I don't know if anyone outside Turkey or Serbia watched this game from TV, but yeah. It was gg. GG till the buzzer.

Turkey won 83-82 with a layup scored by Kerem Tunçeri 0.5 seconds remaining.

Serbia's alley-oop attempt was denied by (i think) Semih Erden, and it's gg.

Good luck to Serbia in bronze medal match, good luck to Turkey in the final.

Shoutout to every single Turkish person at Sinan Erdem gym who were crying to their mothers when Serbia was ahead by 82-81. You suck.

Shoutout to Serbia National Team's coach's mother, who is a bitch that gets 5,00 $ to get laid.

Again, GG NO RE Serbia.

EDIT: Thank you all serbians who gave me 1 star, see you next time.

Wow, a rare thing here: A confident person. Turkey - USA will be a blast.

But I don't know why are you talking like you got Miami trio in your team which you don't. You don't even have a person who can be called superstar in the team. Turkish team played 2 close games with USA when USA had Duncan-Iverson-Marbury roster and lost both because they were not clutch enough. But as you may see, they are more clutch now.

In short: USA needs luck to win.

Man, in the US vs Turkey game, I don't want either team to win. On one hand, you have Turkey who have Hedo who I HATE! (Raptors fan). And then you have the US who are very cocky. Good thing I don't watch the FIBA Championships.

Kevin Durant is one of the top five players in the world right now and he's better than anyone who has ever played for Turkey, so I'm glad to see you know something about basketball...

USA vs Turkey will be the match-up of the two best teams in this tourney however, so hopefully we'll see a good game.

Well, as a nation, we Turks are good mannered.. TOO good mannered.. In the game, Serbians played really BM and their coach was like "shut up and play the game" against Turkish players. And the only thing that we did in the game was this: After Ömer Aşık was rofl-wounded by a serbian idiot who first slapped his face and then pulled him from his waist and the idiot got a foul, they were appealing against that decision and Ömer Onan just tried to explain that they were lucky because it was not flagrant and weakly pushed the idiot who fouled Ömer Aşık

Well, I know that my blog is not that good mannered, but if you watched the game, you'd understand why. Serbian players were OK, but Serbian coach DID look like a son of a bitch. At least through my eyes.

I understand your concerns as a raptors fan and I hated hedo when he played for raptors as well.

ROFL, I totally forgot that dude. And yes, he's the 5th best player on the world right now (a 6'9'' Shooting guard if I remember correctly and last season's top scorer in the NBA). He scored 33 against Russia, and that dude will do some stuff.

But again, it's not the point. It's this: Turkey is not playing against something like USA's 1992 roster.

And yes, I think that game will be the highlight of the tourney. At least I hope so.

hahaha watchin my serbian father\grandfather react to the last few minutes of the game was HILARIOUS.

for anyone who doesnt get it check out the history between serbia and turkey.

I just laugh at all the nationalism that hovers around sports, its really entertaining when people are super cocky and ahead and then they lose by a hair.

Both teams need luck to win. USA is appearently the better team among 2, but Turkey fans are better than Duke ones (I watched Duke vs Florida St. when Gerald Henderson was playing for Duke and Toney Douglas was playing for Florida St. and fans were so fucking impressive).

Marbury is always good. And yeah, when Marbury joined the team in 2004 Athens, he was good. But, he's not a person who can carry his team but he's the best person to help out the people who can carry the team. And the team had Tim Duncan and Allen Iverson who can carry the team.

And Marbury is so under fucking rated imo.

Many of the teams around the world are without their best players, not just NBA players from the US. Most of them didn't want to play because they had contract negotiations in the off-season or other reasons (players like LeBron, Bosh, Amare, etc.).

Yeah, a bunch of players who were on the previous olympic team decided to sit this one out, including all of the major stars. It's not the biggest deal in the world, but it hurts in a way most people wouldn't be able to fathom; It's not the talent itself that we lost, it was all of the practice time we lost as well. The vast majority of the national teams have been playing together for ages, whereas the USA team only recently started doing things like actually holding real practices and managing an actual roster.

You're insane. Kevin Durant has a very good chance to win MVP in the 2010-2011 season, and he's much more suited for the international game than anyone from the Miami trio. The 2004 squad was a disaster because Larry Brown didn't get along with 3/4 of the team, so playing close games against them means very little.

You really think the U.S. team needs luck to beat a squad with 2 NBA players in it? The only way to beat this current U.S. lineup is with size, and you're in trouble on that front if Ilyasova is your starting 4.

The game was dream 1 man team vs 12 Giant Men 0 man whatsoever. Turkey loses the game is not the thing that pisses me off. It's the way they did.

But still, Turkish team was the highlight of the tournament and I'm still proud with them, so as the whole Turkey. And of course Durant is the MVP.

USA gave Turkey a huge beat down even though they were huge underdogs (according to this guy), and although Turkey was basically handed a tourney to make the sport more popular in the mid-east.

How much to buy the Turkish coach's mother, bro? Shoutout to the low-low prices.

Trash talk aside, good job USA-B team.

Everybody gets all excited when their team does good against the USA at some point or another but the truth is the US national teams are never very good (barring the Olympic team cause we wanted to make a point.)

Then throw in the fact that the US never seriously practices for national games, while other national teams play together for extended periods of time.

Seriously, why would you be happy if your A-team can beat a B (or C) team who didnt even really practice?

I mean, I get where that could be true. But the teams don't even really practice and arn't even the same from year to year.

It's like winning a wcg qual against an off race player who didn't practice and was only playing with one hand.

Its fine the way it is. IF America send their best to every international tournament then that won't be fun at all (Not that America CAN send their best, they only send their best when something is on the line or public opinion warrants it).

And its not like the team that they send are bad or anything, they are still competing at the same level and STILL win most of their games but at least it give other countries a chance.

I'd hardly call kevin durant (NBA allstar, Scoring leader 09-10, Runner up MVP, all NBA first team.)
chauncy billups (NBA finals MVP, 5x allstar, 3x all NBA team, 2x all defensive team)
the F team.

Seriously, its not like tyson chandler and rudy gay and lamar odem are terrible either.
