Well I don't really use blogs, ever, regardless, maxlan is going on and I've already seen players like Adel, MoMaN and of course daboo from LLL, I figured someone should report something!
As of right now everyone is still in the process of setting up. The teams are using this as an opportunity to get their required video content over and done with already it seems. Origin, Millenium and LLL are all swinging cameras around. Have you ever noticed this at an esports event? Especially for teams that don't have people coming to them but that have to reach out, events like this become all about getting the most screen time possible.
All in all the event is set up quite nice. I'm using a laptop just casually set up between the players. that's not a luxury you have at most events where every inch of table is guarded and fought over. Who knows how it'll be when things start getting really busy though. The event is easy to reach by bus (1 euro per trip is quite acceptable). The food is overpriced, like every lan event ever held (not true, I remember $1 pizzas as one of the only upsides to CPL events). But of course most importantly, the players look ready to duke it out.
Most of all, who I HAVEN'T seen yet is any of the Virus guys. They may be hiding somewhere but it's kind of hard to miss naama though elfi does have a habbit of sneaking up on you.
For people that have never been to a lan event. It's important to keep in mind that there's two different timezones in play. There's RT (Real Time) and ET (Esports Time). Esports Time is fluid and running somewhere between 5 minutes and 2 days behind on Real Time. Therefor, we're not already an hour and a half behind on schedule (nothing has started yet). No, we're running on Esports Time!

The official word is that we're not going to start until 2pm so people can get lunch. Thankfully the internet seems to be much better (except for press, if anyone asks I'm supposed to be hooked up to the router the players at this table are using).

I offered to stream the event a week ago, but their stance was "our sponsors are french, so we only need french stream". Which is why I'm here posting this instead of getting ready to cast, honestly it works out for me. I get to hang out with the pro's and

Naama came say hi and asked if I knew his opponent because he can't find him. We figured out he was to play "Silent" but we have no idea who that is. Hah.

Maps for Naama vs Silent will be testbug, shattered and they start on scrap Tv..*looks across 5 tables* Z.

Naama opens banshee no cloak and threatens with helions, roaches deny his helions access.
Elfi is 4 gating again, this time on shattered, close air positions, zealot stalker is going to easily win it for a quick 2-0.
Silent has 1 spore crawler in both mineral lines, Naama goes cloak regardless and abuses the range of the spore crawlers with his banshees and expands while his banshees pick at the queens.

Naama adds 2 rax and goes for his third using his advantage from the banshees. Adds 2 factories on 3 base vs the 2 base zerg. Marines deal with the muta harass and Naama counters with a marine drop on Silents natural.
Silent still on 2 base, Naama scans gold to make sure. Marine medivac siege tanks make up the army, as thors are added in to deal with mutas. Silent now tries to take his third, Naama drops the main pulling Silents army back. Naama moves in to deny the third, but that triggers a big army trade at the Xel Tower. Silent comes out on top and tries to double to the gold. Naama still has the eco advantage and remacros too quickly for silent, the gold gets denied right away and he moves in on the third. Silent can't be mining off his main anymore and his 2nd must be extremely low if not depleted. Naama moves in and GG by Silent, 1-0

DaBoo convincingly 2-0'd his first opponent. He'll have to face Adel later on in his group.

Missed the openings but Silent Z11 and Naama T3 on testbug. Silent is on 2 base with 2 spines at his nat. Naama is going banshees though and a banshee reaches the natural doing huge damage. Silent has hardly anything out, he's hiding army. He tries a massive bane bust but Naama depends properly and forces a quick gg. Naama 2-0 Silent.

