I've always been a terran hater (except for oov), but when a person attains the level that Flash has in broodwar, it's honestly pure art, not cheese. He rapes toss even harder than zerg and is incredibly robust in tvt. Jaedong is brilliant as well and equally smart, but Flash has the upper hand in in the mind games at the moment and you have to give him credit for his play. Game1: Brilliantly controlled timing push Game2: another ingenius timing push but of a different variation, Game3: decides to get down and dirty with Jaedong and is beaten, but in an extremely close game. Game4: is slightly on tilt and loses to some lings. Game5: Goes for an all-build and shows some great micro. I think he is the best player of all time without a doubt.
when JD and flash 1st met, flash was able to get the psychological advantage on him and beat in in 2/3 of the leagues they played in (Bacchus OSL and GSI). some months later JD is able to regain his mental edge and 3-0s flash in the GSL. from then on out I felt that JD held the mental advantage over flash for the next year+ or so, basically until flash beat him in the EVER09 OSL. When JD won NATE i thought to myself "he will always be able to gain the mental edge over flash in a Bo5 or on any stage grand enough", but I guess flash was able to regain some of his former series genius that he displayed in early 08 over the last 2 MSLs.

Flash has 31 kids, chews girlfriends, and rapes bricks for a living. That last one is no joke. There's a reason he's called the "Ultimate Weapon".

Exceot Ultralisks are easily stoppable :/ you have to have good flankin and swarms

They are easily stoppable by modern, tank heavy TvZ late game. But in 2007-2008 ultras were close to impossible to stop and many games looked exacly like that: mutas, lurkers, swarms, turtling, ultraling overruning. That were terrans who had to do 100000000000000 things in late TvZ with base drops, irradiates and swarm dodge. No metter that, Zergs still were bitching that Terrans were imba and easy to play (using irradiate was easy, but throwing swarms was hard? WTF???). Now the situation is opposite, now its Zergs who have to press the terran hard and attack them in all fronts, drops...just do 1000000 things to weaken T's economy or face the oblivion in the late game.

The counter argument to the "imba maps" ive heard is that it doesnt matter if the maps were imba, when jaedong made some wrong decisions in the actual games played. This counter argument ignores the fact that those "wrong decisions" in turn are implications of the limitations imposed on JD by the imba maps. Therefore, if we take the imba maps as a true premise(cba arguing about that.. haters gonna hate) then it is indeed true that the matches didnt show flash being more skillful than jaedong.
