GreatFall: Hey look it's Fodder. I tried to practice with you and even invited you to our group so you can watch a 1v1 between me and a friend, but you ended up suddenly leaving my game early game vs. my friend w/o saying anything because 'it was over' when I got queens. I dunno. I mean I tried to hang out and practice with you but you seemed very uninterested and a bit cocky. You even kinda cussed me out because I was 'spamming' APM. What good player doesn't? You then began to give my friend 'pointers' on how to play, that's fine, but your tone was very condescending and a little overly critical. You basically called him a complete nub. He was in silver league and just trying to improve his game, I don't think he deserved for you to leave our game and tell him you left because he basically 'sucks'. If you want to make friends in SC first of all you need to be nicer to people secondly, you need to understand that not everyone who you encounter will be your exact skill level or higher. Additionally, I asked if you would like to play and the answer was 'no'. If anything you should have at least tried to play me because I'm in the same league as you and a random player! Who is a better practice partner than a random player in your league? I could choose whatever race you need to practice against! But no, you simply blew me off LOL. I'm just mentioning this because you are here advertising for a practice partner but you totally blew me off when I wanted to play games with you and when you obsed that game w/ me and my friend. You may want to be more manner if you want to find practice partners. IMO. I'm sorry. I did not mean to offend you or your friend by leaving 'early'. Didn't mean for him to take it personally but I usually stop watching games as soon as they are lost because anything past that point runs the risk of fake-learning occuring as Day9 would put it. Also I highly doubt I blew you off. I don't recall our conversation but if I said no to the offer of playing it was probably because i was in YABOT trying to figure something out at the time of you PM'ing me or busy with a real life constraint. nekuodah: I guess you should play whatever you find more fun as you are likely to play better if you enjoy it ^^. As for learning terran basics perhaps tune into a few terran streams and take notes or download some replay packs and pick a build and learn it, as for hotkeys play a few games vs ai and just find something your comfy with. When i switched races i done the above and now im more comfortable with my new race than i was with terran. Alright man will do. I'll just mess around with my hotkeys then and check out some Terran streams today! Endymion: Judging from your post and your signature it really feels like you need a dose of independence, you need to decide what race you want to play alone, other wise you'll just change based on whose grass is greener any given day. Every race has their ups and downs, you just need to learn to love your race for its flaws and its supremacies. While writing this post you could have played some custom games as both races and got closer to picking, but instead you decided to post asking for guidance. Do some serious thinking about it, and you'll know what to do. Also, funner isn't a word. Well I am the type of person who needs confirmation and certainty with what they practice. If I have reassured that what I am doing is correct then there isn't a hint of a doubt in any part of my play and I play well. If I am told what needs to be done I do it near perfectly. But without a form of guidance things get hazy and strange. Winging things isn't my cup of expertise. And I have done serious thinking. Terran seems like the more exciting and creative race. And thats kind of what I want in the race I play. But I've already got so set on Protoss I thought the switch would be detrimental (especially considering people say hotkey setups should vary drastically from Protoss to Terran). I mean since the start of the game the hellion has always been my favourite unit even though I had never even really played Terran. Though, I do understand that eventually I'll need to settle on a race and embrace its flaws and weaknesses.

There's no harm in race switching, as long as you dont mind losing a bit while you learn. T is the most "creative" and "fun" race because you can do whatever the fuck you want and still win due to every unit being amazing. gl hf =)

Depends on the matchup. I think overpowered is a bit of an overstatement. But I think Terran is incredibly more forgiving than the other races, and stim is ridiculous. I think tvz is hard to split marines, but other than that. T has a relatively easy time. I used to play T in beta, and it was easy then, and it's still easy. The hardest thing about T is being able to spend your money because every unit is so cheap and good.

But you also have to admit that if you play solid, P is going to reward you the most. It has a small set of strats that if you do well, it's really really hard to stop.

This is both good and bad though. Because P is pidgeon hole'd into a small handful of strats, it gets easy to read them at higher levels. And while the strats/comps may be strong. Once you figure out how to counter each one and can read them, It makes it difficult for P players to try and throw off opponents. I think this is why T is so strong is because, once that bunker goes down, you have no idea what they are doing. And while you can scout eventually, sometimes it's just too late.

I find protoss to be a lot more ability and trait drivin race while T I think is has a lot better stat's on their units.

The problem comes when there is no hard counter for what Toss is doing. and there is a blind spot for a bit when that bunker goes down. Then you get the obs in and see everything, unless T invested into 4-5 turrets to cover every inch, and on the other hand it's not really that hard for Protoss to hide tech buildings all over. 90% of the time when you scan, you see gateways.

Unless I'm mistaken, morrow switched when IdrA told him Terran is op/faceroll.
