i have to change my internet provider (cablevision/fibertel) cause my govenment is obliging the company to close. Yeah they are forcing the company to shut down the broadband Internet service for 1.5 million households/users no to sell or to be dismembered to be shut down. I will have to, according to the news, change my internet provider just because the license of the company is own by a multimedia group (grupo Clarin) which the govenment is against.
That country that was applauded for their openness towards gay rights is now stomping on the Internet user rights, this not only affects me and my family it affects a wide and broad spectrum of companies that are users of this company. For example, My father company works for some of the people in the company they buy software and hardware from him so my fathers company will lose some of its customers, it isnt the main source of income for the company but its quite important. According to my brother who works with my father its for the best because Fibertel wasnt good anyways and it opens the door for DirectTV another company that will offer something similar but the type of pressure the governmente does to these companys makes me uneasy.
Despite the fact that I do hate the service that this company has provided me over the past few months it has been my internet and cable provider for 8 years and now im obliged to change it, i really hope i get a better or similar kind of service but now my elections have been reduced and people are going to get fired just because I dont think that is good for anyone but hey maybe im wrong and my govenment wants the best for me.. right?
