"Lotze Fools Idra."
EG.IdrA < 1-2 > LotzePrime -
Game 1 @ Blistering Sands + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Idra opens 14 pool, 15 hatch as Lotze gets his core after gate, grabbing a quick expo and following up with 3 more gates. Idra techs to lair and puts down his roach warren. Lotze tries to put on early pressure with his 4 warp gates as Idra pumps out roaches and a few lings. Lotze goes stalker heavy and adds immortals from a double robotics, but he walks too close to Idra's roach army and loses his immortals trying to retreat. Idra sends more lings in and over runs Lotze's expo, prompting the GG.
- Idra showed poise and patience in the face of early pressure, barely having enough units to defend Lotz's first attack.
- Idra showed poise and patience in the face of early pressure, barely having enough units to defend Lotz's first attack.
This game Idra opens 14 hatch 15 pool, expecting a one base colossus rush based on the build-order scouting he had done earlier. Lotze plants a robo and simultaneously drops a proxy stargate and makes 3 void rays. They raze the expo and head towards the main and, with no other option, Idra GGs.
- Lotze plays an incredible bait and switch, practicing a fake build and even building a robo to be scouted, catching Idra completely unaware. The level of play wasn't amazing, but the mind games were.
- Lotze plays an incredible bait and switch, practicing a fake build and even building a robo to be scouted, catching Idra completely unaware. The level of play wasn't amazing, but the mind games were.
Idra opens pool before hatch and Lotze uses a build similar to game one, throwing down a fast nexus at his natural after just one gate core, following it up with 3 more gates. Lotze puts on some early pressure again, killing some early overlords but Idra squeezes out some hydralisks and gets a stroke of luck when Lotze traps part of his own army in some force fields. The hydras holds off the push and drops a hatchery at the middle gold but Lotze adds a quick hidden nexus at the 6 o'clock main. Idra drops some hydras in Lotze's main while sending lings around for some dual harass, but Lotze keeps the pressure up in mid with colossus. Lotze continuously forcefields Idra's army when it attacks, and eventually succeeds in killing Idra's gold. Idra gets some broodlords out to deal with the army, taking out many colossi. Idra attacks with hydra/broodlord/roach, meanwhile taking the 6 natural -- but doesn't realize that Lotze already has the main base. Lotze is able to harass the drones at the expansion as he builds up a force of void rays, colossi and warp gate units and pushes out. Idra finally discovers 6:00 and loses his army trying to assault it. Lotze then destroys Idra's neighboring expansion, prompting the GG.
- Lotze's hidden expansion paid off, but it was his constant pressure at the middle gold with great colossus movement and retreating forcefields that ensured its success. Lotz's economy was huge, and no amount of Idra macro could make up for the disparity in income.

LotzePrime - A
Used mind games, tactics, and execution in harmony to take an upset win over one of the tournament's favorites.
Idra - B
Idra's mechanical skill wasn't enough to win, as he showed a major weakness: predictability. Idra should have scouted better in games 2 and 3.

"LiveForever's harass and macro beats August."
AugustWeRRa < 0-2 > NexLiveForever -
Game 1 @ Scrap Station + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Both players mirror each other for a while, trying to marine drop each other early. Neither does any damage, and they both kick it into macro mode, playing very similar builds. August plays more defensive, absorbing LiveForever's early aggression. LiveForever pushes hard into August's main, putting August on his heels, but August manages to hold every push. Both players expand, making use of some minor drop tactics as they build up. LiveForever is able secure the gold and destroy one of August's expansions as LF's economy sky-rockets. August exhausts his economy as they trade jabs, but LiveForever assaults Augusts main and forces the GG.
- Interesting game with a few lead changes and expo trading.
- Interesting game with a few lead changes and expo trading.
Both players open similar to each other yet again, both teching up. LiveForever goes for a fast marine drop while August gets a fast raven. After some drop and air harassment, LiveForever secures his natural expo before August. The two exchange drops, with LiveForever doing much more damage than August. LiveForever continues to ferry units over, and August's spawning units are too little to hold the dam.
- LiveForever took hold of his advantage and just never let it go.

