This tone reminds me of Killswitch Engage's "As Daylight Dies" album, just an unmastered version. Do you guys like this tone?
P.S. I know this music is FAR from groundbreaking and I know that we're not doing anything special production wise, basically me and a few friends were in a band like 3 / 4 years ago and had about 12 original songs that we're going to record now just for the memory's sake. Some of the best times
So without further excuse making, I bring you the unmastered instrumental version of one of our tracks for your (production wise) critiquing!
I'm pretty damn set on this, just double checking across all the boards to ensure there's nothing horribly wrong with it that I'm just not hearing: http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/286663

Dude you're right, this sounds like it was ripped straight from old KsE. That's good though ^^
Every time I listen to your songs I always expect vocals to pop in somewhere. You really need to find someone good to do vocals on them. I would but I don't know if my style would be appropriate.
Really nice work man, keep sharing these with us!

Agreed with LordWeird. I'm always expecting the vocals to kick in haha. The sound is really good though, nice and clean.

Yeah we're going to fly our old singer in to lay vocals to all this shit once it's done. You can check him out at www.myspace.com/glasgowsmile (super old recordings). He's a beast at the rock / poppy metal thing :D
In particular check out "Nostalgia" and "Newfound Remedy" for vocal highlights. Album teaser is a joke song and To Kill A Sunrise is very old.
Oh, and thanks for the support! :D

cymbals, china, crashes etc are too low. edit: hihat is ok imo.
I don't like the sound of the snare, too dry, but thats a matter of taste. The above is not.
very nice production overall though. I want this album

I really hate that singing style. It's that same radio-rock style, but the recording you have done sounds very good. Me hating that style is just a personal preference though, so rock on
|
I'm inclined to agree with Navane, though I do think the snare is fine.
Other than that, this is great. The bass kicks aren't that clicky, and the guitars sound good.
Great job. Be sure to post the entire album once you're done with it. (:
