Its possible that the links to these vids have just not been made public. Some good missing europeans on top of my head: WhiteRa, Dimaga, Kas, Bratok, Tarson, Nerchio, Demuslim, Diestar, Naama, Ciara, Satiini, Adelscott, elfi, Insolence, Naugrim, Bly, sYz, Stephano, DeathAngel, Abver, Predy, Jimpo, Beastyqt and a whole lot more decent players. Not saying all of these should be in of course, but I think all of these are better than at least some of the applicants we have seen so far.
Hope at least White-Ra applies, otherwise i will be a sad fan =(
Counting 73 apllications now, Burpies list plus drewbie. Assuming they are going for five Koreans and there are no "hidden" applications, that means 28 of thoose who are on that list will not get in...
Sucks to be the guy having to decide whoose dream and once in a lifetime opportunity to crush.

Yeah, if they didn't invite players like WhiteRa or Dimaga because they didn't do that meaningless video that would be just lol

It's by no means a once in a lifetime opportunity. Every season 8 players get the chance to get into the league through an open qualification process. So while that may be hard to achieve it is still quite possible.

Given how hard it is to make it to the top in a 1024-man tournament and how some bad luck can kill even a great player in a format like that (especially if it is Bo1, not sure this will be that tho) it might be a once in a lifetime opportunity... I can see some of the players who are considered good but not monsters making thier career out of NASL season one if they could make it to the finals.
You are right a players career is not screwed for all future if they are not accepted into NASL, but the kind of opportunity they have here with this being an invite is huge.

83 applications are public, going by the list on this page [some mod edit this into the OP if he won't bother to update it]

Unless NASL and the players in question had a prior arrangement, obviously.

Its all about this invite. Getting in later will be extremely hard and will need a lot of luck. I really dont understand why they hold a single tournament with single elimination to find the new 8 new players for the next season. From seeding alone it will mean that many good players will face each other before reaching top 8. I seriously hope they still change this and hold more than one qualification tournament.

As much as I'd love to see WhiteRa in the NASL, I'd actually be disappointed with them if they made an exception just for him and no one else. That's not professional at all. If the rules are you need to make a video to be considered, then it's only WhiteRa's fault if he didn't.
(not saying WhiteRa didn't, for all I know he just didn't make it public)

You want to play in the league, you apply for it. It's very simple.
That said, it wouldn't surprise me if the NASL has had prior contact with Empire and RoxKIS and the application videos haven't been made public yet - it'd be quite strange for both of these teams to not show any interest in the NASL.

But in all honesty, if there are too many top players missing, they should just extend the deadline. For all players of course, nothing unfair about that.

ROOTDestiny should be let into NASL just for his VOD alone, honestly.

Maybe they have reasons not to participate.

As someone have said they could chose to prolong the deadline or give players the option to post their videos a little later. The videos, although a requirement, isn't the thing that gets you picked or not. (as I've understood it)

True. The application process isn't over until the NASL says it's over.
Without official word from Xeris or the affected players, we don't know what's going on.

Am I the only one that found this hilarious???

Jinro and Huk not in NASL? Two of the best foreigners in the world, if not in the top 3. This would be a big blow to NASL if they decide not to apply.
|
i thought kiwikaki would make a video as well but apparently not. a lot of top foreigners won't seem to be in it.

No surprises, considering they're the only 2 foreigners left in GSL.
