The last tournament hosted there was an enormous success, and we had an absolute blast. I really hope to see an even bigger turnout for this one.

Disappointing its only 32 people. I'm pretty sure some of us from TN could attend as its not too far from us.
|
Dere, the reason it's 32 people is because there are just enough computers to get the tournament done in a reasonable amount of time. The last tournament we had didn't finish up until around 9pm.
As for the Tennessee players, you're more than welcome to come. If we had a group larger than 32 players, I'm sure we can make some changes on the fly to accommodate everyone... the 32 players is more of an estimate than a hard cap.

I've been doing some work on organizing and mobilizing the TN SC2 community and I think that Birmingham is close enough for several folks to attend. I'll ask around and see what kind of response I get. Maybe a truck load of us will arrive
|
Whoa, thanks Moody, this is awesome. I'm going to have to see if my schedule permits, but I hope to be able to make it.
Question: How old, generally, are the gamers that play in these GameBox Tournaments? I just don't want to be the only 28-year-old there if everyone else is in high school or something.
|
I'd say the average age is probably going to be around 20 or so... Most of the people that hang out in Team UnReal are 20-24.
|
Ok cool. I'll try to let you know soon whether I'm gonna be able to make it.

Talked to the owner last night, he basically said that they'll accommodate as many as show up.
Really hoping for a good turn out, the last one was so much fun.

I'll be there and I'm 30 and I would probably still play if I was 45. Don't let that stop you... And my uncle and cousin might come, too. My uncle would probably just watch but he's like 50 and loves sc2.
|
Goodness. I would love to go. But I will be back home from college on that day.
|
GuYuTe- Glad to hear you're going to make it. That's awesome.
MrMotionPicture - Where is home? Birmingham isn't far from like... anywhere in Alabama. There's a big group of people coming up from Prattville for it, so you might could meet up with them if you're coming from Mobile area.
