would give a small edge to the first computer ( if it is the same price ) if you don't run on a >= full hd resolution.

I shake my head in disgrace when someone people say these PCs are "mid level", it seems perfectly fine as a beastly gaming machine. Of course I would rather get the 5770 and swap out the CPU.
Probably because my PC just blows... Telling myself to upgrade or just build a whole new one for awhile now, still havent gotten to it.

The 5770 is a good card and the 250 is starting to feel old. Also the first computer's CPU absolutely wrecks the second one's.

yeah you're probably going to max things out but thats only because hardware is so far ahead of games technology right now, compared to high end this sort of thing is mid level.

Athlon II x4 and GTS 250 are mid level gaming ... it should be really good for most of the games below full HD resolution but high level gaming is i5 / Phenom II / i7 + 5870 / 480 / 5970 or a crossfire/SLI uh.

I would go with computer one
|
It depends on whether you need a better CPU or GPU. Second one has the GPU, first one has the CPU.
|
The first one is a solid computer. Also, the graphics card will run SC2 competently. Considering your goal, it will accomplish this. I myself use the GTS 250 on ultra settings on a 1440x900 display with no mishaps so far.
|
I guess I will buy the first computer, but with the graphics card of the second one. Thanks for your answers! Also, if you find any more stuff on the product site that I should buy, please tell me