Tarson playing wellan, T6vZ9 on shattered. Tarson opening double rax at the top of his ramp and gets a lot of marines out. He moves out and takes the xelnaga. He scouts with one marine and finds wellan at the 9. There's still no natural up for Wellan.. Tarson pulls his marines back instantly and gets up the ramp in time to defend against 10-12 lings.
Tarson adds a starport, expos and we finally see the first addon. Techlab on the fact, I'm assuming to get banshees when starport is done. But no, medivac coming out of the starport with the techlab and he moves the fact down to choke off his natural some. Still a lot of marines coming out, he drops with 1 medivac and finds lair is up and the natural. Wellan has banes out and mutas are about to pop I believe. Tarson pulls back with a few hurt marines left. He regroups his marines and drops with 16 marines and 3 medivacs. Banelings going after the marine, he's splitting them well but he's on creep and still loses a lot. Mutas clean up.
Tarson goes for a 3rd and adds 2 more rax finally. He takes the techlab with his factory instead and moves his 3rd CC to the psuedo island. He's letting Z macro up a lot.. Finally scans the gold, but that's not taken. Mutas go after his psuedo island but the rocks go down just in time and marines stream in. Mutas flank to go for his natural instead forcing a second stim but they are forced out.
Tarson scouts the 12 and finds creep at the 12 natural before getting killed. I'm assuming Z is on 4 base now. Haha, I know THAT word, Tarson is cursing in Polish and sends his marine/medivac army out going straight for the 9'o clock natural. Wellan expanded too greedily and doesn't have enough army out to defend as Tarson destroys his army. A second wave of lings comes out, but Tarson takes next to no losses and forces a GG.

Game 2 was played on Shakuras and happened while I was copying all this from my cell. Quick win for Tarson so he 2-0'd wellan (unless I missed a game before shattered). LLLDaBoo takes his second 2-0 win, so he's at 2 wins in his group with Adel left to face.
Top 2 players in each group go through so they're both extremely likely to advance.
My maxlan-neighbor Shinigami just 2-0'd his ZvZ opponent ShAyErS in a 10 minute game on scrap and a 17 minute game on metal close air. He slammed his fist on the table so hard I thought he was pissed. I looked at his screen and saw his opponent GG. Maybe I need to get one of the female cs team members to give him a massage or something to unwind.
Sarens is manhandling BiGuP from what it looks like. Adel vs LLLDaBoo is about to start on stage.

Naama 2-0'd his second opponent. efli just now beat his teammate ShiBa, giving elfi his second 2-0 as well.
Someone please let me know if they're streaming Adel vs LLLDaBoo somewhere so I can just go watch. Otherwise I can see the back of the stage screen from here, it's just behind me and I'll just live report it.. If I however get left/right confused forgive me ;p I have a pretty great view, it's just.. mirrored.
There's going to be some delay before the main stage is ready.

Shinigami Z12 is playing BuN T6 on Shattered. It's a very important match for him seeming he has one win in his group and after this will have to face SarenS in which he'll be the clear underdog. He's on 2 base, BuN on 1, BuN tries a helion drop but great defensive with the lings, he stops them from doing any damage even only losing a few lings. Banshees are the follow up, but Shinigami has a third queen out and mutas will pop soon. Shinigami hwaaiittiinngg

He moves out with his mutas going after BuN's main, BuN meanwhile has expanded onto his natural. HUGE damage being done by the mutas. A lot of scv's die and he forces the scv's to be pulled to the natural. More damage is done there by the mutas before the marines finally come in. Shinigami wants to use this advantage and double expands to his gold and the 9o clock natural. A banshee spots it and BuN moves out with 2 tanks and a good amount of marines. Shinigami spots it though and destroys the army in the middle of the map. GG is called by BuN!

Game 2 Shinigami Z8 vs BuN T2 is on Xelnaga. Shinigami goes hatch first. Gets gas/pool and a roach warren. He gets a 4 pack of roaches out and shuts down the helions that come say hi. Still no zergling speed, but lair is coming up as well as an evo chamber.

He starts speed and then goes for +1 range. Lair is done put no lair tech added, He's expanding to the base below the gold at 5o clock and now is getting a spire. Attacking the rocks with his roaches.

He's added a spore crawler in his main mineral line and natural just before late banshees come out. BuN waited for 2 and is attacking the third with one and the natural with the other. The third takes a lot of hits and the few drones there evacuate (no transfer yet). Mutas pop out and clear up the banshees. Shinigami instantly counters with the mutas.