"Reaper clinic."
MakaPrime < 2-0 > jookToJung -
Game 1 @ Desert Oasis + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Jook opts for quick pool and ling speed while Maka opens with nitro reapers with a fast command center. Maka continues to make reapers as Jook pumps out more speedlings. Maka floats his CC to the gold. Maka manages to snipe the spire just as it finishes, allowing Jook to only spawn 6 mutas. Muling the gold, Maka's income quickly doubles the zerg's, but Jook works his way back into the game with muta/baneling. Jook does a ton of damage with mutas, hurting Maka's econ, but Maka sneaks a clutch marine drop to hamper the zerg's econ in turn. JookToJung switches to roachs but a poor engagement causes the zerg to lose too many units and Maka's ball. This combined with the drops deals the death blow to JookToJung.
- Zerg played solid for most of the game, but Maka never gave up and worked his way to a win.
- Zerg played solid for most of the game, but Maka never gave up and worked his way to a win.
Jook opts for early gas and pool for ling speed as Maka chooses a 3 rax, getting reapers and nitro again, the early bunker outside his nat causing him to abort his expansion attempt. Jook immediately throws down a roach warren and gets 4 roaches to dispose of the bunker. Maka continues to make reapers and micros too well vs the units struggling off creep. Maka snipes the expo hatch and Jook GGs, no doubt frustrated.
- Maka executes a flawless reaper build and wins a short game where the Zerg can find no recourse.

MakaPrime - A
Maka got behind at times but never lost his nerve, playing solid throughout and muscling his way back into the first game. In game 2, he put on a reaper micro clinic and made some Zerg users very mad.
jookToJung - B
Jook's opening and midgame in game 1 were strong, but he made a few critical mistakes and lost a major engagemetn to bad positioning.

"Mind over matter, macro over harass."
LegalMind < 2-1 > TankboyPrime -
Game 1 @ Scrap Station + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Tankboy opens with the aggressive assault of his own gas geyser, transitioning into marauder drop vs the warpgate army of Legalmind. Tankboy's first drop deals heavy damage to the toss units while taking no losses, and his second attack deals more for the cost of only 2 marauders. Tankboy harasses more with banshee and marauder drops, chipping away at LegalMind until he moves out with his bio/air army, steamrolling the depleted protoss in stunning fashion.
- Tankboy's harassment was devestating and his opponent couldn't recover.
- Tankboy's harassment was devestating and his opponent couldn't recover.
Tankboy opens with marauders and quick stim, but his first 4 marauders didn't do much damage. Tankboy walks off his ramp to destroy the rear rocks and Legalmind is able to walk right in, warping units behind himself and taking a quick win.
- Tankboy foolishly leaves his front door open and pays for it.
- Tankboy foolishly leaves his front door open and pays for it.
Tankboy opens with a nice build putting pressure on the Protoss with early marauder/marine/reaper and doing some nice early damage. Legalmind gets an immortal out to help hold his ramp with his sentries vs the marine/marauder/medivac pushes. LegalMind gears up for a colossus break and gains a huge advantage intercepting a medivac full of marauders. Tankboy throws up 5 bunkers to hold the push and desperately defends with point defense and vikings. LegalMind builds up a mass of colossus and pushes through Tankboy's army and takes the game.
- Legalmind rams his way through Tankboy with colossus stalker despite the tank/marauder/viking/pdd combo.

"Cool is always one step ahead."
CoolTSL < 2:0 > NEXTaeJa -
Game 1 @ Lost Temple + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
TaeJa opens standard rax timing vs Cool's hatch before pool. TaeJa opts for a fast fact to harass with hellions and reapers, but is repelled by speed lings before he can do any major damage. A late tank/marine drop on the cliff is too late to do any damage before the mutas spawn. Cool masses muta vs the Terran's bio-tank play, getting a gold and holding off Taeja's big push. The mutas continue to harass and chip away at the Terran as the zerg out-expands TaeJa and he finds himself unable to defend any of his bases against the growing harass.
- Cool shows how much trouble mutas can be for a Terran who goes bio-mech.
- Cool shows how much trouble mutas can be for a Terran who goes bio-mech.
Cool opens hatchery first again as TaeJa opens fact and a 2nd barracks. Cool manages to get his early lings in the terran base and exposes the Terran's plan. Cool sends 4 early roaches at the terran to disrupt the build. TaeJa adds another rax and tries for an early push with marine marauder and hellions, but Cool holds it easily with roaches and sunkens. Cool pulls ahead with a ling counter as the terran army sits in the middle, and TaeJa abandons his follow up attack with an early GG.
- TaeJa seemed way off his game this time, and Cool cruised to a win.

