Like they said in the thread, if you want your country added, tell them and they'll put forth the time and effort to investigate the local laws and determine if they can add it. It's kind of a bitch to have to do that for every country on the globe if you're not sure people want to play.

Or hey, maybe if you're a lawyer, you can volunteer to do it for them!

1. Eligibility. The Tournament is open all individuals in the following countries that are 16 years of age or older as of June 2, 2011, and who properly register for the Tournament (each a "Player"): Canada (excluding residents residing in the Province of Quebec), China (excluding Hong Kong), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Netherlands, Norway, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States. Each Player may be required to show proof of age and residence. ALL PLAYERS MUST OWN A BLIZZARD NORTH AMERICAN ACCOUNT. IF YOU DO NOT SATISFY THESE REQUIREMENTS, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO REGISTER AND/OR PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT. Participation in the Tournament is also subject to compliance with the requirements specified below and in the Game Play Rules. Employees of Sponsors and their immediate families (parent, child, sibling and the spouses of each) are not eligible to register for the Tournament. The Tournament is void where prohibited by applicable law.

- That means there are a lot of countries who can't play @_@""

Ok that makes things easier. Guess no Sweden allowed. Don't have to ruin my entire summer.

What exactly do you mean? You could just no show. This is not mandatory by any means, unless millenium would force you to participate, but i doubt that.

Bah, should have split amateur into two separate tourneys, one NA and one EU. Not gonna buy a NA account to participate

You can apply and say why you want to be in the pro division during the registration but doing so does not automatically get you in the pro division.

I think hes saying that because most of the people applying will be in masters or grandmasters. That will just make it more impressive when I, a meager gold leaguer, rise above my enemies in crushing fashion

I'm sure people from across all leagues will participate but the winner will certainly be someone who's ranked as a master.
