ill say pretty much what i said to someone else; Honestly, either Play Random/all races (DON'T BE AFRAID TO PLAY MORE THAN ONE RACE) or Play the race that first appealed to you AND JUST DECIDE TO DO THIS 100%( Also don't choose a race because you think its "easier" or you will regret it/want to switch races in the long run.) --- Also sc2 is a game that takes a long-very long time to improve or even play comfortably so don't decide to change race based on losses or getting annoyed at yourself playing poorly or a certain MU.

the first race that appealed to me for "fun" was toss, but i got to diamond on ladder by just massing marines haha. Are there any good customs or guides that i should check out as well? Thanks for comments btw

Followed through for SC2. For you, I'd say if you have no prior experiences, like everyone's been saying, just go with the race you'll have most fun with. (though I doubt it since the balance whines never end) DO NOT go with the race you believe will "win it all." It's SC. NEVER will one race ever "win it all."

Mr. Bitter 12 weeks has info straight from the pros. Day9 has loads of videos for everything. Download replays from major tournaments to see how good your macro/micro is and can be. Take notes from everything and just practice the hell out of your bad match ups with friends. Eventually your winrate will even out.

So far my win rate is very good with terran, mostly doing gimmicky builds that somehow work lol. I can say ive gotten a lot of BM playing Terran, but im winning so i guess its worth it. my second best race is Zerg, but i feel like i lose to random crap all the time. Im also like 9-2 in my TvZ's right now. I guess ill be staying Terran for now until i feel more comfortable with Zerg.

+ Show Spoiler + J/K play what you feel comfortable with. I play zerg because I hate the claustrophobic feel of the other two races in this game..

If im just 4-gate'ing and colossus/stalker deathball, i wouldnt say im having any more fun than Terran. I do like the stalker Voids build, but a good Terran can react to it correctly. Protoss is just my favorite race asthetically and stuff, but actual game play i do like the way Terran units harass and micro. my biggest problem with Terran is finding a good way to fight The protoss deathball late-game, but i guess that's not just a problem of my own.

Lasers and psi blades and magic storms. Our units are more expensive because they are more awesome. Pick one random protoss civilian and pit them against any other races random civillian and ill put my money on the protoss. He wont just fight like a wussy either. Our civilian is doing it for auir. and you can to. On June 24 2011 15:54 Cryosin wrote: Read any/all of thisAre there any good customs or guides that i should check out as well? I think its really important that people pick a race that is fun to play both winning and losing. Because if you're not having fun, you're going to burn out. Pretty much everyone has fun when they win, no matter which race they play. So I think the important thing is to pick a race that is fun to play even when losing. For you, that sounds like Protoss. You might be more successful with Terran on the ladder right now, but the higher you go up in the ladder the less those abusive builds will work, and then you'll be stuck losing and wishing you went with Protoss instead.

Do you like to win decisively? Would you like to macro easily? Do you like beams? Are you okay with peaking in the mid-game? Protoss Do you want to win a lot? Are you not creative at all? Do you want early detection and free money? Do you want an effective counter to every unit in the game? Terran

Terran But how can you say Noooooo......? hahaha PS: You "can" be creative with Terran, it just usually involves some kind of cheese =D
