Blame your country's laws.

Otherwise event looks great
"Amateur" is just another way of saying it's an open tournament. So I don't think people should read too much into that.
But I guess anyone can register for funzies and maybe play against a "pro" and to experience first hand the gap between you. Or maybe cheese them for the lols. This is much like MLG's open bracket.

So what is going to be casted? I assume the Ro4000 isn't going to be, and that casting will start at the Ro64?

Why blame my country's laws? I don't know of any that would stop us from being included in this list. Hence asking for clarification and investigation so I have a more solid understanding as to why myself and all the other Australians posting here are being excluded.
Totally fine if they come out and say "Its because of these laws: ...."

I was just Messing around with the URL and theres already over 8000 registered. What a mess lol.

Issues with countries not being included is most likely due to competition laws for each country - it's all different. I'd imagine that the guys behind the pro/am are researching and trying to find out exactly which countries would be eligible for sure, before putting them down. Or at least I'd hope that's what's happening.

Now Poland and we're all cool! From what i know we only have some kind of tax from the prize you win but it should be payed by the winner if he wins in foreign country.
|
Why is Australia not allowed to play in it? and other SEA countries as well? we have a free switch to NA @_@~
|
Btw., is it possible to unregister for the amateur tournament somehow? I thought its possible to register for both tourneys and because i was too lazy to write the application for the pro tourney at first i just started with the amateur one, but now i cant register for the pro tourney anymore :D.

man this is amazing, can remember only a few years ago when nvidia said they were gonna withdraw their involvement in esports completely. Good times.

I dont understand how the amateur schedual works. Are there 15 diffrent round where u can qualify? Or do you have to play all 15 rounds in order to qualify?

This is a pretty crazy tournament. But pro players don't need new graphics cards, I do!!! Gotta win me a amateur division but Australian Oh well, good luck to everyone and the tournament admins!

Just add Poland, so many good players here and about law, like Nerchio said, if you win something you schould pay a tax for it.

imo the pros should get all the prize money and the amateurs should get all the graphics cards, I highly doubt the pro players would do anything with them other than sell them as they likely already have free gear from sponsors, and pro players need money as opposed to amateurs, who would probably be very happy with a new graphics card
just my 2c
