The other two shows that take calls, Weapon of Choice and Live On Three, generally have about 10-20 callers trying to reach the phone during the Open Phone segments. Inside the Game has approximately 70-100 callers trying to reach the show. My select is completely random. The only "pattern" I tend to follow is to try to swap back and forth between a SKYPE caller and a PHONE caller. It's actually EASIER and BETTER for us to take the phone callers, because there's a smaller chance that they will actually have problems (like when people call via skype but then listen to us via the stream). However, I try to give everyone equal footing. It's not much different than a radio show where your chances of getting on are fairly slim. Which is also why we encourage people to mail in things as well. Hope that at least helps understanding the volume of callers we're dealing with. Out of about 300 callers who tried to get through last night, we only answered about 6 or 7 calls total. ^_^ Clearly helps your chances to have a name like Goatlust though, right? =p Yeah, I understand. @TOPIC/QUESTION: I have a question for iNcontroL, if it'd be possible to address it in the next show, if not, I completely understand, and I apologize for wasting your time. I've been doing a good amount of analysis in my 'copious' spare time on the warp gate mechanic, and have come to the conclusion that it is being extremely underused in it's effectiveness. People are using warp gates in 3 ways currently: timing based attacks with a large influx of units due to the front loaded nature of the production (4 gate/6 gate attacks), shortening reinforcement distances, and quick replenishment when maxxed and banking resources. However, because people focus so much on making use of robotics units, it is impossible to take advantage of the real power of the warp gate mechanic in the mid-late game. I've been experimenting with the warp prism speed buff and getting 2-3 warp prisms at the same time, flying around doing archon/DT drops and warping in DTs and zealots/sentries in multiple locations at the same time as harassment to essentially fill the role of phoenix for a pin without having to spend that amount of gas (the gas goes into upgrades and research and high templar/archons instead) and has a lot more power behind the harass, while having less weakness. You are also less open to large timings while you are weak after opening phoenix, and fast warp prisms are actually quite difficult to pin down (they're about as durable as a phoenix is), and are cheap to remake if you lose one. It also avoids the mobility issue of robotics units and being forced to keep your army balled up. So far, I've found that I'm winning almost all of my PvT's and PvZ's using this method, relying entirely on only gateway units, observers and warp prisms with speed. Does iNcontroL think this style of play is sustainable at the pro-level of play, and that it's not being utilized simply because robo units are easy to use, or is it working for me only because it's below the pro level or that nobody expects it. In other words: how does iNcontroL feel about heavy warp prism play (2-3 at a time with only gateway units, no robo or stargate units other than the warp prism).

Yes, I have taught him for 2 hours in the past, but this was over a month ago. After hearing how the conversation progressed, I contacted Stan and he apologized for making it sound as if I was to blame for his staggered growth. Having said that, I just wish to express that I do know what I am doing in my teaching, and there are various students who can attest to the results I have helped them achieve. As for Stan, he just lacks the correct attitude and discipline in his practice sessions. A good analogy would be a Musician. Although the pianist practices 5-8 hours a day, it is how he practices that will decide if he will be a virtuoso or not. I wish him the best

I wish him the best What is the correct attitude and discipline that he's lacking? Is he just laddering and not focusing on specific matchups with a specific practice partner? Is it like what he said, he doesn't analyze replays? I only ask because I play about 1-2 hours a day and I'm not really improving either. Obviously I don't play 5-8... but... just wondering if maybe Stan and I have the same problem.

If anything titan is probably to thank for the little improvements I have made, and having known him and seeing him play, and seeing idra play in tournaments are the reasons I even switched over to zerg when I did, and a big reason of why I keep being inspired to keep playing zerg and hoping to someday get good enough to play on their level. Also I like how after the call djwheat made fun of me "jeeze 5-8 hours a day? if i had that kind of time i tell you what" lol :D anyway <3 titan and idra sorry I'm just awful at the game and apparently awful at talking and phrasing questions.

This was previously not the case (it would only happen when you were on DND). So I need to go back in and verify the settings. In an effort to give people more time to MUTE the stream as well, we'll be picking up calls and then giving them a moment to adjust/mute the stream accordingly. I think I'll be making a little video about this so people have reference. One thing I would mention, is that these problems seem to go bye-bye when you just use your phone to call in. But I realize that's a bit more difficult to get through than just sitting and letting your Skype auto-ring. I do typically bounce back and forth between Skype callers and Phone Numbers (I can tell on my side which is which). BTW, this is what it looks like when 300 people are calling you on skype at once :D After about 30 or so calls, skype starts stacking them on top of one another, so I had to constantly be moving them out of the way haha http://yfrog.com/h3fwbsfj Thank you so much for the info, djWHEAT! <3 Much appreciated.

Since I know that you are being pummeled by callers during the show, and I know that you have taken a question from these forums before, I would like to voice my question here: This question is designated fro all 3 professional gamers on the show. Do you feel as though the Contaminate ability will become a major part of the Zerg endgame? I know that this ability is used sporadically by some players; however, I feel as though this ability has enormous potential for players who have the APM available to tab into it. Thank you.