"Another round, another mule."
oGsTOP < 2:0 > PoltPrime -
Game 1 @ Delta Quadrant + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
No early trickery here are both players open standard rax-gas timings. TOP pokes with some hellions on his way to banshee as Polt gets vikings, sniping the first banshee as it pops in tops base. Polt sets up a tank contain at TOP's natural and TOP is forced to expend a large force of units to break out. Polt continues to pressure TOP's natural and drop harass but TOP's macro keeps him in the game. The two trade blows but TOP's macro wins out in the end with a nice attack, catching Polt out of position and taking game 1.
- Nice, action filled, back and forth game that exposed some weaknesses in Polt's mechanical command.
- Nice, action filled, back and forth game that exposed some weaknesses in Polt's mechanical command.
Both players open with standard, passive builds with Polt going tank/viking and TOP getting bio with tanks. TOP gets his natural up faster than Polt and catches up in vikings quickly. TOP's macro pulls ahead and he's able to get a strong position below the main cliff of Polt. Polt falls too far behind as TOP expos and deflects any harass and simply overwhelms his opponent. TOP does his signature move, dropping mules mid battle to show his dominance as he cleans up and launches some vanity nukes.
- TOP showed very formidable macro and decision making against a good, but over matched opponent.

"Inexperience dooms Maru against San."
MaruPrime < 0:2 > sanZenith -
Game 1 @ Delta Quadrant + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Both gamers open with normal builds, San getting a phoenix as Maru gets an early tank with his marines. San sends units to quickly take out the gold rocks so he can grab a very early nexus at the gold expansion. Maru expands behinds to play safe and deflects some DT harass Maru executes some hellion harass on the protoss economy. Maru eventually pushes out, dealing damage as San counters and kills the planitary fortress to buy time for his impending mothership, but Maru GGs before the final battle.
- Fast, sneaky gold expansion puts San ahead for good this game.
- Fast, sneaky gold expansion puts San ahead for good this game.
San gets an early robo this game while young Maru gets early marauders and three rax with his early command center. Maru gets his early pressure deflected by sentries and stalkers. The toss gets colossus for his own attack but is rebuffed by the marauder/viking of Maru. The toss goes heavy Colo/Stalker, using blink to hop up and down cliffs and chase vikings, building up steam and eventually bowling Maru over.

"Cannon rush for the win!"
oGsInCa < 2:0 > ReXZanDarke -
Game 1 @ Lost Temple + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Both players opt for one-gate gas core builds. Inca gets an early immortal while ZanDarke grabs 3 gates and they both steer towards colossus. The initial clash at inca's base turns in inca's favor due to his early thermal lance. They trade blows at each other's basesbut during a critical battle, ZanDarke over extends himself and mis-micros, throwing away a winning position. InCa holds under heavy pressure and ends up ahead after saving his expansion and 2 colossus, winning shortly after.
- Inca held in what looked like an almost impossible position, but that was mainly because of ZanDarke's mistake.
- Inca held in what looked like an almost impossible position, but that was mainly because of ZanDarke's mistake.
InCa proxies his first pylon and a forge next to his natural, and blocks the bottom of ZanDarke's ramp with two pylons. Inca throws up cannons next to the cliff as ZanDarke goes two gate, expecting proxy zealots. InCa keeps his probe alive in ZanDarke's base, providing vision as he makes pylons to allow his cannons to fire up. The cannons make short work of the zealots and force ZanDarke to GG.
- Nicely executed rush from Inca. ZanDarke didn't know what to do and died quickly.

