I'm actually pretty confident right now that MarineKing will definitely get far in this tournament. I think what has held him back in past GSLs is the fact that he's always weak in his Bo1 while doing better in almost every other Bo3 situation like the super Tournament. I think he's going to make it out his the group stages this time around, maybe even possibly get Top 8.

I see Happy and aLive taking this group easily. MarineKing's TvT isn't as strong as the other Terrans in this group and I could honestly see him dropping all of his matches.

This is a really tough group because the competition is so close, but every single player is easily capable of taking this. aLive is easily one of the most underrated players with the exception of maybe Mini-Mvp, Happy. MarineKing always seems inconsistent, winning matches that he shouldn't and then losing ones he should. And then you have Brown, who got next to no attention after beating both Ryung and LosirA 2-0 only because fOrGG was doing the same thing and he's fOrGG! Plus, not only does he only have one match-up to practice while everybody else has to learn two, he also is on SlayerS and therefore is good vT.

Last season aLive was the person who I kept saying that he would lose, and then he'd get through, so I'm giving him a vote. Brown was really impressive last season, and after Happy lost to two Protoss players in a row (while they were SangHo and Oz, two of the best P's) I just think that Brown may have a shot. MarineKing could win this, but I don't think he will. I feel like MarineKing's major problems in TvT spur when he plays T's who go for mech (like Mvp, GanZi, or Happy), but since aLive favors a more bio-centric style MarineKing might be better against him. After all, MKP has his name for a reason.

Part of my votes is just the fact that I really like aLive and I really want Brown to win, but at the end of the day I actually think that they stand a good chance.

And now it's going to be MarineKing and Happy just to spite me.

Oh man, I totally don't know.

Haven't seen enough of Brown to really get a proper picture of his PvT. Beating Ryung is unfortunately not really a statement for good PvT.
aLive has been good but not great for ages, sort of waiting for his breakout tournament.
Happy is a force to be reckoned with.
MKP is preeeeetty inconsistent.

Uhhh,

Happy > MKP
aLive > Brown
MKP > Brown
Happy > aLive
aLive > MKP

I can't in good faith bet on an unknown Protoss unfortunately, though now that I'm voting this way I expect him to wreck the group.

As much as I WANT MK to advance I think it's going to be Alive and Happy. No idea how good brown's PvT is beyond the couple games with Ryung, though.

I haven't seen many games of Happy lately, so I don't know what to expect, but he's always been pretty good.
Alive has always been underrated despite his solid play; he should advance 1st from the group. Brown I know next to nothing about, so yeah... I want MKP to get through, but his play is still kind of shaky...but since I've seen more of his games I can't put him through >.<
ALive and Happy through.

Happy < MKP

I'm going with Brown and Happy here!

Happy > MKP
Brown > Alive

Happy > Brown
MKP > Alive

Brown > MKP

The last game (MKP vs Brown) can go either way but I still think Brown got it. He trains with some of the best terrans in the world (SlayerS) so he should be strong in that matchup! While MKP have been okey vs Protoss lately.

I also feel like protoss in general are doing great now and they will do that for the start of 2012!
