Turkish team played 2 close games with USA when USA had Duncan-Iverson-Marbury roster and lost both because they were not clutch enough. But as you may see, they are more clutch now. In short: USA needs luck to win. You're insane. Kevin Durant has a very good chance to win MVP in the 2010-2011 season, and he's much more suited for the international game than anyone from the Miami trio. The 2004 squad was a disaster because Larry Brown didn't get along with 3/4 of the team, so playing close games against them means very little.
You really think the U.S. team needs luck to beat a squad with 2 NBA players in it? The only way to beat this current U.S. lineup is with size, and you're in trouble on that front if Ilyasova is your starting 4.

61:48 at the end of the third quarter.. Not a bad game, US much better though . Durant with 7 3-Point-Shots in the first 30 min...

The game was dream 1 man team vs 12 Giant Men 0 man whatsoever. Turkey loses the game is not the thing that pisses me off. It's the way they did.
But still, Turkish team was the highlight of the tournament and I'm still proud with them, so as the whole Turkey. And of course Durant is the MVP.

Where's your cockiness now?

Someone from USA even cared to watch this? haha

Shoutout to Serbia National Team's coach's mother, who is a bitch that gets 5,00 $ to get laid.
USA gave Turkey a huge beat down even though they were huge underdogs (according to this guy), and although Turkey was basically handed a tourney to make the sport more popular in the mid-east.
How much to buy the Turkish coach's mother, bro? Shoutout to the low-low prices.
Trash talk aside, good job USA-B team.

The USA C team could've beaten the Turkey team. Kevin Durant is a man amongst boys.
|
Everybody gets all excited when their team does good against the USA at some point or another but the truth is the US national teams are never very good (barring the Olympic team cause we wanted to make a point.)
Then throw in the fact that the US never seriously practices for national games, while other national teams play together for extended periods of time.
Seriously, why would you be happy if your A-team can beat a B (or C) team who didnt even really practice?
|
^ That's because USA basketball is like Koreans in Starcraft. They are so far ahead of everyone else that even beating their C team is an achievement :/
|
I mean, I get where that could be true. But the teams don't even really practice and arn't even the same from year to year.
It's like winning a wcg qual against an off race player who didn't practice and was only playing with one hand.
|
Its fine the way it is. IF America send their best to every international tournament then that won't be fun at all (Not that America CAN send their best, they only send their best when something is on the line or public opinion warrants it).
And its not like the team that they send are bad or anything, they are still competing at the same level and STILL win most of their games but at least it give other countries a chance.
|
C team hahaha. You guys are stretching it. I don't think Turkey could beat a college team out of US. F team or something - that's more like it.
|
Watch as lil Metalwing hides into his little internet corner after feeling embarrassed about how his country did hehe ^^

I'd hardly call kevin durant (NBA allstar, Scoring leader 09-10, Runner up MVP, all NBA first team.) chauncy billups (NBA finals MVP, 5x allstar, 3x all NBA team, 2x all defensive team) the F team.
Seriously, its not like tyson chandler and rudy gay and lamar odem are terrible either.