Shnigami kills off several scv's before being chased off by about 20ish marines and a medivac or 2. In base hatch with a baneling nest and a gold base expansion for Shinigami. He is trying to apply more pressure with mutas to force BuN's army back. But BuN lets a turret do the talking and moves out onto creep with his tank marine army. Banelings roll in and the 2 tanks are not enough to stop them, the marines dissapear and the mutas clean the tanks up.
Shinigami takes his time and prepares more banelings. He's going to carpet bomb the natural of BuN! The mutas go in first followed by a fleet of overlords filled with banes and roaches BOOM massive damage. BuN GGs and it looks like Shinigami is heading towards a second place in his group. It's a 5 player group though I was just informed, so he has one more opponent to face aside from SarenS.

Adel vs LLLDaBoo is going on right now. DaBoo likes banes against protoss a lot, he has a quirky ZvP style. You should be watching that on stream. Adel's up 1-0.

Welcome back TL. Meanwhile Adel 2-0'd DaBoo even though he looked way ahead in game 2.
Also, more epic tales of the death god ;p
Shinigami vs BiGs on scrap is turning into baneling wars. Both 1 base, but Shinigami is splitting his zerglings extremely well. He gets a bane into the mineral line but the drones aren't there,
he finds the drones behind the mineral line and they take a single hit.
Shinigami's attack is over and again he needs to defend as BiGs now sends in banes. Shinigami again showing textbook defense and splits his zerglings so well the banes are a loss mostly. Shinigami counters and runs his lings into the mineral line. BiGs defends well in the mineral line with a roughly equal amount of lings popping out and zerglings.
Shinigami is transitioning to roaches while BiGs expands. Both player get lair and shinigami expands as well, later than BiGs. BiGs has the advantage because of his earlier expo and got a lot of roaches out. Contaminate on Shinigamis natural as BiGs roaches push down BiGs's
side of the rocks.
Shinigami scouts a hydra den at BiGs natural and proceeds to ensure his overlords are save. He keeps his scouting overseer alive with only 10 health by flying it over the rocks at the natural of BiGs, but 10 seconds later, hydras show up to finish the joob. Again contaminate on the natural hatch of shinigami though he doesn't have the eco to support it anyway. Shinigami tries to run roaches through the middle then has to chase around the hydras of BiGs which are using his roaches as a shield. Heavy losses taken but Shinigami does run a lot of army out while massing roaches more. He gets a really good engagement as BiGs is trying to get his third, but roaches pop out just in time to defend and Shinigami is forced to GG against biGs in game 1
Shinigami is spamming so hard he's making the whole row of tables shake. Really need to ask those CS girls to help him out later. They spawned on Xel for game 2, Shinigami getting the bottom left.
Gas first opening by Shinigami. Quick speedling build. He's sending a few out than blocking the ramp with the others. Getting a baneling nest and scouts his opponent trying the same thing. biGs suicides a lot of lings at Shinigamis ramp but does not get in.
5 banes out now for Shinigami. He trades them at BiGs ramp who got a second queen and a spinecrawler to defend. Shinigami isn't letting up though. He tries to run lings up the ramp but nooooo 5 banelings destroy his 12ish lings.
Shinigami now on the back foot, banes just outside his base, 3 come in and he trades his banes for them. 5 more come in, taking out Shinigamis lings and now going for the mineral line. Shinigami loses half his drones and GGs out.
Shinigami now needs to beat Sarens 2-0 to have a chance to advance.

Shinigami is going to face off against SarenS on metal and he needs a clean 2-0 sweet to go through. Crosspositions! SarenS at T9, Shinigami at Z3. Jumping in with Shinigami on two base, with an evo and roach warren up. No lair but 1 sporecrawler in each mineral line. He spotted a helion and is moving out with roaches. SarenS is going mech, tank helion and has his second base up.
+1 range for Shinigami being upgraded but oh no helion drop in Shinigamis main and he needs to block with drones long enough for his helions to come in. They kill of a lot of drones before the roaches force them to be lifted off.
Again the helions drop but this time Shinigami chases them out the front without taking much damage and he takes his third. He's trying to stabilize, getting a spire to get mapcontrol and shut down dropplay.
Shinigami now stable on 3 base but the attack from SarenS will have to come soon. 6 tanks supported by bio healed by medivacs roll up on his third. Sieging at the bottom of Shinigamis ramp. Shinigami tries to run his banes in but no, the bio is pulled back and the tanks are now sieged. As he loses his army and Shinigami moves in, the death god has been slain. qq

Alright well, most the players have finished up their matches so it's becoming more and more tempting to mingle. Also, tsl3 ;p I'll post again tomorrow if all goes well.