Game 1 @ Lost Temple + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Both players open multiple warpgates with robo and bay. Tester stays one step ahead the entire game, even intercepting FreeSaga's first observer and expanding. FreeSaga attacks but Tester holds, choosing to trade armies instead. FreeSaga doesn't expand, going all-in with one base. Tester easily holds, riding his economic advantage to the win.
- FreeSaga played average, but that's not good enough.
- FreeSaga played average, but that's not good enough.
Tester opens 2-gate boost, while FreeSaga opens gate gas, deciding to not mine and add a second gate after scouting Tester's build. Both players get warpgates and Tester attacks but overextends himself, losing the battle. FreeSaga counterattacks, and Tester is unable to secure his ramp after waves and waves of FreeSaga's units warp and attack into his main.
- One micro mistake in the zealot vs zealot battle early snowballed out of control. Credit to FreeSaga to never letting Tester back into the game.
- One micro mistake in the zealot vs zealot battle early snowballed out of control. Credit to FreeSaga to never letting Tester back into the game.
FreeSaga proxies two gates at the center gold, just outside watch tower sight range. Tester goes 1-gate gas, and then a perfect storm of circumstances conspired against Tester:
1. FreeSaga's proxy has a 1/3 chance of being close to Tester, and it is.
2. Tester scouts FreeSaga last.
3. FreeSaga successfully fakes a cannon rush, forcing Tester to pull probes.
What happens next defies logic, as Tester not only holds 1-gate vs 2-gates, but manages to do it while sending a zealot to FreeSaga's main to secure an insurmountable probe advantage. Tester completely outplays FreeSaga, multitasking perfectly between his main and his opponent's main. FreeSaga can only watch as Tester makes the impossible possible.
- Although short, the stakes and play in this game make it the tensest, most exciting game thus far.

TesterTSL - A+
Tester was dominant in game 1 and was outplayed in game 2, but somehow managed to pull out a win in a horrible rock-paper-scissors build relationship in game 3. He was the huge favorite in this match and maybe he doesn't deserve such a high grade because of how close the series was, but it's just so hard to ignore how awesome Tester played in game 3. You're just not supposed to be able to hold in that situation. Tastosis were flipping out, and so should all the fans. Wow game.
NEXFreeSaGA - B+
Average play in game 1, great play in game 2, and a few huge blunders in game 3. FreeSaga was solid, and pushed one of the tournament favorites to the limit. The universe could only do so much to aid him though. You can bet that FreeSaga wishes he had a do-over from minute 5 of game 3.

LiquidTLO < 1:2 > oGsHyperdub -
Game 1 @ Xel'Naga Caverns + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
TLO opens an unorthadox tank/thor, while Hyperdub opens the more standard banshee into tank/viking. TLO establishes an early contain, but is unable to hold it and is driven back to his gold. Hyperdub pulls into the lead with an extra base, setting up a huge tank/turret line at TLO's gold. TLO barely holds his non-gold third with thors and repairing SCVs, and attempts to nuke several times but fails due to nice scans by his opponent. Hyperdub decides he is far enough ahead and attacks, but the attack goes horribly wrong, and Hyperdub loses most of his huge tank army to a smaller number of TLO's sieged tanks and thors.
TLO, now crawling back into the game, takes his fourth base while barely holding the center line. TLO harasses Hyperdub's 4th base with nukes, forcing SCVs to run. Hyperdub, still on 4 bases, continues to mass tank viking, and flies a group of vikings into TLO's main to harass. On his way out, most get destroyed in the radius of a nuke blast. Hyperdub splits his army and takes out TLO's fourth, but loses his own 4th base as well due to a well timed nuke by TLO which prevents Hyperdub's army from returning to defend. At this point in the game TLO is mining while Hyperdub is almost dry, having taken his bases before TLO. Out of resources and with a dwindling army, Hyperdub can only GG.
- Game of the tournament thus far, with TLO so far behind and then fighting back. TLO made some bad decisions in the early game, losing many thors, but somehow came back using stylish nukes TvT. Amazing game that you should watch right now.

TLO opens thor again, and this time hyperdub goes straight tank viking without a banshee. TLO expands earlier, but Hyperdub has more tanks and sieges up at TLO's natural front, using his superior viking count for vision. This prevents mining from several of the mineral patches. TLO breaks through the rocks to their shared cliff, with both players trading viking armies several times. TLO forces Hyperdub's natural to lift, and Hyperdub migrates to the gold base. However, TLO overextends himself and a nicely timed scan by Hyperdub destroys TLO's tanks on the cliff just as they were about to siege to break Hyperdub's contain at TLO's natural. Hyperdub's gold base is now fully functional and TLO does not have the tank count to hold his own bases. GG.
- Nice play by Hyperdub. TLO's opening was too ambitious and aggressive, and that cost him in terms of tank numbers and positioning.

