Hey Sterling theres something I'd like to do, Record the livecasts on Audacity on my Laptop then sync it later on and post it and maybe make an compilation of the tournament

yea ur gonna need some guaranteed way to hook everything up
and ur not allowed to touch shit (as in mess with cables and connections) anytime near the day of the event cuz tech guy isnt gonna be there so if u fuck it up were screwed and ill fuck u up
|
is it a bad idea to just have the caster speak into the mic and just leave the laptop mic where the speakers are? or have the caster wear the head set and speak into both mics?

Yes, both are bad ideas. There will be two casters and the mic is going to be passed around.

I wanted a variety of large and medium maps (there are no small iccup maps) to keep the games interesting
id like to limit it even more but then theres not gonna be much variety and half the ppl are gonna bitch and moan about why certain maps arent there

dont think its really necessary to record casting, but maybe we can talk to cybercraft see if they have any software or are willing to install software for it, for now dont expect to have audio recordings of the casts

Just to be clear on the rules.
No changing races between games.
Can I choose different race on different players?

No, ur race goes along with ur registration, once u've selected ur race ur sticking with it for the tournament

Nope. I should change that to say "no changing races between matches." Thanks for catching it.
@blasterion: the sound quality from speakers to laptop mic will be horrendous. It's like going to a concert and making a live recording.

if you show up early we can test the quality of it and see how it goes, if it doesnt interfere with anything and isnt in the way then there shouldnt be a problem with letting the laptop record output audio
only problem is it might echo cuz the casters are gonna be sitting up front by the speakers cant be very good quality and theres gonna be cheering when stuff happens too

Have people considered having league specific tournaments? Especially considering how quickly slots fill up. I suppose it would be easy for a skilled player to cheese their way down rankings, but since bronze level players are encouraged to participate, I'm sure some matches in the current tournament are very one sided ego busters/fluffers.

we can consider that for the distant future
its not easy organizing this shit so for now there are no plans for multiple league events/tournaments
