I've always been very tall (About 6' 4''), and very confident. People have always done this to me, including for the period of my life where I was 260+ pounds (When I first got in to Starcraft, I believe.)

It may have something to do with height, or the aforementioned confidence. Today, I still have significant blubber about me (Not fat, but not too muscularly-defined either), and I'm not exactly the most attractive thing in the world. Even still, people touch my arm or chest when they talk to me.

OP yeah this is true... but it's not a women thing. A lot of your male friends will touch your biceps casually too, wierd.

Admittedly, I have a habit of doing that. I never thought of it that way, but I would say that I may be on the same level of attractiveness... "Fat and pokeable" Except I'm not fat anymore, so maybe people just got used to it and decided to keep doing it anyway.

hrmm...this seems like an interesting theory to test.

If this is true, what happens when multiple buff men are near 1 woman?

Is she confused, or does she just touch both of them, and if the latter, is it consecutively or simultaneously?

Also, I'm going to start working out more seriously now, to test this...

touching is an indicator of interest IOI. It's part of kinesthetics or Kino for short when gaming people in bars or on dates or whatever.

But it also works in other walks of life as well, for example a waiter that kneels down next to the table and takes the order at eye level and gently touches the customers on the arm with reassurance is guaranteed more tips in general.
