I would say when being think of "physics" its more mech physics and EE physics. I would say there is quite a bit of it in mech. | ||

In general you probably would have to know physics so far as covering the effects the physics of the earth would have on the building (i.e. gravity, wind sheer, stress, etc. etc.). So I would think that knowing at least some fundamental physics for building safety/longevity purposes would be a requirement. However, if you are asking does being an expert in physics first, and an engineer second make you a better engineer, I can't really say one way or the other. | ||