Same style he lost a map to in groups. Warpprism drops on scrap may be Naama's kryptonite.

Naama set things straight convincingly on xel and then shattered was closer but still a solid win.
DaBoo just evened up ZvT 1-1 vs the heavy mech play of funkadelic.

DaBoo stuck with baneling speedling for ages even with banshees out and drops happening several times. He did a gas steal so he argued that he wanted incredibly long with mutas because of the amount of marines that he forced. I think he should've just popped out 3 mutas much earlier, but he won and in Esports that means you're right.

MoMaN has a huge crowd. Definitely the local hero. He's talking to himself while playing even.

Aahahahaha he just let out a primal roar as he won his game and about 6 of the people behind him jumped back scared. Only one person clapped after that xD

MoMaN stopped by to say hi seeming he's done for the day. He talked about beating SarenS and SarenS tilting. He started his next game almost right away and MoMaN says as a consequence SarenS is down 1-0 against BiGs who knocked out the death god earlier. Whomever wins will still have to play 1 more round after this. It's 11pm and you can tell stamina is starting to dwindle.

3rd map for SarenS vs BiGs is testbug. TvZ, both fighting for survival in the tournament. SarenS places his supply depot at the CC but rax at the brush. He lifts the rax to the other side of the brush and adds tech lab. It´s a reaper opening. SarenS tries to get a bunker down behind the mineral line of BiGs´ natural but the scv is killed off, forcing a cancel shortly after.
SarenS is getting 2nd gas rather quickly as well. He ends up going for a double fact build into expo. He´s keeping harass up with a few reapers but overal letting BiGs macro up safely knowing that BiGs needs the drone count before he can reasonably expand to a third anyway.
Helions are sent in after the natural and the drones are forced to evac. BiGs uses double queen at the ramp to deny the helions access to the main. SarenS is looking good but BiGs has to have some unscouted tech or a hidden base by now. SarenS spots mutas flying to his main, but he already got 2 thors out. A third comes out before the mutas get there and they´re denied any damage. BiGs seems to definitely be behind now but I´m assuming he has a baneling nest too.
BiGs tries to expand to the raised expo but SarenS spots it going up. He expands as well planning on staying even in bases. SarenS is marching across the map clearing creep tumors. Roaches come out but SarenS has the much bigger army. Then finally the banes stream in a little too late. Even on creep they can´t get in well.
Now the mutas come out again trying to counter as SarenS tries to secure his 3rd CC placing it at the gold. They´re dealt with handily and SarenS sets up a contain at the xel tower on BiGs side of the map. Banes run in killing off a lot, but thor/marauder with a few helions is left standing forcing BiGs to gg.

DaBoo tied his match up with great baneling control vs marine tank, leading to; Game 3 on testbug for DaBoo vs as Song. DaBoo goes early hatch first followed by a 14 pool. He finds that Song went for an early second supply depot to wall off before the drone scout. Because we can somewhat see Songs screen from here, I´m moving over there to block the view. For what it´s worth, seeming DaBoo is sitting down he really can´t see anything but just in case.
I find Song on 2 base focussing on helions which are getting shot down by DaBoo´s ling control. DaBoo excels at optimally utilizing easily massed units over high tech. DaBoo neglects to contaminate the factory as he scouts with an overseer. The overseer gets killed off by marines soon after. As I put a Virus manager in my spot so I can move back to DaBoo´s side.
Song is getting greedy and tries to take a third too early in my opinion. DaBoo punishes it with mutas, killing a lot of scv´s. There is a thor out but it can´t defend all three bases. Finally turrets go up at the third and the mutas are forced to retreat. DaBoo goes back to ling baneling play, still saving a good number of his mutas. Song comes out with a tank marine thor push but the tanks aren´t sieged in time! A swarm of muta ling bling rushes in and cleans it up easily.
Though the army count is definitely in DaBoo´s favor, I suspect Song has a considerably better eco as DaBoo neglects to expand on his advantage. Instead he uses his mutas and trades banelings for the third base of Song. That´s a huge blow to Song´s eco. Song is forced to move out now before he gets outmassed. They trade armies but Song just comes out on top buying him time as DaBoo remacros. DaBoo really needs to keep his creepspread up at this stage of the game.
There´s nothing but thors left for Song after yet another army trade. Lings are about to take them down but just in time a pack of helions comes in. Song has retaken his 3rd while DaBoo clears the rocks for his high yield. If he secures that it should equal PowerOverwhelming.
DaBoo adds in roaches to deal with the mech because there´s hardly any bio. He cashes them in for some thor kills forcing a retreat from Song. 2 thors and a tank are too slow to get out and roaches trap them. DaBoo double expos to gold and his fourth. As... MoMaN comes give me a massage.

