SarenS is getting 2nd gas rather quickly as well. He ends up going for a double fact build into expo. He´s keeping harass up with a few reapers but overal letting BiGs macro up safely knowing that BiGs needs the drone count before he can reasonably expand to a third anyway. Helions are sent in after the natural and the drones are forced to evac. BiGs uses double queen at the ramp to deny the helions access to the main. SarenS is looking good but BiGs has to have some unscouted tech or a hidden base by now. SarenS spots mutas flying to his main, but he already got 2 thors out. A third comes out before the mutas get there and they´re denied any damage. BiGs seems to definitely be behind now but I´m assuming he has a baneling nest too. BiGs tries to expand to the raised expo but SarenS spots it going up. He expands as well planning on staying even in bases. SarenS is marching across the map clearing creep tumors. Roaches come out but SarenS has the much bigger army. Then finally the banes stream in a little too late. Even on creep they can´t get in well. Now the mutas come out again trying to counter as SarenS tries to secure his 3rd CC placing it at the gold. They´re dealt with handily and SarenS sets up a contain at the xel tower on BiGs side of the map. Banes run in killing off a lot, but thor/marauder with a few helions is left standing forcing BiGs to gg. | ||

I find Song on 2 base focussing on helions which are getting shot down by DaBoo´s ling control. DaBoo excels at optimally utilizing easily massed units over high tech. DaBoo neglects to contaminate the factory as he scouts with an overseer. The overseer gets killed off by marines soon after. As I put a Virus manager in my spot so I can move back to DaBoo´s side. Song is getting greedy and tries to take a third too early in my opinion. DaBoo punishes it with mutas, killing a lot of scv´s. There is a thor out but it can´t defend all three bases. Finally turrets go up at the third and the mutas are forced to retreat. DaBoo goes back to ling baneling play, still saving a good number of his mutas. Song comes out with a tank marine thor push but the tanks aren´t sieged in time! A swarm of muta ling bling rushes in and cleans it up easily. Though the army count is definitely in DaBoo´s favor, I suspect Song has a considerably better eco as DaBoo neglects to expand on his advantage. Instead he uses his mutas and trades banelings for the third base of Song. That´s a huge blow to Song´s eco. Song is forced to move out now before he gets outmassed. They trade armies but Song just comes out on top buying him time as DaBoo remacros. DaBoo really needs to keep his creepspread up at this stage of the game. There´s nothing but thors left for Song after yet another army trade. Lings are about to take them down but just in time a pack of helions comes in. Song has retaken his 3rd while DaBoo clears the rocks for his high yield. If he secures that it should equal PowerOverwhelming. DaBoo adds in roaches to deal with the mech because there´s hardly any bio. He cashes them in for some thor kills forcing a retreat from Song. 2 thors and a tank are too slow to get out and roaches trap them. DaBoo double expos to gold and his fourth. As... MoMaN comes give me a massage. | ||

Helions come by at the fourth but DaBoo keeps his drones alive by microing them along the spines very well. He then counterattacks Song with a huge flock of mutas. He kills off the turret at the third and chases the scv´s out. DaBoo seems to think he can win here and sends the mutas after the natural. He kills a thor but a second one appears, so DaBoo kills off the PF at the third instead. A small mech force comes out from Song, he has to be getting mined out soon. The mech forces just manages to take DaBoo´s gold. Song is almost mined out and is expanding to a fourth with his third still in pieces. DaBoo scouts it well, kills it off and forces a GG to move on in the tournament! | ||

Broodlords are out, it's so rare for DaBoo to go with those, but it's working, Aures is on the back foot and is forced to lift off 2 CC's now. DaBoo seems to be toying with him some, I hope he doesn't give is away. Vikings clear out the broods and try to land at 5th after the rocks were taken down there. DaBoo defends with lings. AureS is forced to gg out and DaBoo goes up 1-0. | ||

DaBoo getting his second gas and gas at the natural. The helions still out there force a weak contain. 20ish lings come out and they trap the helions, giving DaBoo mapcontrol. He finds a bunker by AureS at the natural and is forced to shy away and take a third. A big marine tank push from AureS comes out. Ling bane kill off most the marines but there's still the tanks and a few marines. DaBoo is forced to pull drones, but marine reinforcements come in just at that time and DaBoo has to GG out of the tournament. marine reinforcements come in, daboo ggs out | ||

The millenium guys just now wandered in and look like they walked a thousand miles through a blizzard (get it, sc2 pun). Elfi just sat down as well. Looks like we won't start any time soon. I'm hearing we need to be done by 2 though, which I don't see happening at this rate, but we'll see! | ||

Game 2 on terminus, Elfi spawning at the 4, he finds DieStar qui ck at the 7. Elfi opens 10 gate and sends a stalker to DieStars ramp but he can't get up. Based on the marine count at the ramp he goes robo, I expected a korean 4gate really. Another gateway gets added as well as collo tech. Elfi then scouts the starport with techlab, looking like a quick raven build to get that PDD out and destroy any heavy gateway play, so good read by elfi. Elfi opts to expand off the 2 gate robo, little greedy. Naama says that T will push out any moment now and exactly 8 seconds later DieStar's army marches down his ramp. It's a good mixture of viking/tank/bio. Elfi added another gate after the expo and is building a 4th, but he really doesn't have the armycount to defend against this with 2 collo/3stalkers and a small amount of zealot/sentry. He sacks the expo right away and tries to pick a fight at his ramp. Good forcefield at the ramp, but tanks are sieged up right below it. The vikings are doing a ton of damage to the collosus and as Elfi loses them, he gg's out to DieStars 1base all-in. 1-1 | ||