Hyperdub proxies 2 barracks near TLO's choke. TLO scouts the wrong way, and Hyperdub completely fools him, waiting until 5 marines to do an SCV marine attack. TLO's late 1-rax cannot hold, and the series is over.
- Nice execution by Hyperdub, but overall quite an anti-climax to a great series. Tough way for TLO to go out, but he could have anticipated or scouted the close position earlier.

oGsHyperdub - A-
Hyperdub played well, and you can't fault him for making the "strategic play" in game 3. He outplayed TLO early in both games 1 and 2, and aside from the one big attack blunder in game 1, could have easily taken this series 2-0.
LiquidTLO - B+
Game 1 was probably the most epic comeback in a major SC2 tournament so far. Games 1 and 2 could have gone either way, and TLO was unprepared for the proxy barracks in game 3. People like to hate on risky all-ins, but this one was defendable if TLO had scouted properly. When the pressure was on, TLO played well and had his opportunities to win, but just couldn't pull it out.

Game 1 @ Metalopolis + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Keeping opens warpgate expand, but Rainbow's 2 rax forces a cancel of the warping nexus. Eventually, Keeping gets enough units to get his expansion up. Rainbow, still on one base, transitions into dropship harass while building an army back home. Eventually, Rainbow's ball becomes too large and he just rolls through Keeping's army with a nice timing attack. Keeping had colossus, but only one.
- Strong 1-base play from Rainbow. He completely controlled the flow of the game and knew exactly when to attack.

Rainbow opens banshee which is defended nicely by Keeping's obs and phoenix. Both players expand to their back naturals, Keeping's being significantly earlier. Rainbow rolls out with a large marine marauder medivac army, engaging Keeping right below the cliff of Rainbow's back expansion. Keeping's two colossus are caught firing at the CC for a few shots, and that allows Rainbow to destroy the Protoss supporting units and decisively win the battle and the game.
- Keeping opened well but his mid game battle micro cost him dearly.

Rainbow - A
Rainbow had a plan and executed it well. He seemed to be able to win even when the openings didn't go his way.
KeepingWeRRa - B-
Blind opened nexus in game 1 without enough units, and made a horrible micro blunder game 2. Those sort of mistakes won't cut it against a player of Rainbow's skill level.

"Check's macro too strong for Justfake."
CheckPrime < 2:0 > justfake -
Game 1 @ Metalopolis + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Cross positions. Check opens standard expand into roaches, while the Terran goes reapers and gets 4 raxes before expanding. Check makes extra hatcheries and queens in his main before getting his third. Justfake moves out with an MMM army with siege tank, and Check uses mutaling to cut off reinforcements. When the terran finally moves into attacking range, Check has over 100 lings and banelings off his many hatcheries, and easily crushes the army. Check then takes the gold and masses a huge number of banelings, using a nydus to harass the Terran's main. Justfake moves out with another MMM tank thor army, taking his gold as a third base as well, but Check's army is just way too large to handle.
- Check demonstrates perfect ZvT macro and management, using a ling/baneling composition to crush the Terran's attacks.
- Check demonstrates perfect ZvT macro and management, using a ling/baneling composition to crush the Terran's attacks.
Check expands into roaches again, while Justfake goes for 1-base banshee, but is unable to harass. Justfake's first tank marine banshee attack is crushed by Check's roach ling army, which completely ignores the banshees. Check techs to mutas while Justfake finally expands, getting thors to deal with Check's mutas. Check takes his third and fourth (gold) while Justfake takes his third with a PF. But Check is already maxed, and just rams a group of banelings into the undefended PF to kill it. When Justfake finally moves out with his army, Check has 8 broodlords and a huge mass of infestor ling baneling. Check attacks, using neural parasite on the thors and easily rolling Justfake's army.
- Check once again displays excellent strategy, awareness, and macro.

CheckPrime - A+
Check had perfect macro and army management both games. The result never looked in doubt and he always had a huge army to deal with the Terran attacks.
justfake - B-
He expanded and made a lot of units, but that's just not enough against a Zerg of Check's level.

