+ Show Spoiler + I've met a couple people, two of them are still my friends, and the other person I met was a really rich stuck up girl. I feel like there's a stigma that all the girls are fat and ugly. Although a LOT of them are, it is definitely possible to find attractive and interesting people. My 2 cents.

I had some neighbours who met through online dating, they were married, and they had their cute first date story where the husband cut his head on some pullout bed and it sounded just like some commercial. They were probably in their mid to late 20s.

What you should do. Spend the next year absorbing every piece of information you can about it, then try. Don't expect any results at first. It took me about a year to get to a point where i can message girls and almost guarantee meeting them. You will fuck it up - a lot. Don't take it to heart, just try to learn what is wrong. Theres plenty of online dating resources - google them!

My parents never really let me out of the house much, so I hung around online a lot (I played Ragnarok Online on a private server) and had quite a few sketchy online relationships over the years. It's... an interesting experience. However I've definitely noticed myself go from like being weird and awkward to practically being able to pick up any guy online and it mostly carried over to real life. I find myself a very self-aware kind of person though, so if you're not finding any luck and don't really get why then maybe you should talk to some people and ask for advice. Online's kind of a nice way to cheat where you can just save chat logs and have people read them after and give you advice. =P On a separate note, why can't you find anyone in your day to day life? If it is because no one around you share the same interests (ex. if you' really really enjoy a hobby or a subject) then I would just wait for college/university to find someone. Though you could still "practice" before then so you don't miss out/screw up with on the perfect chick when you find her. =) Umm.. I hope that helps? I don't think I was very organized in my thoughts but if you want specific advice on things or want to hear some stories shoot me a PM. xD

Me and my friend (who I later met in real life because we go to the same university) had loads of fun online seducing people (not intentionally persay). For him, I think the whole playing the guitar on vent thing really helped, but he just had the right kind of "nice guy" personality to pull it off. I assume high school because it's summer and most people would be 19 by the time they are done 1 year of university. Personally, I think meeting a girl takes less time than "maintaining" a girl, but that's cuz girls are fussy creatures (and I'm allowed to make fun of them because I am one xD).

Better yet, pretend you are Day[9] and date random TL users who don't know better

Try looking around communities and forums that strike your interests (besides TL) and make some friends. I haven't had any personal experience with dating sites, but I would think that two people meeting online for the specific of dating wouldn't end up in a very satisfying relationship. Same here (ut we aren't together because she lives across the country tt). You have to move away from the video game ones really because it's impossible to find a girl due to the gender disparity. A music interest focused one is a good idea. So now I finally found someone who I really liked talking to on okcupid (which I recommend to people because it's free and easy to get started and has a pretty cool community), she got real busy with end of school semester, we start talking again a month or two later, and now she's moving away in a month. The minimum age on most of these sites is 18 - i really wouldn't start it till you are like 20 minimum. As stupid as it sounds, the online dating scene is like - if you are younger than the girl, 5% chance of her replying (half the time they put a limiter so you cant even message them if you are younger depending on how hot they are) unless you are a baller....so you are limiting yourself to 18 year olds who are getting messaged by 22,23,24 year olds with jobs and higher baller status. What you should do. Spend the next year absorbing every piece of information you can about it, then try. Don't expect any results at first. Theres plenty of online dating resources - google them! I can definitely confirm what Kennigit said. When he made his blog post about online dating, I thought "fuck it why not try," and it's been about 7-8 months since I've been there and just in the past month my success rate has gone from about 10% to 90% in terms of getting responses from people and meeting people. Other stuff... I've found that (I guess this could depend on location since you usually do searches for people by location) there aren't a LOT of attractive girls but there definitely are some, and I think Kennigit mentioned this in his blog but... make sure your initial message makes them laugh. If you send them a message and they laugh, you're practically 100% guaranteed to get a response back. If you follow up well, you're guaranteed to meet them.

+ Show Spoiler + For a few years I played free MMORPG's and in case you didn't know, a lot of them have insanely high female populations, close to 50-50 if not more girls than guys in some cases. I've had my fair share of online relationships, many were just me and some girl talking flirtaciously and things escalating really quickly. Those lasted a few weeks or a couple months, break up due to boredom more than anything, stay friends, whatever. I'm not oging to quit a video game that i've worked hard to get up to just because of a dead relationship. What I can say is that I have met my partner in life online. She actually began to play the video game I did lol, we did everything together and pretty much reached the top of our server together. But we definitely didn't meet originally with the intent on dating, just like the best situations in a real life ordeal, it all builds from friendship and respect. My advice is to make friendships online or in real life, and have them go from there, don't go into a situation with a girl with the intent on trying to date them, the best relationships come from something that builds up. Not something rushed in to
