Okay...
So I am at the club last night.
I end up striking up a conversation with an older gentleman named Joe.
He notices, rather adroitly, that I am smoking a cigarette and he asks me, "Hey, can I have one."
So, being the dickhead that I am, I respond "Well... what do I get?"
"How about any one thing from my wallet."
He pulls out a five pound mark, a ten euro mark... and a twenty dollar bill.
I think ten euros is actually worth the most but... fuck that...
so I grab the 20.00
There is literally a cigarette vending machine ten feet away where he could buy a whole pack for less than half of the cost.
But I am not one to look a gift horse in the mouth...
And that's how my night of clubbing paid for itself.

If it costs 20 USD to party in the club, then you are at the wrong club my friend.

Yup and you don't share cigarettes? Bastard

I actually find that extremely selfish. It's one cigarette. I don't get it.

On the subject of paying for a club night, does anybody else go to the casino directly after if they don't pick up a girl?
|
I dont smoke and have no idea why some one shares cigarettes and some one doesnt but this was an amazing exchange. GJ but you will never know if you could get more if you share just one.

You should try to space out the lines in your post more. It's so cluttered and hard to read the way you have it.

Actually the guy was really cool about it.
I wasn't being an asshole about it, we were just kinda chatting around.
I think the money just didn't matter to him. He kept saying how much he loved Americans and America and how great it was here.
Are you guys implying that I should have spent 'more' than 20.00 at the club or 'less'?
P.S ONE STAR!? UGH~!

Frog! You remembered!
That's sweet.
I am trying to keep a more open mind about this stuff these days. Who wants to sit around at home all night, right?
Also edit: If you give cigarettes to every person at the club who asks you for one you will very quickly have no cigarettes left. Am I the only one who has observed this?

Much, much more...

You don't let people take the piss, but if somebody needs a smoke you give them one and if you need one you ask politely for one.

Yea man smokers creed, cuz when u need one its always nice for someone to bum you one, but i see where your story was headed
|
Unless the guy tries to antagonize you in any way or was hitting on your friends, I would never say something like that especially at a club. It's best to be as friendly as possible at a club... because you don't know what might happen later on that night where you might need help/an extra hand/a ride home etc.

That Joe character sounds pretty cool, you should have given him a cigarette
|
You're kind of an ass.
Although I'm really wonder what Joe's motivation was there.
|
Isn't this prostitution? "I'll give you a 20 dollars for that cigarette, if you ... *RAWR!*"..
That sort of thing? Congrats, man - you sold yourself =).
