(With all the other TLFE response blogs popping up, I was surprised that a) this wasn't one and b) you didn't go with titling it "T. S. Elephant" just to fit in. )

Some parts of The Wasteland are far too depressing to be quoted. The initial lines, however, are gorgeous. "April is the cruelest month, breeding Lilacs out of the dead land, mixing Memory and desire, stirring Dull roots with spring rain."

I was just suggesting that for others. Granted, TLSoJAP is far too long to completely memorize, but those first lines were all me (though, admittedly, I did have my Eliot book nearby for reference). Other lines I was going to quote (from memory) were. "Do I dare to eat a peach?" and I thought this one would be good, especially if I started losing: I grow old, I grow old, I will wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.

I think I just found an awesome one to say to your teammates if you're losing a team game. The final three lines of TLSoJAP: We have lingered in the chambers of the sea By sea-girls wreathed with seaweed red and brown Till human voices wake us, and we drown.
