I've been eating at too many restaurants, and falling behind on blogging Need to push 2-3/day.
Visited M Henry on Saturday, and it was a great way to start a weekend. M Henry is listed under the "Bib Gourmand" section in the Michelin Chicago Guide, it has over 700 reviews on yelp and a rating of 4.5* (a very impressive feat).
Of all the things I tried, I particularly liked the bread pudding and the pancakes, as I've never had anything similar in the past, and they were an absolute delight to consume.
Brioche bread pudding:
I have never had brioche bread pudding before, and I absolutely love brioche. It was creamy, buttery and not overwhelming sweet. The peach and blackberries were slightly crunchy and refreshing.
Blackberry bliss cakes:
The bliss cake was incredibly delicious, easily one of the best pancakes I have ever eaten. The top pancake was creamy and fluffy, while the bottom one was soaked in the delicious compote. The mascarpone bound everything together while the oatmeal added a crunchy texture. This is a work of art!
Fannie's killer fried egg sandwich:
This was by all means a good sandwich, but I just didn't find it to be anything particularly special like the two mentioned above. The bacon was nice and crispy, and everything is exactly what I expected, in a good way. The eggs might have been *slightly* overcooked.
House potatoes:
This side smelled better than it tasted. I felt that a lot of flavours did not get through into the potatoes, but it did smell wonderful.

Cambium, you really like your food
Do you take pictures while inside the restaurant? Do the owners let you do that?

Yea for sure. Milk and Honey (blog in 1-2 days hopefully) was really good, and I'm going to Lula's Cafe tomorrow, which should also be really good.

Yea that's right. The owners generally don't care. Some actually encourage you to take photos (Girl and the Goat for example) and some strictly prohibit it (Momofuku Ma Peche for example).

awesome, keep 'em coming :D

I love you blogs
you doing your own review blog or something, or is this just a photo hobby??
|
Nope, this is just for fun. I write Yelp reviews too, but I like the format here a lot better.

I love reading about food almost as much as eating it, and I loved your other reviews too. Maybe if you do more it'd be nice to link to them, assuming its not too much work.

How do you mean linking them? Provide a link at the top of the blog linking to the previous ones? I can certainly do that.

God your blogs are SO addicting.
