Mygad! With our thinkers we can already populate a country! If we add our musicians, scientists, inventors, and all world renowned Germans, we can already form a medium-sized continent. :p

it's not legal in the Netherlands...it's just not at all enforced for the most part it's not criminal to own weed but the production and transportation of it is to some extent and the punishment is a slap on the wrist when it is enforced.
Its just decriminalized, so coffeeshops aren't allowed to buy weed but they are allowed to grow a couple of plants and sell. Production and trading is as illegal as anywhere.
anyway some stuff about nl:
The first multinational was created in NL ( VOC, the dutch east indian company ).
The first stocks also come out of NL from the same company ( the oldest share on this world is also dutch :p)
A dutch 'stadhouder' kind of like a king at that time in our history was the last one to 'invade' England :p.
Belgium: special about my country: We don't have a governement for 1 year. But it doesn't change anything. I am starting to think we don't need a governement at all...
Seriously, the US is the least unique or original country on the planet. Wish I could be French.
Wasn't Greece the first free, democratic country, like 3000 years ago? >.> I think Sweden has the least amount of religious people in the western world, high taxes, etc. That's about it I think. Nothing special at all really. We also share the "uniqueness" with Belgium that it's illegal not to go to school under the age of 18 lmao.
Isn't it 16 years old? After 9th grade you can drop out of school if you want.
Australia we 2 need to vote at 18 we have a huge ass rock that people come and climb for some reason... and we have a unique animal called...... (wait for it) THE KANGAROO
1. While 50.8% of our male population is overweight (highest in EU), only 8.6 % are obese (4th lowest). And if you want to have slim woman, only 20.3% of our female population is overweight (EU lowest) and 8.5% is obese (EU LOWEST.)
This may have to do with part 2.
2. Austria has the highest number of smokers between the age of 12-40 world wide while also maintaining the #1 spot in highest alcohol consume between 14-26 worldwide. Not the highest alcohol consume overall, only in this category.
3. We absolutely love soccer. We watch soccer, we talk about soccer, we play soccer. Why is this a unique thing about your country ? Because our national team might be one of the worst teams worldwide and the last prideful moment might have been when we beat Germany back in 1978.
4.Technically Austria is still "neutral" so we cannot join the NATO.
France : It's the most bashed country in the world, we beat USA because we bash ourselves a lot too. That's what make us really unique. Don't speak about strike, it's about bashing the owners and government (don't understand why you don't it that much elsewhere, it really piss them). Ah and a last thing : holydays! We are the country with the most holydays in the entire world, and this is a true gift!

Not to mention the unnecessary "political" debate. Way to ruin a fun thread, guys, congratulations.
Seriously. This over and over again.
You guys suck at even reading thread titles.
To be fair, just because it's common knowledge doesn't mean it's not unusual.

Greece had like 80% of the population in slavery. It was free and democratic as long as you were a Greek citizen and male.
It's in no way illegal to not go to school in Sweden, don't know where you got that from.

that's not unique, cuz now France is the only country besides Australia that has WILD Kangaroos!! That's right, WILD as in not in a zoo, not someone's pets but in the wild. How is that possible you ask? in 1999 there was a massive storm in France and a bunch of Kangaroos escaped from the zoo and they went and ran to the Forest of Rambouillet. Now there's a community of them, and they've thrived! YOU CAN SEE THE 'BEWARE KANGAROOS' SIGNS IN FRANCE! :O lol.
