Seriously??? I can't even tell wtf she was trying to say. It's absolutely unintelligible gibberish. The awkwardness I felt watching this youtube clip rivals the way I felt watching the infamous Miss South Carolina "speech"
I can understand freezing up on camera but this is just ridiculous, especially for a spot on a major event like the Grammy's on a CBS, a major network.
Like, I guess it's funny to laugh at, but I just feel bad for that poor woman. I can't imagine how much that little flub is going to harness her career.

This is actually what happens to people who have strokes (in the language center in dominant hemisphere). It's pretty insane, I bet it's most likely alcohol + nerves related though.
If she is noob anchor, then I can understand nerves getting in the way of her articulation, though I'm sure that this one flub will hopefully be the end of such mistakes.
Nevertheless, this is funny as hell. It was as though she was speaking a different language lol.
Twitter user Schneidfeld: "I just called CBS news desk in Los Angeles and Serene Branson is being checked out in the Hospital according to them."
I hope she's okay.
EDIT: "Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast. Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning." -- CBS LA

This is called Wernickes aphasia and is an indication that there is a serious problem with a certain area of her brain (The Wernickes area). She could have had a serious problem, it might be a stroke, seizure, tumour etc.
The symptons of the woman is actually receptive aphasia, more known as Wernicke’s aphasia.
The reason she can't speak the correct words (notice that she doesn't studder or seems confused while she talks with a controlled tone and motion) is because she has problems with the medial temporal lobe. Damage in this area of the brain destroys local language regions and also cuts off most of the occipital, temporal, and parietal regions from the core language region.
Yeah this really looks like brain damage, probably a stroke or a brain tumor. Funny if you don't know what's happening but that could be pretty severe. Shit, that's pretty intense and sad. Bad timing

In summary :This is not funny
and now I can no longer laugh at this. I hope she's alright. :x

lol you say "symptoms" as if you can diagnose her correctly just from watching a 16 sec clip. In the highly unlikely situation that receptive aphasia chose that moment to manifest itself then yes I would agree with you, however I dont believe that is the case, and if it is a preexisting condition then why would she run the risk of being a reporter on a LIVE show? You def have a good 'theory' but dont put it off as this is the absolute truth of the matter.
