K, with 1.3 out I tried the new infestors on protoss with a friend. Unfortunately I don't have much free time on my hands so this isn't a thorough analysis by any means, or anything remotely close to it. I didn't test all toss units and I might get around to it cause I'd love to see how much they do vs phoenix and void rays. Anyway, I tried it out on the stalker, immortal, and colossus.
Here is 1 fungal growth against a stalker. 2nd fungal did damage to HP.
Here's one fungal vs a collosus.Took 3 to get all the shields down (well, get them to like 6 so close enough) and 7 or 8 to kill
This is 4 fungals on a collosus (yay for random numbers)
Lastly, immortal. Takes two fungals to get all the immortal's shields down, 6 to get it to really really low hp, 7 for the kill.
So yea, all in all pretty good :D. Fungal is really good vs stalkers now with crazy DPS after the duration reduction. It's also decent vs collosus and really good vs immortals. Looks to have a ton of potential vs blink stalker builds. I'm also wondering how good infestors are in the lategame when used with brood lords vs P. For one protoss needs to get blink stalkers to kill it. Also the presence of broodlings would make infestors with their low HP live longer and be slightly harder to snipe because they assume priority over the infestor. Looks pretty cool, can't wait to actually try them in game lol. I might even change my signature
Like I said, this thread isn't a high quality analysis by any means. I'm putting it on blogs cause it doesn't possess the quality or effort that you'd need for the sc2 section.
Enjoy

Anyways, neat to see these pictures. Because it takes 2 fungals to kill an Immortal's shields, it seems that Infestors may be a perfect complement to a mass Roach strat against a Protoss massing immortals.
I think the damage vs stalkers is going to be a much bigger deal, however. I would really like to see more pics of stalker damage as opposed to the one in OP. Since Fungals stop Blink, it would be interesting to see how many Fungals it would take to nuke a Stalker ball.

At first I was a little bummed, but then I remembered that the damage will only take 4 seconds instead of 8. Woot.

Don't forget the 4 seconds means medivacs won't have the full 8 seconds to heal like they used to, so more DPS against bio too.

how does this work out against marauders/tanks? It seems those two are a huge problem for the zerg roach/infestor build

Not only the Medivacs wont be able to heal as fast as the damage occurs, but also, since it wears off faster, if they try to run, the medivacs will stop healing to chase them.

I anticipate late game infestor drops to be popular very soon with the larger maps. Infestors take 2 fungals to kill probes, but since the duration is reduced and probes can't run away from certain death, fungal drops may be the new storm drops. Larger maps mean it's harder to have forces to defend all the expos, toss can't feedback overlords like they can to medivacs to insta deny the drop, and zerg can really just cast 1 fungal, wait a second or 2 then cast a second fungal as the 4 second timer will be refreshed (damage won't stack, obviously). I think this patch will completely change how late game PvZ is played and I'm kinda excited to see how it pans out.

It took 4 fungals to get a stalker down to really low hp (less than 30 if I remember correctly). 5th One killed it. Infestor ling should hard counter pure stalkers pretty hard now if u can make it there