"Patience and warpgates power Anypro over TheWind."
AnyproPrime < 2:1 > oGsTheWind -
Game 1 @ Metalopolis + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
TheWind opens expand, and Anypro goes four warpgate attack, but TheWind defends with many spine crawlers and speedlings, even using a few zerglings to counter into Anypro's main. TheWind opens up a nice lead, taking a third as Anypro takes his natural, but accidentally rallies 8+ drones to one geyser, negating his economic advantage. TheWind techs to lair, double evo, and hydra roach with corrupters, while Anypro gets mass stalkers and colossus off 3 bases. Anypro's attack does tremendous damage, using forcefields to prevent TheWind's hydra roach from getting into range. The armies trade, but Anypro's reinforcing stalkers and colossus are too much for TheWind to hold.
- Both players played well, with a very nice recovery by Anypro due to excellent large army control. TheWind will kick himself if he watches the replay and sees those extra drones on gas.

Anypro opens nexus before gate, and gets away with it by blocking his front with buildings to let his cannons warp in. TheWind goes nydus, which spawns just as Anypro gets his 6 warpgates online. Roach ling pour into Anypro's base, killing the nexus, pylons, and 1 or 2 gates before Anypro stabilizes. TheWind then uses the nydus to harass on Anypro's cliff and take an island as well. Anypro is forced to mine from only half his natural minerals with only 1 gas, and must run his army back and forth from cliff to main. Anypro abandons his natural and secures his gold instead, finally moving out to attack with stalker/colossus. He makes it as far as TheWind's main, but TheWind is on 4 mining bases and just has too much hydra/roach. Newly spawned broodlords finish the job, and Anypro GGs out.
- Decisive, aggressive response to Anypro's blind fast nexus. TheWind pushed his advantage much more effectively this game than in game 1. Anypro was on his heels the entire game.

TheWind opens standard expand, while Anypro opens 4-gate warpgate. Thewind doesn't have enough forces to defend both his ramp and natural hatchery, allowing Anypro to walk into TheWind's undefended main, forcing the drones to run and taking out the roach warren. For a minute TheWind stabilizes, but Anypro waits patiently for 2-3 more rounds of units and attacks again, this time getting his stalker army behind TheWind's natural minerals and taking out the hatchery. TheWind concedes shortly after.
- Excellent patience by Anypro, a lesser Protoss may have attacked too early or expanded after that first attack failed. Anypro displayed excellent awareness of the situation and pressed his second attack at the perfect moment.

AnyproPrime - A-
Experienced protoss who fought back from dire situations in all 3 games. Anypro knew what to do and when to do it.
oGsTheWind - B TheWind seeminly had the lead at times in every single one of these games, but just couldn't hold on. Fun nydus play in game 2 but the lack of aggression in games 1 and 3 (and the drone rally error) really hurt him.

Anypro's forcefields were critical in taking out TheWind's third base.
"Ensnare's strategies are smart and surgical."
Bleach < 0:2 > oGsEnsnare -
Game 1 @ Lost Temple + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Ensnare opens rax-reactor with siege tanks, while Bleach goes 2 warpgate into templar archives, expanding behind storm. But Ensnare scouts it and changes his strategy, instead turtling and going banshee and drop. The dropship takes out Bleach's nexus and Ensnare expands himself. Bleach attemps to break the T, but high ground siege tanks hold. Bleach does take out several SCVs, but two CCs can replenish workers and mules very well. Finally, Bleach gets a robo and warp prism to get his cliff, taking another main as well, but is already quite behind in terms of army and economy. Ensnare moves out, Bleach has a few storms but Ensnare ensures his tanks and marauders take the brunt of it, easily melting Bleach's army.
- Nice try by Bleach, but he had no back up plan if Ensnare did not rush with his marines and tanks. An earlier robo would have helped him tremendously.
- Nice try by Bleach, but he had no back up plan if Ensnare did not rush with his marines and tanks. An earlier robo would have helped him tremendously.
Ensnare goes 2-rax reactor tech lab, while Bleach goes gate core stargate, adding two more gates later. Ensnare rushes with eight marines and two marauders, busting in after one ramp forcefield wears off, but retreats after seeing the void ray. Ensnare builds some bunkers on his ramp, teching to viking. Ensnare trades a viking fora void ray, and then drops some MM in the back of Bleach's base, getting some nice probe kills before Bleach cleans it up. Bleach gets his expansion up, but Ensnare's 1-base army is still significantly larger, and Bleach can't do anything as the MMM viking ball rolls through his base.
- Excellent 1-base aggression and viking micro from Ensnare. Bleach lost too many void rays unnecessarily and should have recognized the danger earlier.

