Well, since even you yourself can see it in Internet Explorer and it works on Opera on my end, there must be some issue on your side. Try disabling extensions, especially adblockers sometimes do this.

Hey there,

First of all i'd like to give a big shoutout to the liquipedia staff for putting up an amazing wiki over the years. I've been using liquipedia for over 5 years now, but it's the first time i'm commenting about it.

What would you think of implementing a team players timeline (especially for team based games such as Dota or CS), as wikiepdia does for band for instance (goo.gl/oW5CPP). I think it would be beneficial for visualizing which players used to play together under said team at a given time. The current former squad is not satisfying for that purpose : the join date and leave date entry is mostly confusing when you have lots of different dates and different players.
For instance, in dota 2 the color scheme could depict the 5 positions (carry, mid, offlane, support, hard support).

I know implementing this must be a lot of work, but i'd like you guys to think about it because I believe it could an interesting feature.
Tell me what you think of it.

This idea has bounced around our discussions for quite a few years. There are a few extensions that seem to handle it decently, but I'm not sure any of them are too clean looking.

Visualizing data is always nice though.

I was looking at the Samus page for SSBM (http://wiki.teamliquid.net/smash/Samus) and noticed that she was considered A tier, even though she's been C tier for over a year. After digging a bit I noticed that even though the graphic at the bottom of the page is the 2015 tier list the sorting system you use for categories and under character information still uses the 2013 tier list (http://www.ssbwiki.com/List_of_SSBM_tier_lists_(NTSC)). Please update!

Feel free to help out fixing it, we are a bit short of contributors (as of usual) unfortunately. We can teach you how to edit in our discord server at http://www.liquipedia.net/discord

Yes the new design is terrible. I can't seem to find anything I want (like the edit button, recent changes button). There is too much unused space (it only uses half the screen). It seems I good design to use on mobile version, but on desktop it is pointless.

The amount of unused space on my 15 inch laptop makes it near unusable unless I zoom in with the browser. Also on this screen size, the information is now way more spread out. On a desktop size screen, spacing is not important for readability like it is on a phone, so I don't find the considerable extra scrolling required to see information convenient. This is especially true with the upcoming matches. I would prefer not having to scroll as much to get quick info such as that.

The new design is a downgrade indeed. It's another case of the whitespace plague.

For example on the boston major page I could see all four groups on one line with my 1080p screen, but now only two groups fit on a single line.

On the open qualifer results page when looking at the bracket results, a part of the bracket is hidden and there are horizontal scrollbars. Here's a screenshot. Do you really claim this whitespace is superior to just showing the information I came to look for?

Yeah the new Dota wiki design is bad. It's like a free Wordpress template.

Everything is way too big, text, buttons, icons. If I zoom out twice it's ok, but I'd rather not do that every time.
Why are these sidebars so huge? The "contents" functionality is great (especially since it's annoying to navigate with scrolling now), but it does not need so much space. The one on the right disappears once you scroll down and just leaves huge empty space. The meat of the webside gets squished in the middle (where everything is already too big) and you can't even fit brackets on a website people use for brackets.

I don't understand why anyone would think this is better than what we had before.

I just gotta say the new dota wiki is cool but there is way less information on the screen. I have to scroll twice as far and and scroll up and down a lot more to see information. Can you make the middle column stretch to max width like the old wiki.

A widescreen version of the skin is in the plans, although I think it should be pushed forward on the schedule a lot. I agree that this is definitely a large issue.

Some talk page of new Dota 2 wiki has no skin/CSS.

EX: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Talk:Silent

Edit: seems not limited to talk page, this one: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Yang_(Zhou_Haiyang) has same CSS problem

Another one: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/dota2/Purge_(Kevin_Godec)

This is another page to show that the middle column is way to narrow.

There is a lot of blank space in some pages, which makes me scrolldown more than usual. The reading is not attractive. Everything is too white, some colors would be nice to contrast well. I hope this can help.
Thanks.

I have a very minor suggestion for a design tweak. Currently, inactive tabs sit "on top" of the border line that runs along the bottom of all the tabs:

In my opinion, the inactive tabs would have a clearer sense of being "behind" the active tab if this line continued through the bottom (Chrome and Firefox do this for their browser tabs).

Here's what I have in mind:

maybe it already has been suggested, but have you guys ever considered highlighting recommended games?

something like this would be nice

Highlighting good games is indeed something we thought about before, in the end we found it to be very subjective though and hard to define.
