So there are a lot of EU countries allowed, but everyone has to play on NA server? This is bs. I have an EU account and I live in UK, but because I don't have NA account I can only watch. Nice one guys!

So I still see NO ANSWER to one problem... Are you going to let the "pro" players play in the am tourney? This is probably the most important question to answer ... I see that CEVO admins are answering most questions but this one seems to be SKIPPED every single time, I am sorry I am not gonna read 10 pages of just blah to find out so if someone sees it then post it for me again please. But i read 1-6ish and saw nothing just kept seeing the question with no answer. So can a CEVO admin bring some attention to this?

Pro players will be allowed to play in the am part of the tourney. The invited players selected to play in the professional division will not be allowed.

Na accounts are required due to the combining of groups. You may be able to complete the regional group play by only playing in EU.

We do our best to answer questions here but we officially provide support here

So then my question would be how is this an Am tourney if pro players that just dont want to play vs other pros for example and just win the smaller prize? I dont want to come off like a dick I know this isnt your doing I am just curious how Nvidia thinks thats ok ? We should call the tourney Invited PRO / PRO tourney wouldn't it be? I understand it gives an AM a chance to come up through the ranks but in a bo3 or bo5 ideally that pro is going to win.

Well the answer is how do you define pro. In this case, I believe nvidia is using it more in the terms of invited vs open. We have also seen in the past events that just cause they are "pro" does not mean that they win. The event is giving the opportunity for players to participate in an tournament that is not just a single elimination. It allows players to compete in several matches without concern about being knocked out. With all open tourneys, we expect an assortment of skilled players in each group. We do also expect walkovers. This is the first of many events in which we hope to continue to add countries and divisions.

No Australia makes me a sad panda

Aside from that the tournament looks good; great prize, great sponsor. I also like the casting duo, although I feel as though they still need to get used to eachother during a cast

If i may ask, why have you not includded many european countries like Italy and Sweden among those eligible?

I'm a little confused about something. It says that there is going to be 250 groups in the amateur tournament and only 2 players from each group advance. That means there is going to be 500 players for the second phase of the tournament. Then it says the second phase will have 32 groups of 8 players each. That's only 256 players. why is that?

Those were just rough estimates, final number of groups for each stage will be posted when registration is over.

In most cases, not true. On top of that, there IS naturally a limit to how much time and work a tournament organizer can allow him to put into getting a country eligible to enter the tourney.

Again and again we see countries being terrible at communicating these (pretty small) legal subjects, but with the big internetz, a lot of people are experiencing more and more inconveniences because of different laws in different countries. Great examples are sites like Hulu that actually wants to let people all over the world stream their TV-shows, but the EU having some weird rules and laws that in the end doesn't allow people in Europe to access their content.

In the SC2 scene we're seeing these strange complicated procedures and laws interfering with things like players entering tournaments. To me it makes no sense. For example, how is MorroW entering an international SC2-tournament going to hurt Sweden as a country. It's absolutely laughable.

I see it as plain bureaucracy that just needs to be fixed.

Sorry for a potential hi-jack, not trying to OT anything here.
Lets have some nice fun with Starcraft 2. Yay!
