you say
You say I'm likely scum because there hasn't been someone that I've gone directly after, but isn't that what scum does? Don't they attack everyone to remove suspicion from themselves.
Arent you just saying you are scum here? You're saying you do that and you're also saying scum does that. So umm, you;re saying you're scum.
Also whats with all those quotes you put. They don't even have a name that someone posted. One shows that it's pandians right but the next ones we dont know who those posts belong to.
I dont know why you are bring up Artanis here. He's already dead. You say If you want to go by clues, then how about the glaring one pointing you you? Which might mean that you are defending yourself from someone attack your clue connections However you saying
If you're town then you must realize all clues can be interpreted more than one way. means that the one attacking you has a right to do so and your clue and thinking can be wrong anyway. So you defend yourself, and then you say the other guy is right that he can think about clues different ways.
So you admit to what a scum may post like and you admit that you post like a scum And you try to defend yourself but at the same time, admit that you may be wrong

This is why I don't like analyzing posting behaviour and whether they are red or green from that, because it leads into a bit of a WIFOM.

I think you misread that. SiNiquity says I'm scum because there is no one that I have directly attacked. I say directly attacking multiple people is a scummy action, which I never did. Thus, no I am not saying I'm scum.

All quotes obviously belonged to SiNiquity. The one you seem to be looking at was a nested quote that wasn't formatted. I'm not sure how that is even relevant though...

Because when people die, they leave clues behind, which is what I posted. Did you even bother to read what I said?

No, I'm pointing out that by SiNiquity's logic, if I'm scum that he would also be scum. If he is town then I'm hoping he can connect the fact that obvious clues don't always point to scum, also shown by the straightforward baseball bat clue.

why are people throwing their votes away
the two main wagons right now are kitaman and heavonearth (what happened to kenpachi anyway?)
why is, for example, flicky voting siniquity out of nowhere? this is as good as abstaining. vote.

btw the town circle can still use people who want to be DT checked tonight.

@kitaman27
You seem reasonable, so I'm going to level with you. There's a clue that resembles your profile on several levels (picture, quotes). Is this dead certain? No, as you pointed out the obvious baseball bat clue for Hittegods was a red herring, which is why I was interested in your defense.
You made several strong claims which I didn't really recall from the thread (but as memory is hazy and this thread is huge, I went to double check). I'm glad the Artanis one did check out, and that does make me believe that you're far less likely to be mafia. You'll have to forgive me for not doing it myself - after doing the day 1 lynch I really didn't want to look at the vote thread any more. The most exonerating piece of evidence, though, would have been a push for Masq either at the beginning, or in the middle when he still had a real chance of being lynched. Does the fact that this doesn't hold condemn you? No - heck I even voted after you. But without it I didn't feel that it really added to your defense. So I proceeded onto your next claim:
If you look back at my clue analysis I have called out both Aeres, a mafia, and MetalFace, a vamp.
But you didn't ever really call either player out. Here's Aeres:

And MetalFace you mentioned only in passing, a single line in a post naming many other names (yes, mine included). Neither of these makes for a strong defense, yet you represent them as such. I know town and mafia can swing either way with regard to posting / voting patterns (WIFOM and all that jazz), and I'm not basing my decision on useless banter as everyone, myself included, is guilty of that. But the over-exaggeration just doesn't sit right with me. It seems dishonest.
So level with me. Why overstate calling out these players?