Aaaahhh, anyway. Mutas catch some tanks sieged up at the Xel without defense. Song donating them to the queen of blades. DaBoo is having a hard time with the gold though.
Helions come by at the fourth but DaBoo keeps his drones alive by microing them along the spines very well. He then counterattacks Song with a huge flock of mutas. He kills off the turret at the third and chases the scv´s out. DaBoo seems to think he can win here and sends the mutas after the natural. He kills a thor but a second one appears, so DaBoo kills off the PF at the third instead.
A small mech force comes out from Song, he has to be getting mined out soon. The mech forces just manages to take DaBoo´s gold. Song is almost mined out and is expanding to a fourth with his third still in pieces. DaBoo scouts it well, kills it off and forces a GG to move on in the tournament!

DaBoo´s playing AureS right now. Pretty scrap, mech vs variations of ling bling roach muta. Roaches now killing off a lot of the thors and the natural is their playing ground. Helions running into DaBoo´s gold but he´s defending well. DaBoo is just taking his fourth now seeming he took gold as his third against 3 based T (with no natural). DaBoo is smirking as he kills off one army after the other. He looks like a psychopath, anyone want to switch hotel rooms with me tonight?
Broodlords are out, it's so rare for DaBoo to go with those, but it's working, Aures is on the back foot and is forced to lift off 2 CC's now. DaBoo seems to be toying with him some, I hope he doesn't give is away. Vikings clear out the broods and try to land at 5th after the rocks were taken down there. DaBoo defends with lings. AureS is forced to gg out and DaBoo goes up 1-0.

Game 2 ends extremely quickly. Quick helion opening by AureS, I think on Shattered, I was typing here still. DaBoo didn't manage to stop them at his ramp and GGd out quick to go to Testbug.

I didn't know maxlan has sc2. I thought it was css events only since maxlan name only come on css sites.

Hatch first opening by DaBoo at the top of the map. A single marine is blocking the ramp at the bottom which is a little suspicious. DaBoo answers with a double spinecrawler at his natural. Helions come in but they get denied by the spines. DaBoo runs a ling into AureS' base, bit of a slip up by him. His expand after reactor factory gets spotted.
DaBoo getting his second gas and gas at the natural. The helions still out there force a weak contain. 20ish lings come out and they trap the helions, giving DaBoo mapcontrol. He finds a bunker by AureS at the natural and is forced to shy away and take a third.
A big marine tank push from AureS comes out. Ling bane kill off most the marines but there's still the tanks and a few marines. DaBoo is forced to pull drones, but marine reinforcements come in just at that time and DaBoo has to GG out of the tournament.

Good morning everyone! The most shocking news will probably be that naama DIDN'T go out last night. Though his drunken bowling skills (ds rack3) are legendary, he actually went to bed on time and practiced.
The millenium guys just now wandered in and look like they walked a thousand miles through a blizzard (get it, sc2 pun). Elfi just sat down as well. Looks like we won't start any time soon.
I'm hearing we need to be done by 2 though, which I don't see happening at this rate, but we'll see!

