Why would you automatically hate an entire genre of music? There's good and bad stuff in every genre. You're really just limiting what you get out of music when you hate something by default.
This... I used to be in the same boat but that was when I was like 12. People need to actually sit down and give genres outside of their normal listening a chance and learn to appreciate them.
Also, awesome song. Loved all the references.
I think its about the kinda rap ppl heard when they grew up. personaly here i heard only this "gansta rap" where if you listen to the lyrics they either brag,insult or repeat the same thing over and over. Stuff like that just makes you shy away. I slowly learned to appreciate it but i doubt i will ever enjoy as much as like say orchestra.
Oh wow, I didn't expect such a rough vocal when it was a fan-song, but that sounded great! Loved the song, and it'll probably stick inside my head for quite some time! Keep it up, this was amazing!
Also; loved that you actually used Ice Cube's instrumental, such a powerful beat (do something with Why We Thugs)! :D
Not to mention that if it was metal, the lyrics wouldn't even matter since you couldn't understand it.
What the fuck.
Think this is what he's talking about;
I mean.. what the fuck is he saying 99% of the time? He just makes a soar throat sound and blurts out a "Raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawhhhhhhh" every now and again..

Saying that metal is that is like saying that rap is gangsta rap.

Metal was the first genre of music I found myself really passionate about. It even inspired me to learn to play guitar. And I agree that the lyrics really do not matter in metal. More than half of my entire musical collection is metal, yet I do not understand/remember/know even 50% of the lyrics in most of the songs. Metal to me is primarily about the guitar and drums, the vocalist is another instrument for additional depth.
edit: great work OP! You actually rap really well.

They're not important, but you should be ablemto understand the vocalist. Unless it's death metal but that is garbage.
you guys seem to misunderstand that rock music is harder to produce than hip-hop. All you need is a computer for the beat (in this case the beat was borrowed) and a microphone to record. To make a rock song you need musicians who can play their instruments very well. I'm not sure how original the tasteless song is (because you can't find instrumentals of rock songs) but I'm sure it took more time to make than this one so all you haters should just shut up and enjoy the song for what it is. Who cares if it's rap? It's talking about something you like, open your mind for once and enjoy it.
So in this case the creator did a good job with what he had, if he was limited on musicians then this is a great alternative, A+ on the song.
now can we get off the subject of what genre of music is better than the other? seriously you'll never win that argument, music is a personal experience and you like it or you don't. Stop pushing your view of music on everyone else, you'll never win that battle.