Although kenpachi and HeavOnEarth all seem scummy to me, the new evidence against kitaman is quite strong. Also, since the clues against kitaman are derived from Aeres' kill then kitaman has a great chance of turning up vampire. We need a vampire kill right now so kitaman is our best bet.
@annul: if people "throw away" their votes on arbitrary players to make a point and to abstain at the same time. Flicky might just want to draw attention to the possibility of Siniquity being scum and is also indecisive on who to vote.
|
i mean you can draw attention through thread posts. siniquity has been under fos for a while now too. but still it is a wasted vote because in this cycle, with 7 hrs left, sin isnt gonna be lynched. not voting on the main wagons just makes me think you cant commit to one because you dont want to be analyzed if the other pops red
i mean maybe it can be good if you really have no idea and cant contribute but in that case you may as well just take the modkill since you arent playing anyway

but who the fuck knows ive been awake 38 hours i am not making sense

Fair enough, I didn't realize until after I posted it that my discovery of Aeres's clue wasn't posted in the thread. I wasn't even thinking of that other post. About two days ago after looking back at the clues here is what I noticed:
Somewhere deep in the town, bumatlarge was sitting alone at a bar at midnight. He wasn't alone, there was another man sitting in the corner. The man stared at bum, making him nervous and jittery. As he started pounding down more drinks the man approached him. He was thin and gaunt, he appeared to be a scholar of some sort. The man finally spoke
I really love to read. I'll read pretty much anything that I find interesting, and that's a lot of shit. World War II historical accounts, War and Peace, Dante's Inferno, anything by W.E.B. Griffin/Steve Berry, Stel Pavlou's "Decipher", astronomy textbooks, "Uncle John's Bathroom Reader" series... you name it, I'll probably read it.
I pm'd someone with the clue since they said in a pm that they knew someone who knew a Dt. (I'm not sure if they want to reveal themselves to confirm or not, but it would be appreciated). They replied with a simple "thanks" and I never heard back. Then two days latter Aeres pops up dead with no further mention of his name. I'm not exactly sure what they did with the clue I gave them, whether they checked him or somehow leaked it or if Aeres being targeted just happened to be a coincidence, but I realize now that it was a mistake to not mention it here. I wanted proof from a dt or mad scientist before I went after him since he seemed clean from his posts, but I never heard back.

I admit you can call pointing out the MetalFace reference weak, but if I was vampire, why wouldn't I just omit it? No one would ever notice if I did.
I guess it comes down to whether you want to go after someone who is actually trying to defend himself or someone who has been skating by for days as a lurker.

if you know what you're doing it really doesn't have to involve the wifom part and just go with pure logic, with practice i say and parlay parlay

I'm not voting kitaman or heavonearth. You guys are voting him because of dumb clue analysis.
kenpachi is scummy as shit, HE BANDWAGONS AGAIN, he hasn't contribued jackshit to this discussion, and you're letting him live again.
I refuse to vote for people that the only thing you have on them is clues

ok so when one of them flips red, you are a red, ok? thats what that logic tells me

Kenpachi is still holding my vote. Nothing has changed from the other day to really persuade me to do otherwise. I don't understand what you guys are seeing in the new clues that are better than what we have on Kenpachi. He has not contributed anything or properly defended himself even after the heat was turned up on him.

While I do like all of the new evidence that has cropped up, I don't like that HeavOnEarth has been in the radar, but untouched for the last few days. My vote is going to stay with him, as it has been.

So because I'm voting for who I think is scum, I'm red if someone else flips scum?

yes you are red if someone else flips scum because you are not making a vote that actually means a thing
the race is between kitaman and heavonearth. in fact i agree, kenpachi is scum. but voting for him is like not voting today.

IMO, HeavOnEarth has had suspicion on him far too long without a lynch. I can no longer see justification for keeping him alive any longer.

hmm. I'm trying to concoct a scenario where it would make sense to lie about calling out Aeres publicly, only to backtrack on that and lie about calling him out in a PM, and that just doesn't make sense. So I believe the PM bit. The question then is would scum out someone in PM land and not publicly? The whole scenario seems far-fetched. Why? To build up some kinda trust relationship?
At the same time, you PM someone you suspect player X, they say "thanks" and a couple days later player X gets killed by vampires (as player X was mafia), and then don't think to mention it? :\ Guess that hinges on why the PM bit was established in the first place, which if you wanted public would have already divulged.
In any case, this is enough to convince me. There's still the clue, but perhaps new evidence will help connect it to another player.
