Waiting for the Approval process and some other issues (regarding the old RSS feed that worked off djWHEAT.tv). This is a major priority for us since many of you are hoping to catch the show via MP3. We just ask that everyone is patient while we get this setup as it can be a pain in the ass! nice to see you're working on providing the mp3, but I'd like to know if you plan to release it somewhere other than iTunes...? There is nothing in the world that will force me to use this program and I'd really like to get the mp3 without having to download a 1GB video file and rip it myself... =/ maybe something along the lines of what they do on SotG using blip.tv? the download suck pretty bad, but at least it works. thanks!

A few others reported this as well. I believe the newest version of skype automatically shows someone as OFFLINE if you are not a contact on their list. This was previously not the case (it would only happen when you were on DND). So I need to go back in and verify the settings. In an effort to give people more time to MUTE the stream as well, we'll be picking up calls and then giving them a moment to adjust/mute the stream accordingly. I think I'll be making a little video about this so people have reference. One thing I would mention, is that these problems seem to go bye-bye when you just use your phone to call in. But I realize that's a bit more difficult to get through than just sitting and letting your Skype auto-ring. I do typically bounce back and forth between Skype callers and Phone Numbers (I can tell on my side which is which). BTW, this is what it looks like when 300 people are calling you on skype at once :D After about 30 or so calls, skype starts stacking them on top of one another, so I had to constantly be moving them out of the way haha http://yfrog.com/h3fwbsfj

The MP3's for my shows have always been available as MP3's outside of iTunes. The RSS feed that points to iTunes will always have a MP3 download link. So once we have the RSS setup and working, then it shouldn't be a problem for you. As I've stated in other threads, this is a top priority for us (for all shows except for Kings of Tin [which will have no mp3 form])

It's one thing to try to get people to fix their problems, but there's no need to ridicule your callers on a show that's about caller interaction. Yes there is. People who call into NPR are trained... cause they listen to NPR. The StarCraft community needs this training. It's not rocket science. I'm going to be the one that teaches everyone how to properly call into an interactive call-in show... and you will be the one who thanks me for ridiculing them when everyone calls with PHONE PERFECTION in 3 weeks. In fact, why don't we give another lesson right here (I'll add this to the video I'm going to make). There is a Skype Account called "Skype Test Call" - This uppity chick answers and says, "Yo, talk to me, I'll record it and play it back to you... if you hear yourself, congrats, you're smart enough to figure out how to use a microphone with windows, if not, fix your shit". I urge everyone, prior to calling or before the show, to ring this test account, make sure you work, and then call. This way we eliminate any problems for Bob who almost called with his MIC Muted. Additionally, if you're going to call, you need to be watching your skype. If you are one of the lucky people who got through, you should mute your stream. Remember, I may be an asshole when this stuff happens, but it disrupts the show, which means it's the audience who suffers.