Elfi and Naama FOCUSSED yeah yeeaaah

Jumping in late on game 1. Stole Naama's chair so I could sit next to Elfi. He's on 2 base 8P on Xel vs 2 base 2T DieStar. He's got the typical P deathball out. Collo/stalker with a few sentries for flavor vs mostly bio. There's nothing really that can take out the collosus, only really marauders left. He's forcing scv's to be pulled. Forcefield on DieStar's ramp and GG.
Game 2 on terminus, Elfi spawning at the 4, he finds DieStar qui ck at the 7. Elfi opens 10 gate and sends a stalker to DieStars ramp but he can't get up. Based on the marine count at the ramp he goes robo, I expected a korean 4gate really. Another gateway gets added as well as collo tech. Elfi then scouts the starport with techlab, looking like a quick raven build to get that PDD out and destroy any heavy gateway play, so good read by elfi.
Elfi opts to expand off the 2 gate robo, little greedy. Naama says that T will push out any moment now and exactly 8 seconds later DieStar's army marches down his ramp. It's a good mixture of viking/tank/bio. Elfi added another gate after the expo and is building a 4th, but he really doesn't have the armycount to defend against this with 2 collo/3stalkers and a small amount of zealot/sentry. He sacks the expo right away and tries to pick a fight at his ramp. Good forcefield at the ramp, but tanks are sieged up right below it. The vikings are doing a ton of damage to the collosus and as Elfi loses them, he gg's out to DieStars 1base all-in. 1-1

The third map is shattered. Elfi spawning at the 12 and finding DieStar late at the 3, close air. Elfi adds second gas early, then adds a robo quick. He skipped the zealot and has just one stalker at the ramp, he's finally getting a second one out. Must be quick tech.
Elfi adds 3 more gates, he's going to go warpprism play, but PERFECT scan by DieStar as the warpprism pops out and he sees everything. Elfi tries to be aggresive regardless, dropping the stalkers and warping in zealots on DieStar's high ground but DieStar easily cleans it up. He's now warping in units at DieStar's natural, running them up the ramp doing minor damage to DieStar's army. Naama believes it's GG soon and Elfi is clearly very far behind.
Clutch play by Elfi, warping in units at the top of DieStar's base and running them into the mineral line. DieStar's army is no where to be found and Elfi is doing some damage. Meanwhile DieStar has moved his army across the map and is running his marines up the ramp leaving the tanks at the bottom. Elfi takes advantage of that and immortal drops the tanks. He's able to kill 2 tanks before the marines come back and keeps the warpprism/immortal alive. Another tank comes in and Elfi simply lacks the gateway support units to deal with the marines. Again he takes out the tank with his immortal but the marines are killing off Elfi's zealots way too quick. Marines now get to the mineral line. Elfi desperately tries to counter by warping in units at DieStar's mineral line, but even though damage is done, DieStar is beating on the production and eco of Elfi. Elfi gg's out and DieStar moves on in the winners bracket 2-1.
MoMaN goes to congratule Adel it looks like, I'm guessing Adel won that match.

The Millenium guys are posing for pictures for their manager. Except for DieStar who's watching a CS stream, looks like 1.6 but too far away to tell and Tarson. Tarson doesn't pose for pictures, Tarson plays SC2. And when he gets knocked out, he plays some more SC2.

DieStar is told that he's not getting paid if he doesn't get let them take some pictures, rawrawr. They settle the issue by putting a decently cute girl next to him so everyone is happy.

Caught up with Naama at the catering, he easily 2-0'd his last match and has MoMaN coming up next. He says he's not worried as TvZ is his best matchup.

Trying to encourage shinigami who ended up in the winner bracket finals of the amatuer level after his tough loss in the 5 man group. Against everyone's expectations, MoMaN got knocked out by AureS, so AureS and Naama are setting up.

Adel vs LaLush is being seriously ruined by the commentators. I can't tell whether they're casting or beatboxing. Regardless, they're lying back in their chairs and every so often one of them leans back to yell "aaaalalalalalaa", "aiaiaiaiaiaii" or "eeeleeleleleleee". I've never seen two people seem so uninterested in what they're doing. Maybe if I could understand more of what they were saying it wouldn't be so bad.

