Hello,
I'm a very motivated French chess beginner and I would like to find partners able to play tutoring games with me and teach me the game.
I play a lot, every day, but I'm sometimes clueless about my opponent's moves. I know the pieces, the way they move and I try to avoid huge mistakes but that's it.
If someone is interested in wasting time, I'm online every day on msn & other stuff.
Just reply to this thread if you're interested :-)
Thanks !

Cloud suggested I read "Logical Chess" by Chernev... and it really helped my game. Now that you have learned the basics you should probably consider reading the same book.

There's a website, chesstactics.org, which gives very comprehensive groups of short lesson example positions, to help you develope your cognitive understanding and your intuitive recognition of all of the tactic types. Besides that, i've never had a chess partner before and i am always looking for good ways to waste time. Please pm me if you want some mass gaming.

I'm here in the enemy camp to promote baduk (go). It's what the asians play instead of chess, and it's very much fun.

Most people who enjoy chess would also enjoy baduk a lot, often even more than chess!
