I played this map with a friend yesterday, and overall impressions are positive. Remember to remove Xel'Naga watchtowers, though. I'm sure you still have many updates lined up, so I won't give too much specific feedback yet (I'll see how the newer versions turn out). I will provide more detailed feedback after a few more updates.

Since you're making a "Brood War" maps for SC2, why should the worker count at the beginning be kept the same as SC2, while other stats are being changed? Well, primarily for the same reasons you put in new dragoon/reaver/corsair models, etc. None of this is game changing, and I think it's not good to arbitrarily make some aspects similar to BW, while keeping others similar to SC2. Though you are probably correct about the mining rate part--since worker mining speeds can be changed, I suppose that can be a consideration for a future version or something.

Btw, is it feasible to increase the hit box? It would reduce some of the clumping. you sir are a pimp/baller. hope they can make the ai just as retarded as it was in bw lol makes pvt so much fun to watch when mines are out ahaha- you never know what them goons gonna decide to do lol

SEA is updated. US/EU should follow soon enough.
