lol
Since Starcraft is a game dominated by Students, it would be wise to get a house near Universities/Colleges. Kingston or Toronto, Waterloo and such!
I'd totally b down to live there, but Barrie has nothing for me.

I'm not interested (would be a hell of a commute for me XD) but I'm just wondering how big 5000 square feet is. People often tell me how big their living space is in square feet but I have no idea how big 5000 square feet actually is... any idea how I would go about training my mind to understand how big that is? I guess I'll start by asking my parents how many square feet their house is... if they know...
5000 square feet is gigantic. A small studio apartment is under 500 square feet. A medium-sized townhouse is around 1200 or so. 3000 is a good-sized home in the suburbs.

While Barrie isn't downtown Toronto, Toronto is a big commuter place, and I know that to get to school, most people commute. As someone said, you can take the GO trains to Union Station and then take TTC to get around Toronto.
If I weren't scared of a starcraft house distracting me from my schoolwork, I'd be considering moving there based on price.

Now I'm really curious to find out how many square feet my parents' house is... I'm gonna guess 3000.

Best of luck. Sounds like, at the very least, a massive house.

just here to rep tdot, carry on

i'd visit once in a while. I think dde was interested in one for a bit.
if ur managing the house... ever consider selling it and moving to north york or somewhere in toronto? you'll get lots more very good players interested.

lol pretty cool idea, good luck masq

Thanks for the comments and PMs so far, keep em coming.
In regards to the location, Barrie isn't THAT bad with snow. Try going further up north like sudbury or the sue. It's not practical to relocate to Toronto because of costs, but I agree that Toronto would be a better location. As previously mentioned you can take the train to Toronto in about 30minutes, its not bad at all.
Because of the messages regarding pictures/etc, I'll just create a walkthrough video this weekend.

woo I love video walkthroughs of big houses (= can't wait!

A small house built 80 years ago in North York is like $800 000 in North York. I doubt a 5k sqr ft house in Barrie is even close to the value of a house in North York.
York Region might be viable for a relocation. Low starts at 300 000.
