My rant was immature, but it was from my heart. *sigh* Sorry for this silly blog post, I am just angry right now.
EDIT: You missed my point. My blog post clearly says that any new BW developments (related to the current rift between Blizzard/Gretech/Kespa/OGN/MBC) that come out always result in the division of the TL community and lots of bickering.
I thus WISHED for all translators to not spread any more havoc than need be until the results of the lawsuit come out. Get it?

Why, thank you for calling me an 'uninformed idiot'. That is so nice of you. (Reinforcing a stereotype much, aren't you?)

I am simply FURIOUS right now.
I log onto Teamliquid, or lurk at times, to watch both BW and SC2.
NOT read new and more depressing BW news.
First, "Blizzard sues MBCGame", followed by countless posts of uninformed idiots.
Next, "Blizzard sues OGN", followed by posts of despair.
What could we as a community have possibly to gain from all these depressing news other than the enlightenment (sp?) of knowledge?
STOP IT! My head hurts already.
And Blizzard, why are you doing this? SC2 is already gaining popularity in South Korea; why must you take away our old passion in spite?
Why can't you leave our love for BW alone?!
I still love Boxer and Nada, despite nurturing a broken heart for their departure. But I am disgusted at everything Blizzard has done recently. And I am sad.
TO ALL TRANSLATORS: Do us a favor... COOL down on any new BW developments that come UNTIL the results of this stupid lawsuit come out.
Until then, f*ck you, Bobby Kotick. _|_

So you're mad because Starcraft news is being reported on a Starcraft website?

This is a forum, people have the right to discuss relevant topics. Please do not read if it offends you.

How does he know it offends him if he has to read it to find out?

I agree. We should BAN people who bring up news that are relevant to the community
While we're at it, if the medias report anything unhappy, we should shut down their channel.
Don't be ridiculous. If you're that sensitive, just shut down the tabs that scare you.

You can't have that one both ways.

Why don't you stop reading them. I think we know exactly why your head hurts if you think knowledge isn't a worth while byproduct of news posts. If you don't want to know about the news don't click on the posts. Who are you to ask translators to stop providing news to people who still actually care about BW? Your stupidity is so mind boggling that I think this post sinks lower than Plexa's "Effort is still bad" blog. I hate to bear bad news, but the world isn't composed entirely of candy and flowers. Also, Santa Claus isn't real.

The irony of this is quite funny in relation to your original post.

I get what you're trying to say, I just think it's dumb. I get that it's your blog and you can demand what you want, but it's pointless and selfish.
So what if TL people bicker? (I don't really know what you're talking about since I'm not reading those threads anyway) They're not involved in lawsuits and they're not even the important viewerbase - despite how important they think they are.

Us, translator's job, is to provide news to the masses, whether it's good or bad.
you can choose not to read them

Your welcome. Was that somehow supposed to nullify my post? I was merely using the language of the OP to supplement my own post.

Yes, I understand... This was a rant, and very selfish of me. Already updated the OP. I only meant the developments between Blizzard/Gretech/Kespa/OGN/MBC, not the rest of the BW proscene, like interviews and such. But it is true that translators still have their job to do, regardless of the material. =\

What are you so angry for? Its depressing, the state of pro-bw, I agree. But I'm not sure why you are taking it so personally.

Maybe "so personally" is not the right phrase for me. I... it is hard to explain, I guess. Maybe, I just fear the death of BW, that is all. =\

I know where you're coming from OP. The arguing is annoying - in any thread. But that's up to people not to pull each other up, debate endlessly and then get into arguing semantics and trivial stuff when they could just go "Hm interesting" and not post. It's not the translators who are causing this, it's peoples own lack of self-control and maturity.
As for not giving us the news as a remedy to the situation, I think that cure is worse than the disease. I personally want to know what's happening. Sure a lot of it is repetitive and slow. However, I'd hate the alternative which is blissfully hearing nothing for 6-12 months and then BAM! One single news post where Milkis is telling me that Blizzard just won a court case and Proleague is over. At that point I'd be asking why no one kept me informed and why I had no idea any of this was happening sooner.
Don't worry about the division it's causing. It won't even be there tomorrow. Teamliquid is stronger than that.

i try not to use the phrase 'its just a game', but i mean, not much of it effects you at all, so you shouldn't be so angry about it. also, there are plenty more serious issues in life to worry about than the comments from kids who have never played scbw, theres no reason to even give their comments a second thought.
bw wont die. even if blizzard screwfaces ogn/mbc, that somehow doesn't magically stop you or anyone else from playing the game. it doesnt stop them from giving the rights to someone else to broadcast more scbw either.