Xel Shattered Metal are the maps for naama vs freman in their loser bracket match. Winner plays the winner of stephano vs adel I believe

Have the best seat in the house, next to Naama for his loserbracket game vs aAa's Freman. Xelnaga's the first map loading up and after a quick crash/remake, we're off with map 1. 7T vs 2P with Naama opening with a standard 12 rax, but at the top of his main far away from his ramp and CC. The scouting probe sees the scv go back to the mineral line so no panic from Freman, but no harass either (it is Xel though).
Naama follows up with an FE while getting a reactor on his rax. His army is going to be out quite late. Now he follows up with a factory so his army is going to be even later. He compensates with a bunker at his ramp. He's clearly gambling on a longer game.
Naama techs up to banshees and finally scouts Freman again. Freman went FE as well and has a lot of probes out. Naama tries to run the scv up but Freman burns a forcefield at his ramp to stop him. Meanwhile the banshee is now done.
Naama takes his nat finally after using his FE as a glorified mule/scv factory for a while. He places 2 bunkers, because, well, those can be free and he needs to be ready for a 2 base P deathball. The banshee meanwhile picks off a sentry with full energy but not much else. A raven comes out second and a second starport for naama who is getting pure tank marine as his main army. The second starport takes a tech lab as well and now the banshees are rapidly making their way onto the map. Naama's also upgrading his bio and gets cloak.
Cloak is clutch seeming Freman blundered without much of any detection at his bases. Huge damage is being done and a chronoboost goes off on the robo to get that observer quicker. Thankfully for Freman he seems to have plenty probes to spare, definitely looks oversaturated. Naama takes this chance to clear the rocks and secure his gold as his 3rd. Still pure marine tank banshee with that single raven for support, no medivacs or vikings at all.
Freman decides his deathball is plenty molded and added in some immortals next to the collo/stalker for spicing (against marine/banshee, not something he did happily I'm sure). And he tries to secure his gold as well. He clears the rock and expands but Naama aims to shut it down. He uses his banshees to harass the main and natural and forces Freman to pull his army back. Tank/marine then moves in to force a cancel on the 3rd. Naama even placing turrets at the third just to delay it more and keep the collo's away.
Freman decides to counter attack instead and moves in behind Naama's gold. Seeming somewhere in the conversion from bw high ground advantage got lost, it's quite a clever attack. He kills off several scv's without having to close in on the PF but Naama sieges up and forces him away. Freman moves his army back all the way around and tries to push to the left Xel tower instead. Naama's marine control is sickeningly good, but without medivacs every stim hurts him so much. Regardless, Naama manages to set up a forward contain at the third and towards the natural with Freman still stuck on 2 base. Freman does try to move in some but his army stands no chance as it has been picked at by Naama until little was left and he calls GG, 1-0 Naama

Shattered Temple is up 2nd with Naama spawning at the 3. He opens 12 rax again then gets gas. He finds Freman in cross position at the 9. 1 gas, gate and chrono is all he can see before he decides to run his scv back out hiding it near the natural. Naama is going for a quick concussive build and looking at his second gas timing banshees.
Starport goes down as Naama applies pressure with a very small number of marine marauder which mostly just stalls until the banshee is out. Naama actually goes cloak first and delays his banshee. He didn't stop Freman's FE, but he forced some more army. Banshee is now done with cloak following very quickly after. Naama with a bunker at his natural choke which seems like a fake and one at the top of his ramp.
Banshee makes its way to the natural and goes to town, going up to 12 kills with cloak. Second banshee easily defends the counter attack without detection. Easy win for Naama there who smirks and says "I aimed for a quick win cause mcdonalds was here" as he gets handed his fries.

Stephano just beat Naama 2-0 in a big wtf moment 0_o I was watching from behind Stephano and he was up to 2k minerals on 2 base with a second hatch at the natural. He just remacrod so quick with masslings after the army trade which was in favor of Naama and kept throwing ling wave after ling wave at him.
So next time you're up 2k+ resources, just think "don't worry, that's how the pro's do it".

Ok well, you can follow the remaining matches on stream. People are filtering out seeming the finals are so late and well, the casting is awful (or so I'm told by some of the people that can understand more French than me, I speak enough French to make out some of it but they're just screaming noises half the time).
