The first problem, is I currently reside in new york city. So after packing all of my things and preparing to move I found out the room I was hoping in renting has been rented to someone else >__> Are there any extremely gracious TL'ers that may inform me of affordable apartments in the orlando/winter park area or are looking for a roommate? The school's housing department has been less than helpful up until this point and I'm really not familiar with the area.   | ||

I had a friend that lived in the apartments across the street (Semoran) from Full Sail (with the street names Prince Charles and United Kingdom), and he had nothing but good things to say about the complex. If there is any opening there, get that place--it is really nice. I believe there are some cheaper apartments just south of the parking lot, but there are also plenty more to be had--go shopping for apartments if you can. Like I said, that part of town is very nice as far as the environment and people. I would avoid anything too close to the airport (I would advise you live north of Colonial Drive for that part of town), and avoid anything to with Orange Blossom Trail (commonly known as OBT). Worst comes to worse, you can always find someone living near UCF that needs a room mate. It may have a bit of traffic, but the campuses are so close that there shouldn't be an issue--just pick a part of town that is north of Colonial and the airport and away from OBT*. PM me about any questions, I've lived in the Orlando area for most of my life! *OBT is commonly associated with prostitution. If anyone ever tells you that someone is working the stop signs at OBT, well...you know :X | ||
