The same problem used to exist in skateboarding before it became mainstream. Stakeborders were sterotypical lazy, potheads, and looking for trouble. Then tony hawk came in and cleaned it up. Now skateboarding is an interesting sport and the negative stereotypes are mostly gone since a lot of kids were inspired by tony hawk. I can't think of a gangsta rapper that is a good influence on kids.

you're not gonna grow up in the projects with drug-addict parents without becoming a little jaded. unless you're jay-z, he's a pretty good influence.

I can't really understand the majority of the words (Though I can definitely pick out quite a few) but to be fair I can't really catch everything that a clean singer is saying either, and CC's vocalist in particular does not have a very clear screaming voice. Not to mention the lyrics of the song are pretty complex: "While they plead for cessation entirely demoralized and close to mass extintion damned to please supremacy the reason for their martyrdom they will never know " Yeah ofc I won't know wth he's saying... + Show Spoiler + Listen to a guy like Devin Townsend who has a relatively clean screaming voice. Tell me you can't understand ANY of the words even if you don't listen to death metal frequently. As for the Day[J] song, tbh I don't like it. It feels really uncreative, even though a lot of the references COULD be funny, they seem all forced so the author can say "Look at me I watched the last 10 dailies I'm such a fan". Not to mention the music itself is a 3 second loop of a piano hitting some chords with an uninteresting drum beat behind it, and the voice itself sounds like the guy rapping sounds like he has asthma and was recovering from a deep cough or something. Normally I don't mind the music behind the lyrics for all of these Starcraft songs as the point of the song is not to be musically original, but damn those piano chords are so grating on my ears after 1 minute.

And who actually gives a dang, wether people here like rap or not, you're a rapper and that song is your personal dedication to the man himself in your own style. It's brilliant, thx for sharing!!!

For my personal taste I really dislike rap, metal-rock and any of its kind, trance, dance, techno and all what they're called. I prefer melodical songs, like most of U2's songs to mention a band.

On December 29 2010 11:06 emc wrote: you guys seem to misunderstand that rock music is harder to produce than hip-hop. All you need is a computer for the beat (in this case the beat was borrowed) and a microphone to record. To make a rock song you need musicians who can play their instruments very well. I'm not sure how original the tasteless song is (because you can't find instrumentals of rock songs) but I'm sure it took more time to make than this one so all you haters should just shut up and enjoy the song for what it is. Who cares if it's rap? It's talking about something you like, open your mind for once and enjoy it. So in this case the creator did a good job with what he had, if he was limited on musicians then this is a great alternative, A+ on the song. now can we get off the subject of what genre of music is better than the other? seriously you'll never win that argument, music is a personal experience and you like it or you don't. Stop pushing your view of music on everyone else, you'll never win that battle. Im not completely sure what youre trying to say with your post, its kind of going in two opposite directions. You know absolutely nothing about rap if you think its only a computer and a microphone, you absolutely need instruments to play. My favorite hip-hop producer ever, J.Dilla, played the bass on the intro track to Common's album, "Be" and, despite using a lot of vocal and musical samples, got people to play their own instruments on his tracks. For example, he almost ALWAYS had ?uestlove from the roots do the drums on his tracks. Oh, and ?uestlove is from a rap BAND, where they all play theyre own instruments down to the guitar and keyboard. Good OP.
