I dont smoke and have no idea why some one shares cigarettes and some one doesnt but this was an amazing exchange. GJ but you will never know if you could get more if you share just one.

You don't let people take the piss, but if somebody needs a smoke you give them one and if you need one you ask politely for one.
Unless the guy tries to antagonize you in any way or was hitting on your friends, I would never say something like that especially at a club. It's best to be as friendly as possible at a club... because you don't know what might happen later on that night where you might need help/an extra hand/a ride home etc.
Wait wait wait.... Who pays 20 bucks at a club? That is exhorbitant man. I don't exactly know what y'all do but unless I am going home with some gal, I don't know that I've ever spent more than 10, and with the girl tax is barely tops 20 typically.
I lived in Boston and have been out in a number of major cities and definitely don't understand paying even 20...

what, I've burned more than 400$ on several occasions while I was a poor student, you can barely get inside with 20$

I agree, I can get three beers and the cover for 15ish around here. Also, it sounds like the Joe guy probably had something inappropriate in his wallet.
