My suggestion to you is, play and enjoy you will get better with time and refinement. Tournaments are meant to bring the community together and have fun. If you miss out on that crucial point than you aren't playing the game properly.

So join up! And play this tournament as best as you can! And have fun!

My friend, I am in gold league and I signed up. I have no plans to win, I expect entirely to get rolled. But whatever! Its fun! If you do bad, you do bad. no ones gonna give you shit for it, and if you unexpectedly do good, its a bonus :D

1. Eligibility. The Tournament is open all individuals in the following countries that are 16 years of age or older as of June 2, 2011, and who properly register for the Tournament (each a "Player"): Canada (excluding residents residing in the Province of Quebec), China (excluding Hong Kong), Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, India, Netherlands, Norway, Taiwan, United Kingdom, and the United States. Each Player may be required to show proof of age and residence. ALL PLAYERS MUST OWN A BLIZZARD NORTH AMERICAN ACCOUNT. IF YOU DO NOT SATISFY THESE REQUIREMENTS, YOU ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO REGISTER AND/OR PARTICIPATE IN THE TOURNAMENT. Participation in the Tournament is also subject to compliance with the requirements specified below and in the Game Play Rules. Employees of Sponsors and their immediate families (parent, child, sibling and the spouses of each) are not eligible to register for the Tournament. The Tournament is void where prohibited by applicable law.

- That means there are a lot of countries who can't play @_@""

Indeed... Korea, Sweden, Ukraine are what immediately comes into my mind.
Also not sure what to think to yet see another invitational instead of an open tournament.

That quote of countries has already been changed. Both South Korea and Sweden have been added to the list in the official rules.

Still no Russia, Ukraine, Quebec and Poland: No DIMAGA, Kas, Strelok, BRAT_OK, Mana, Diestar, Kiwikaki and Tarson - that's unfortunate

The Polish players could move to Germany for a short time, as only the residence matters and not the citizenship

But since he's living in the Florida (?) Root house, wouldn't he be able to join?

Im suprised noone asked this yet, maybe im too dumb to undrstand lol. Could anyone clarify the playing schedule for amateurs? It says it has 3 regional time zones so I guess 3 different playing schedules. Say that I prefer US playing schedules as a EU citizen, should I register for American time? I guess this would most likely mean I play against americans? Sounds kinda weird since I suppose they dont mean to seperate players by region right? If it is like this then finals gonna be best of Time zone X vs best of time zone Y and what time they supposed to play o_O

If you register for the American conference you will be put into a group with other people who did the same so you will most likely be playing vs NA players for the whole event. The first stage of the event will be split by region so its easier to play time wise, but towards the end of the event this is still primarily a NA event and those stages will most likely be scheduled based on NA time zones.

If you prefer to play at the American time zone then put yourself there. The default time of each region will be enforced if players can not agree to a time.

I signed up for amature, and while i dont expect to go very far i have to ask, If we are busy when our match is and dont show is it an auto lose? and what happens if your opponent is a no-sho? does it count as a win for you?

I expect lots of people who dont show up by the way.

I'm still confused about the format. What is the difference between the pro and amature divisions? I'm guessing that the invites are not going to fill up many of those first round 16 player groups.

Are the listed rounds only for the amature division?

If both players fail to check in at the default match time, a double forfeit will be issued.

Woot gona get rolled super fast but I just don't care I'm sure the other guy will have as great as time as I will have.

Downloaded the newest driver for my card. I'm really glad I now have a graphics card company I can buy to support esports. I've always loved my nvidia 560 and they donated a 590 to all the FIRST robotics teams and that was really really cool. I will for this even be buying another 560 and sli them up. fuck knows I'll get crushed but I'll practice my ass for it all anyway.

I dont really agree with this "pro am" type thing, not much separates the two groups imo, and where do you draw the distinction. For example in the cpmplexity tournament, qxc and optikzero played in the amateur tournament, but they both play on professional salaries... If youre basimg it on skill, that see,s very subjective... Otherwise event looks great

they get paid to play even if they lose = pro

entering the amateur tourney is what you call being a dick, complexity shouldnt of let them

Ok that makes things easier. Guess no Sweden allowed. Don't have to ruin my entire summer.

Sweden just added to the list ^^

please dont tell me you're adding the countries of europe as people remind you that they exist ;/
