Eh? I don't really understand what you are saying nor do I think you understood what I was saying. Re-read it again.

Lol you don't understand, I am not talking about how good the song is.
Re-read it again.

rALEIGH.. hes talkigna bout whatever Ayerh user thinks that he needs to expose TL to FEM, but zapdos is like LOL why u think u would need to do that, FEM is played like 142124 times already on the radio.
has nothing to do with quality of song

Re-read it again. No, I do understand. Do you understand what i'm saying? The way you're saying it makes it seem like if the song wasn't played on the radio all the time, no one would have heard it, it would still be unknown.. People always like music more once it's not mainstream, right?
(-V)
alffla I do know what he's talking about. I'm only half talking about song quality.

That's not what I was saying at all, I think you are reading a little too into my previous post. Personally I don't mind the song at all, kinda prefer that junk to the rest of the radio junk, if that makes sense.

Egh usually that's not the case. People tend to like what is popular, that's why it's popular. Even within less-known music genres, people prefer the more popular group/artist of that genre (Armin Van Buuren etc.). I'll agree though there is an appeal to liking less-known music.

FEM wasn't actually played on radio when I posted this back in september. it is now though
and honestly, the quality isn't that bad... sure it's not the best, but it was obviously good enough to get recognized by a lot of ppl nationwide (US). if it was bad, it wouldn't be recognized. quality of music is all based on personal opinion anyways. i could think rap was trash and that country music was the best. i'm not saying FEM is high quality, they are just fun to listen to while getting drunk, if you know what that feels like (no offense at all).

Sometimes I get the feeling that people who really look down on mainstream music are just people trying to be "nonconformist" or something like that =P.
I'm not a very big fan of music like G6, but I'm not going to call it trash or what not. Using the term "real music" is pretty freaking low =P. Music is Music cmon now.

I agree completely. Sure there are song that get annoying after you hear them 50 times in one day, but that doesn't make them bad.

I personally could not party to 'real music' I was just at a Travis McCoy/Gym Class Heroes concert and before they went on stage the deejay was playing Like a G6 and the crowd goes nuts even when people haven't heard the song before. I agree, I think their music is great and I support everything FEM does as the first group of asian americans to be signed to a record label outside of Jin. And you can't tell me that theres a good reason that no asian americans are ever signed. Yeah. People can't fully appreciate their music until you hear it at a concert/party/rave/dance or what not.

Don't come on a message board and make a post askng for people's opinions if you are just going to bash people who disagree with you. I said I didn't like the music, and you launch a personal attack over it? Thats pretty pathetic. But atleast you could have made it a little more creative, the "oh i party unlike you nerd" is so fucking overdone it's not even funny any more. And you obviously don't even club or party very much, as these songs are so old I dont even know that many DJs who play it anymore (not that they ever did). There are also so many who do this kind of genre better and can get a club hyped up 10000x faster than FEM. PM me if you want recommendations. Please use some critical thinking skills and maybe some process of elimination here and there. ... And I was just trying to get the people of TL more exposed to 'fun to listen to' club music. ... And realize that I don't care who you are, and did not respond to your post until this one.

You are full of snide comments aren't you.
If you look down at TLers then why are you even on this website, not like we need Mr.Ego-Trip from the "outside world" to inform us of "like a g6".

if you want good party music, get into dirty house or dirty dutch shit is SICK!!! dj chuckie WHEEEE AFROJACK WHEEEEEEE
|
i think house is good, but isn't that what they play at gay clubs. lol
|
ahaha. i think electronic music in general originated from gay clubs. But yeah, who cares where it came from. If the musics good and you like it, then listen to it and play it
|
and honestly, it really depends what kinda party or what kinda crowd you partying with. If its gonna be with people that like to grind on each other, then obviously more hiphop-ish songs are better. If you want upbeat music that people can just dance to and have fun even if jamming by themselves, then electronic is the way to go (especially house)
|
Party music and that's about it, and even then I still find it annoying. I can think of ten artists off the top of my head that I'd rather listen to at a party than most radio hip-hop.
|
Ugh, music elitism. Does it get any more pathetic? People like different kinds of music. It's subjective. There is no good or bad. Stop trying to say "FEM" is bad. You can say you don't like it, but it's only an opinion.
I "Like a G6" quite a lot. It's catchy, and the asian chick in the MV is smoking. Double glad they're getting some attention finally because I know they've been trying to make it in the game for awhile now and have put a lot of effort into advancing their music career. Sad that some people just want to bash on them and their life's work simply because they think their opinion is superior.

i'll chip in my 2 cents
i think FM is okay but honestly i feel like the track is quite decent but the lyrics were pretty much meaningless. probably only put lyrics in because they want radio play, but i like the electronic house style they're doing it's very catchy. i don't quite get why they're trying so hard to rap about meaningless shit, just release an instrumental version jeez.
i still prefer better electronic artists though, swedish house mafia is quite good, i love deadmau5 and i like dnb quite a bit. calvin harris/justice are all very good and a good example of mainstream mixed into dnb is pendulum, i like them because i've had enough of bitches/cribs/drinking/clubbing in mainstream songs
this isn't from a clubbing pov btw