oGsEnsnare - A
Perfect scouting and reaction to his opponent's strategies, Ensnare was always in the lead in both games. Bleach even did the perfect counter build in game 1, but Ensnare just scanned and adjusted strategies.
Bleach - B-
Bleach had interesting strategies. His storms were on target in game 1 and charging up on his own buildings was a cute move in game 2, but he was just beaten by a better player.

"Clide breezes into Ro16."
DAVIT < 0:2 > ClideTSL -
Game 1 @ Xel'Naga Cavern + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
Both players open banshee, but Clide gets many more kills. Both players expand and get more factories and barracks. Clide just flies in and takes out Davit's raven, and in response Davit attacks, but Clide easily holds, killing off Davit's army. Davit moves out with marauder tank viking, but Clide has a larger army and many more vikings. When the armies engage, his raven point defense drones, which essentially destroys Davit's marauders.
- Davit only rushed in the Ro64, so everyone was curious as to how he'd do in a longer standard game. The answer: not well. But this set is still worth watching, as Clide could be the best Terran in the GSL right now.

Both players open factory starport, but Clide gets a delayed reaper which takes out two SCVs and scouts Davit's strategy before leaving. Clide loads up 3 hellions and 2 marines in a medivac, getting a mule and several SCV kills. Clide hides a raven in the corner of the map, running in to autoturret Davit's mineral line. Clide gets his expansion up earlier, and Davit finally deals with the lone hidden raven. Davit moves out, but Clide catches Davit's raven away from his vikings, and Davit just GGs, most likely out of frustration.
- Nice harass by Clide, but Davit was mentally defeated and just handed Clide the game.

He makes it look so simple, not just winning but winning easily.
DAVIT - C
Completely dominated. No chance for Davit here, and he knew it, tapping out of the second game very early.

"HongUn's colossus, phoenix too strong for Zenio."
oGsZenio < 0:2 > HongUnPrime -
Game 1 @ Lost Temple + Show Spoiler [Show Recap] +
HongUn opens front gates, sealing completely with a forge. Zenio opens pool first into 1-base roaches, forcing several cannons before nexus for HongUn. Both players expand, HongUn getting warpgates into double robo while Zenio gets hydras and nydus, cliffing HongUn and taking out his gas with hydras and spine crawlers. Zenio then uses nydus to get into HongUn's main and takes out the nexus. Zenio looks tremendously ahead, taking another main as a third base. But HongUn has built up several colossus, and when the armies engage, HongUn puts up some very nice forcefields to force Zenio to retreat. HongUn attacks into Zenio's main, and Zenio's mostly hydra army melts against colosuss.
- Nice opening strategy by the Zerg, but horrible army composition and late spire tech really hurt him. More roaches or corrupters were needed, as hydras are very weak against colossus. Lack of creep tumor spread also hurt the Z.

Hongun opens building wall into expand, using his scouting probe to delay Zenio's opening hatchery by quite a bit. Zenio opens double expand, while HongUn gets double stargate, boosting out several phoenixes. The phoenix group get 20+ overlord and drone kills before Zenio can mass enough hydras to defend, but by that time, HongUn has created a large stalker/sentry army which walls off the choke and takes out Zenio's third base. Zenio retakes his third, but his army was geared to stop colossus and HongUn went stalker only. The next Protoss attack ends it.
- Zenio is unable to deal with phoenix harass and incorrectly guesses that his opponent is going colossus.

HongUnPrime - A-
Was unprepared for Zenio's nydus strategy in game 1, but had excellent crisis management to hold and recover. His great phoenix harass in game 2 was too much for Zenio to handle.
oGsZenio - B-
Nice try in game 1, but his army composition really doomed him. If Zenio had his game 2 army in game 1 and vice versa, he'd have won the series. He needs to scout better and produce units accordingly.
